Wang Zhifan’s "Summon Red Deer" skill was at Lv6 when he wasn’t wearing the Evil Spirit Exhilaration Necklace, but now that he’s wearing this new necklace, it has upgraded to Lv7.

"What improvents will there be with this skill upgrade?"

Feeling quite curious, he imdiately focused his attention on the skill panel and discovered that the skill closely related to the Red Deer Horse had indeed changed.

Specifically, Wang Zhifan can now summon and dismiss the Red Deer Horse 15 tis a day instead of 10, which is a 50% increase. The Red Deer Horse’s capabilities have also received substantial boosts, with its top speed increasing from 880 km/h to 1200 km/h and its daily travel limit rising from 5000 km to 8000 km, effectively elevating it to a higher tier.

Once he understood the details of this summoning skill, Wang Zhifan proceeded to summon the Red Deer Horse again and found that the skill level upgrade seed to have no impact on its appearance. He was quite sure it was the sa horse he had summoned before; the celestial horse looked no different under the influence of the Lv6 summoning skill compared to the Lv7.

"What if I take off the new necklace now?"

Feeling a bit curious, Wang Zhifan deliberately took the Evil Spirit Exhilaration Necklace off from around his neck while observing the Red Deer Horse’s state change. However, he found that the Red Deer Horse remained calmly watching him, as if observing a fool’s performance.

"Completely no change detected... Does this summoning skill level work like a buff effect, the higher the level, the stronger the Red Deer’s abilities?"

That’s the only theory Wang Zhifan could think of for now, as it was otherwise hard to explain why the summoned horse wasn’t a new one but his old partner after the skill level increase.

After this simple experint that didn’t even count as a minor event, he rode the Red Deer northward, heading to his next destination, Rogge Town.

It’s worth ntioning that while being idle on the road, he checked his personal panel again and noticed that the monsters he previously killed gave him experience points. His current experience bar had risen from 14/100 at the start of the mission to 73/100 now; he estimated that defeating another boss similar to the previous one could level him up.

The journey was mostly uneventful, besides the usual variety of small monsters and occasional elite ones on the wilderness. Wang Zhifan chose not to engage most of them, only trying those that seed promising, but found their reward lists offered no surprises.

After about two hours of monotonous riding, he finally reached a checkpoint guarded by multiple NPCs. Through interaction, he learned that Rogge Town was nearby.

"Hey! Friend over there! If you’re looking for our Rogge Town shelter, please co this way!"

Unlike the cold reception at Lion’s Eye Camp, he found these NPCs much more welcoming. They greeted him as soon as they saw him approaching on horseback.

Additionally, these people seed more professional, comprising of bown and cavalry from Lion’s Eye Camp, as well as mages in robes and warrior wielding sword and shield. The one calling out to him was a young man dressed in a grey mage robe.

"Hello! I need to sell so equipnt and purchase better gear. Is there a place for that in Rogge Town?"

Upon riding close to them on the Red Deer, Wang Zhifan inquired directly about his intentions.

As soon as he spoke, the grey-robed mage who had called out to him earlier replied:

"Rest assured, sir, our market in Rogge Town is the busiest in the surrounding areas, certain to et your buying and selling needs. Furthermore, there are many other adventurers from afar like yourself in town, likely offering topics you’d all be interested in discussing. Mr. Rogen had us stationed here to guide newcors."

This NPC praised Rogge Town as a bustling city and explained they were stationed here under superior orders to welco visiting adventurers.

"Oh? What is the reason the baron has gathered so many adventurers?"

Wang Zhifan quickly realized this might be the trigger for a quest, otherwise, the NPC wouldn’t have said such things.

"To combat the damned Demon Tide, my friend."

In response, the grey-robed mage in front of him imdiately replied, and when ntioning the "Demon Tide", a flash of intense bitterness and a subtle hint of fear could be seen in his eyes.

"Demon Tide?"

It was Wang Zhifan’s first ti hearing this term, so he was a bit puzzled inwardly, but didn’t show it. After all, judging by his expression, this phenonon seed well-known in this world; appearing too ignorant would not be good.

"Please proceed in that direction, our Rogge Town gates are open wide, and the Wild Rose Tavern, sponsored by the baron, is offering free drinks, though only adventurers have this privilege."

The mage then pointed Wang Zhifan in a certain direction, urging him to head that way.

Seeing this, Wang Zhifan didn’t waste any more ti. His senses told him there was no hidden danger nearby, so he rode the Red Deer towards the indicated direction.

Ten minutes later, he found himself at the edge of a large basin, within which stood hundreds of buildings of various sizes, alongside a vast field, appearing much livelier than the Lion’s Eye Camp. There was no doubt this was the so-called Rogge Town.

"So this town is established in a basin, no wonder they arranged people to greet guests nearby, to prevent anyone from missing it while passing by."

Upon arriving, Wang Zhifan appreciated Mr. Rogen’s thoughtful consideration; otherwise, travelers might indeed miss this location if passing nearby.

Having found his destination, Wang Zhifan then rode downhill into the basin, taking a guarded path to enter, as the mage had described before; he faced no obstacles and was warmly guided to a lively tavern near the center of the basin, the Wild Rose Tavern.

When Wang Zhifan dismounted on the streets of Rogge Town, nestled within the wild basin, he coincidentally noticed a familiar-looking figure smoking by the tavern wall.

It was a thin man dressed in black, with an unremarkable but young appearance, and a slight stubble on his chin, appearing sowhat disheveled.

"That assassin player from the camp before?"

Though Wang Zhifan hadn’t seen the assassin’s covered face before, he felt it was highly probable this was the sa person.
