"Are you the hermit ntor of Feng Xian?"
As soon as Wang Zhifan heard the word "Shenfeng," he reacted imdiately. He had only heard this term when learning about the life of a young general under his command. Connecting this with the old man’s anomaly before him, he instantly made the association.
"Xian is indeed my beloved disciple, but I am not here for him, and he is unaware of my visit."
The old man imdiately replied, while he picked up the teapot on the table and poured a cup for both Wang Zhifan and himself.
"Feng Xian is currently busy training a new batch of the Dragon Charging Army in Lv Country, so you are unlikely to et him."
Wang Zhifan nodded slightly, believing that the other’s ability to find him had nothing to do with his beloved disciple, for his accompanying visit was not predetermined, and his choice to stroll was purely spontaneous. The fact that this person managed to encounter him was indeed suggestive of so skill.
"Speak then, what exactly do you wish to discuss? I can tell you’re not soone who idles for no reason."
Having clarified this person’s identity, Wang Zhifan moved straight to the point, as his ti was quite valuable.
The white-bearded old man did not rush to answer. He first took a shallow sip from the tea beside him, then looked Wang Zhifan in the eye and said:
"I hope you outsiders can leave the Chaotic Realm as soon as possible. In the past six months, you’ve stirred up too many wars, and the people of Chaotic Realm have suffered needless calamities because of it."
"Heh... So you know who we are? Looks like you do have so skills..."
Wang Zhifan laughed upon hearing this. He didn’t expect this person ca to urge them to leave the instance. It was sothing he had never encountered before.
Generally, even if players’ attire and behavior were utterly disconnected from the instance environnt, the NPCs wouldn’t see it as an issue. So mysterious power would make them automatically overlook all abnormalities, ntally justifying the players’ presence, allowing smooth interaction with the instance environnt.
But this NPC, who called himself Shenfengzi, was obviously different. He broke this norm by directly referring to Wang Zhifan as an outsider and even wishing for them to leave the Chaotic Realm quickly, indicating he knew they were players from another world.
"If I refuse, what do you plan to do?"
Wang Zhifan continued, focusing on this peculiar NPC, curious whether he might be the real challenge set by the extraordinary ga.
"You will agree, sir."
However, the white-bearded old man remained unfazed by his vaguely strong presence, calmly responding without much thought.
"Oh? Are you so sure?"
Wang Zhifan raised his eyebrows in response, unable to ascertain the old man’s true strength, but the calm confidence from within signified he was well-prepared.
"Though my divination cannot fully uncover the workings of fate, the longer I live, the more I see... You are not the first outsiders in Chaotic Realm, nor will you be the last, but you have been the most destructive... Please settle everything swiftly, for the people of Chaotic Realm."
The old man expressed his understanding of the players, indicating his vast previous encounters with them in the sa instance setting.
"You truly have a compassionate heart."
Wang Zhifan remarked mildly, then replied with a tone of so helplessness:
"In truth, none of us wish to linger in Chaotic Realm, but leaving isn’t so easy; we must accomplish certain tasks to satisfy the conditions... Can’t Shenfengzi foresee all this?"
He felt this peculiar NPC only grasped a general idea, remaining a more aware ant under the extraordinary ga’s influence.
"My divination, indeed, cannot predict this, yet I still sense... I ca to see if you might aid a little in helping Chaotic Realm’s souls through this catastrophe."
The old man directly proposed aiding Wang Zhifan in this matter, which left him slightly flattered.
"Are you sure you can help ? If you truly wish to, persuade other countries to ally with my Feng Country. This would definitely shorten our stay significantly."
Since this mysterious old man offered his help, Wang Zhifan chose to trust him, reasoning that an additional friend is better than an additional foe.
"Hmm... I shall give it a try."
The old man, calling himself Shenfengzi, responded after a brief mont of consideration but pointed out one exception:
"However, there is one country in the southeast that I cannot persuade. You and he are destined for a great battle, a fixture of fate and a suffering of Chaotic Realm’s people."
"You’re speaking of Huang Country?"
Wang Zhifan imdiately realized, understanding that to complete the conquest required by this instance, he hadn’t spent the past six months in vain and had already investigated potential rivals.
"Exactly... The king of Huang Country, like you, is also an outsider, so it’s impossible for to sway him."
The old man nodded and took another sip of tea.
"Have you approached him already and got driven away?"
Wang Zhifan guessed that if the old man could find him, he could undoubtedly locate others, perhaps reaching a dead-end with them before coming to him.
"No... I never engage in futile endeavors."
To his surprise, the old man shook his grizzled head resolutely.
"My divination foretells that outsider’s certain doom, and only you can decide Chaotic Realm’s true outco."
He gazed calmly at Wang Zhifan as he said this.
"Isn’t that a bit too decided?"
Not one to believe in predestined fate, Wang Zhifan found the old man’s words sowhat perplexing, as he didn’t see the current instance scenario as firm. Although confident in the conquest to co, he didn’t think his opponents were completely dood, perceiving they too had slim chances of success.
"Such is the reading of the divination, and thus I have spoken."
The old man gave no further explanation and stood from the table, gazing southward, addressing Wang Zhifan one final ti:
"I will go and persuade all persuadable countries; you shall beco their ruler without shedding a drop of blood, but I ask that, once fulfilled, end all wars swiftly and leave this realm."
Having said that, his figure started to dissipate like a mirage, vanishing into nothingness, undoubtedly a high-level departure skill.
"This Shenfengzi likely holds considerable combat power, yet he saw through much and chose not to use force... Truly an interesting fellow."
Unexpectedly having exchanged repartee with a worldly savant, Wang Zhifan felt inexplicably touched; the direction of this instance was becoming clearer, indicating it might be ti to script its conclusion.
"However, after toiling so long in this instance, establishing a formidable nation, should I simply leave once it’s done? Leave behind a country without self-sustaining strength? That might cause even bigger problems..."
As he thought about this inevitable issue, he felt a certain dissatisfaction, for he didn’t want his long-earned achievents to crumble in an instant, at least not so rapidly, as it would leave him with a sense of futility.
"There should still be so redial asures available... Even if not very effective, trying is better than doing nothing; at least it offers so psychological comfort..."
With a bit of internal conflict, Wang Zhifan’s form also disappeared instantly from the room.
He soon relocated himself near the royal hall through dream entry and shattering, embarking on the day’s tasks, striving to manage and maintain the Feng Country he painstakingly established, hoping for a relatively certain future.
