The current challenger is a thin man in black with a covered face. As an Assassin player, his excellent stealth skills and extraordinary speed have allowed him to survive in the midst of monster sieges. Although he occasionally encountered so special monsters that detected him and launched crazy pursuits, he managed to either solve or shake them off.

The location he chose to challenge was a sturdy noble warehouse he visited yesterday in Rogge Town, containing a significant amount of rare equipnt.

Yesterday, the player attempted to seize more loot from this warehouse. However, due to the nurous guards and the All-Seeing Crystal, he was ultimately defeated. Now, those guards and the crystal have vanished, and the obstacles to his spoils have beco the massive number of monsters gathered here.

"Damn it... why are there so many monsters here too..."

While observing in stealth mode for a while, the Assassin player discovered that the situation was more complicated than he had imagined. He initially thought that the surrounding of such a sparsely inhabited building wouldn’t attract much monster attention, but it turned out that the number of monsters here was comparable to, if not exceeding, those in other places nearby.

"For the rare equipnt, I’ll risk it!"

With a slight hesitation, he clenched his teeth and chose to move closer. After all, the temptation of a warehouse full of rare equipnt was too great, even if they were a series of specialized equipnt with similar attributes, he was unwilling to miss out.

Being a player, he was well aware of the saying "miss this village, miss this shop." Delaying further would lead to unknown variables, so equipping himself adequately now was the wiser choice.

He then quietly moved closer in stealth towards the large number of monsters gathered around the warehouse, always mindful of whether they discovered his uninvited presence. In such a place, any accident would lead to a swarm attack from the monsters, and no matter how fast he was, escape would be uncertain.

"Good... these monsters haven’t detected ... My chance to rise is right before !"

After a simple reconnaissance, the Assassin player confird that none of the gathered monsters appeared capable of detecting him. Consequently, he grew bolder, stealthily slipping into the monster group, carefully passing beside them without making any noise, causing not a single pebble to move on the ground. He even used Assassin skills to minimize his aura, moving as if he were air itself.

Although the process was nerve-wracking, the result proved successful. He eventually passed unhard through the crowd of monsters outside the warehouse and reached the entrance, then entered inside.

Like many other buildings in Rogge Town, the warehouse had been forcibly destroyed by monsters. These brutal creatures clawed through the thick tal doors of the warehouse, ramd the sturdy marble walls with their sharp horns, and then sward in, tearing apart the few guards and administrators inside, leaving the place similar to other locations in Rogge Town—littered with blood and the stench of corpse fragnts.

The Assassin player, having infiltrated, was undeterred by these things, focusing solely on the chaos inside the warehouse. The once neatly arranged shelves had all collapsed onto the floor, with equipnt scattered everywhere. So were buried under debris from damaged walls, others brutally damaged, and quite a few pieces of armor had been torn to shreds, strewn like broken rags all over the place.

[Demon-Slaying Spear (Rare) (Damaged)]

[This spear has suffered heavy physical damage, losing its special powers. It’s barely better than a stick and requires a skilled blacksmith for repair to restore its original function.]

[Dagger of Justice (Rare) (Damaged)]

[This dagger was forcibly broken, with the attacker leaving their blood on it...]

[Shield of Protection (Rare) (Damaged)]

...

"What’s going on... why is all the equipnt here damaged?"

Seeing no intact equipnt information, the Assassin player’s once joyful heart sank to the bottom. He couldn’t comprehend why the equipnt had been ravaged to such an extent, utterly unlike the image he had of them being scattered, ripe for the taking, and leading to his rise.

Soon, a corpse in one corner of the monster-ravaged warehouse caught his attention, offering a clue.

It wasn’t a human corpse but one of a common fang monster, which didn’t seem to be slain by humans. It appeared to have died biting a Longsword with all its might, causing the blade to bend and deform. A nearby shelf seed to collapse over it, ending its evil act.

All around the warehouse, many pieces of equipnt bore bite marks not caused by humans, revealing the true culprits responsible for the destruction.

"Damned monsters! What the hell is wrong with them! Why destroy everything here!"

The Assassin player felt an extraordinary surge of anger and frustration. While he had braced himself for the possibility of looted equipnt, he hadn’t anticipated that these bloodthirsty brutal monsters would not only slaughter humans but also delight in destroying equipnt.

"Is it because the equipnt is designed to counter dark and evil forces, naturally despised by the monsters? Did they go mad upon discovering them and forcibly destroy everything? Even if that’s the case, the equipnt in this world still seems awfully fragile..."

The Assassin player quickly deduced a reasonably plausible explanation but didn’t dwell on the issue for long, moving on to the next task at hand.

This task was his last hope: searching for equipnt that still held value. There was a possibility that so lucky items had remained unscathed, perhaps covered before the monsters noticed them.

His task was to find them. Otherwise, he would loathe leaving with re junk after expending considerable effort and taking such a risk to co here.

This process involved more risk than his earlier plans since finding potentially intact equipnt required careful movent within this monster-surrounded area, moving large door panels or stones without making significant noise to check if anything valuable was hidden underneath.

After ticulous and cautious searching, he truly found a worthy discovery—a rare ring pinned under a shelf board.

[Ring of Light (Rare) (Slightly Damaged)]

[This ring has sustained minor damage, not affecting its special effects. However, further impact might cause complete damage, so seek a skilled craftsman for full repair as soon as possible.]

"Not bad, it was worth coming here after all."

Realizing from the item display that the equipnt was still usable, the Assassin player quickly picked it up, intending to store it in his inventory.

Just then, several wandering monsters outside the warehouse happened to pass by, one perceptive enough to sense his presence. It opened its mouth to growl, stirring the otherwise calm monsters outside into a frenzy.
