Wang Zhifan rubbed his chin thoughtfully, then ordered, before catching sight of a towering figure approaching him—a crocodile-man giant who recently had minimal presence on the ship.
"Old Croc, you’ll be responsible for guarding our ship. Don’t let any pirates get too deep in."
He said, slightly raising his head to address the capable giant from another race. He knew the man’s combat prowess well, easily able to take on ten ordinary pirates.
"Understood."
The crocodile-man giant responded imdiately. He was already fully ard and looked like a walking tank, clearly ready for battle.
Soon, just as Wang Zhifan had anticipated, the black pirate ship on the sea surface drew closer. The pirates noticed that this sea vessel didn’t even attempt to flee and quickly shouted with excitent, their voices clear from a distance.
"Hahaha! Thank the Sea God! We’ve caught a big one today!"
"This ship looks fantastic! It will definitely fetch a good price!"
"Brothers! Kill all their n! Seize their ship!"

Amidst the rowdy voices of the pirates, the pitch-black pirate ship soon closed in on the Great Horn Shark’s side. Multiple pirates then hurled grappling hooks towards the Great Horn Shark, trying to fixate the big catch.
But at that mont, standing on the deck, Wang Zhifan suddenly sprang into action. With a quick slash of his saber, he cut through all the hooks thrown at them. Then, leaping forward, he covered a distance of over ten ters in the blink of an eye, landing on the pirate ship’s deck.
Despite landing in the heart of the enemy’s base, he didn’t start slaughtering imdiately. Instead, he rocketed deeper into the pirate ship’s deck, leaving the pirates montarily stunned.

Seeing soone recklessly charging into their midst, the pirates’ initial shock quickly turned to anger. They all launched attacks at Wang Zhifan, who had barged in. It seed their sheer numbers alone could easily overwhelm this reckless guy.
However, given Wang Zhifan’s current strength and perception, he didn’t even see the pirates as a threat. He had already assessed their combat abilities as weak, with the strongest among them barely matching the crocodile-man giant.
As all surrounding pirates closed in on him from all directions, he spun around continuously with his longsword, seemingly disoriented and unsure of how to handle so many foes. As the pirates, grinning wickedly, lunged at him with curved blades or longswords, he appeared to go mad, wholly ignoring their close-range attacks, and lashed out with his longsword at a nearby enemy.
The pirates found his mindless fighting style laughably absurd and struck him with their weapons, but soon they sensed sothing amiss.
First, they noticed their attacks had no physical impact, passing through him as if he were a ghostly apparition. In contrast, this eerily behaving man’s strikes carried substantial power, severing a pirate’s head and the weapon raised to block it with just one swing.
"Not good! It’s a ghost! Use magic attacks quickly!"
So pirates quickly reacted, loudly advising others to abandon physical attacks and instead use magic with special effects on non-corporeal entities. But before he finished speaking, two more identical "ghosts" appeared on the deck, initiating efficient multi-point slaughter, throwing the pirates into disarray.
"These guys are too weak; they’re only good for to practice controlling the Dream Avatars in combat."
Unknown to the pirates, Wang Zhifan was not actually battling on the deck. He had already perched on the mast, watching the chaos below. The three frenzy-killing "he" on the deck were all his Dream Avatars, hence none of them showed physical forms.
"After leveling up the Great Dream Saber Scripture to Lv4, my Dream Avatars have beco much stronger. Any one of them alone can easily wipe out these pirates. This strength was impossible for past avatars, but they still aren’t strong enough; against powerful foes, they can only serve as support."
Squatting on the mast, Wang Zhifan observed the pirates attempting magic attacks on his Dream Avatars, only for the avatars to vanish montarily, causing friendly fire among the pirates. He made an objective assessnt.
Two days ago, using Dream Transformation Grand Thousand in a battle against that mysterious woman indicated that his Great Dream Saber Scripture had undergone a breakthrough elevation. This transformation didn’t rely bring new saber techniques; it enhanced his saber-wielder prowess comprehensively. Yet, he still felt he wasn’t particularly powerful and needed to keep improving.
"Forget it... There’s no point in killing these lowlifes... I’ll leave them to Chen Ming and Chen Can."
By manipulating the three Dream Avatars to stir up chaos on the pirate ship deck, Wang Zhifan rendered the pirates unable to focus on those aboard the Great Horn Shark. He then intentionally drove the pirates toward the ship’s rail closest to the Great Horn Shark.
Like a shepherd driving sheep, he had the three avatars rapidly mow down pirates on one side of the deck. Realizing they were no match for the three "ghosts," the pirates, under great threat to their lives, naturally fled frantically in the opposite direction, towards the ship rail.
At that mont, Chen Ming and Chen Can, whom Wang Zhifan had instructed days ago to find positions and prepare for battle, sprang into action. Both wielded rare-grade firearms as weapons, especially Chen Can, who was a gunner. Despite being just level one, his precision in shooting was already evident.
Positioned behind a large wooden crate on the deck, the new player wore a stern look as he opened fire with his rifle at the charging pirates on the other ship. While not achieving a 100% hit rate, it was certainly around 90%. Before emptying a single magazine, nearly twenty pirates fell under his gunfire, about half of them killed by headshots, rendering the scene particularly gory and frenzied.
In contrast, Chen Ming, hiding on the other side, didn’t achieve as dazzling results as his brother. Though he had previously boasted about his sharpshooting ranking among his friends, it was evident that after firing repeatedly, he had only managed to hit two or three pirates, none of whom were directly killed by him. They all succumbed to Chen Can’s accurate supplental fire.
"The output capacity of a gunner player is truly undeniable. Even though Chen Can is just Lv1, he can deliver deadly damage with his firearm, achieving both high efficiency and a safe distance."
Still on the pirate ship’s mast, Wang Zhifan witnessed all this, prompting his admiration. He considered that if he could restart his player career, he might choose the gunner profession. After all, the satisfaction of striking enemies from afar was imnsely exhilarating.

Soon, a black and sturdy bear-like leader on the pirate ship succumbed to insanity amid the overwhelming casualties. He couldn’t even command his ship to flee, as the three invincible "ghosts" had slain their crew. His only choice was to brace himself to engage enemies aboard their ship, hoping to turn the tide.
Luckily, the two vessels were already very close. With a special armor’s protection against incoming fire, he made a forceful leap. However, before he could seek trouble with the two gunners, a steel-armored giant, equally matched in stature, charged at him, nearly knocking him into the sea.
