"Oh my... Is this an interstellar setting this ti?"
The mont Wang Zhifan regained personal awareness from his daze, he found himself in a bright, airtight office full of a sense of technology. When he turned to look to the side, he noticed a disc-shaped transparent window embedded in the thick, tallic silver-gray wall, and outside the window was pitch black, but within the darkness, dots of countless tiny stars appeared, looking quite mysterious.
"This must be the porthole of the spaceship? And outside is the endless space?"
Entering this kind of environnt for the first ti, Wang Zhifan felt a bit excited. He tried hard to press his eyes against the center of the disc-shaped transparent window to see what was above, below, left, and right outside, but the answer was just as he expected: all the sa pitch black filled with starlight.

Wang Zhifan then realized that the technological level of this mission world is very high, which usually also ans that the danger level of the mission will greatly increase. For example, the vast space outside this porthole, if he unfortunately gets stranded there, it would definitely be over for him in a long ti.

Feeling both excited and nervous, Wang Zhifan then walked towards the door on the other side of the room’s wall, intending to go out and explore the situation.
However, the door in front of him was unlike any he had seen before; it had no handle to operate and was instead a smooth, white tallic door embedded in the wall. When Wang Zhifan approached it to figure out how to open it and go out, it automatically retracted to one side inside the wall, revealing a wide open door, as if it had detected his intention.
"Interesting."
Feeling curious, Wang Zhifan then stepped through this doorway and entered a corridor, equally bright. In the corridor, he could see several soldier-like figures standing straight, as if on guard.
These people were all wearing blue tech-inspired battle uniforms of the sa style, with fully enclosed yellow helts, thick-soled black combat boots, and white gloves, holding a one-ter-long, clip-less impressive firearm diagonally, seeming to possess formidable combat capability.
"These people should be allies, I can inquire about the situation."
Noticing that his appearance caused no reaction from the soldiers standing guard in the corridor, Wang Zhifan walked towards the nearest one without hesitation, stopping in front of the person.
Through the transparent visor of the yellow helt worn by the other, he observed that the soldier seed to be a mixed-race black person; his skin was slightly dark but his features had so Caucasian characteristics, and combined with a dium height and strong physique, he could barely be considered handso, except his eyes gave a peculiar, motionless, sowhat dull feeling.
"Hello."
After staring at this mixed-race black soldier for two seconds and noticing no reaction, Wang Zhifan had to speak first, slightly suspecting that this guard soldier might not be allowed to communicate with others.
But to his surprise, the black soldier imdiately responded after he spoke, though his eyes remained as dull as before.
"Sir, please issue the order."
The person opened their mouth robotically and slightly raised their head to look straight ahead at Wang Zhifan, appearing like an old-fashioned robot.
"Is this person well-trained or have they practiced until foolishness..."
Wang Zhifan was montarily unsure if this soldier was overly militarized or if their state was sowhat abnormal, so he proceeded to ask:
"Who are you?"
"Reporting, sir, I am a soldier from the Security Division, ID E64662."
The soldier imdiately replied.
After hearing this, Wang Zhifan went on to make a rather unusual request:
"Give your gun."
But as he finished speaking, the black soldier in front of him extended the peculiar firearm in his arms towards him, also answering:
"As you command, sir."
Feeling puzzled by this guy, Wang Zhifan took the firearm handed to him and found that this big piece was lighter than it looked and seemingly really had no magazine. Its muzzle wasn’t a conventional hollow barrel, more like so kind of launcher.
"What gun is this?"
Unable to discern the chanics of this tech firearm, Wang Zhifan then asked the empty-handed black soldier in front of him.
"Reporting, sir, it’s an SFII gamma radiation rifle."
The soldier responded imdiately, nearly chanically.
"What are its features?"
Seeing this guy answer every question, Wang Zhifan deliberately asked further.
"Reporting, sir, the SFII gamma radiation rifle has strong penetration, suitable for eliminating carbon-based lifeforms..."
The black soldier began explaining, showing no traces of thinking, extrely fluid in his answer.
"That’s impressive... In this world, even black soldiers can be trained to such an extent... Just not sure how high their combat proficiency actually is."
By this point, Wang Zhifan was deeply amazed. After thinking for a while, he returned the rifle to the soldier and proceeded to the next soldier standing guard in the corridor.
Upon reaching the second soldier, he finally noticed a conspicuous issue: this second soldier’s appearance was nearly identical to the previous one, at least as far as Wang Zhifan’s observation could tell no difference, and it wasn’t just the appearance; this second soldier held the sa dull state as the previous one, as if they were a duplicate.
"Could it be that these people..."
In his heart, Wang Zhifan suddenly had a suspicion. To verify this, he imdiately walked to the third soldier and discovered this one was just like the previous two, identical in appearance and devoid of eye and facial movent.
"Sure enough, clones, the kind ntally neutered at that."
At this point, Wang Zhifan could ascertain that these guard soldiers weren’t naturally human. They were undoubtedly a disposable product manufactured in this mission world for specific purposes; otherwise, there would be no reason for them to be so identical.

Just then, a series of urgent warning sounds reverberated through the corridor, causing Wang Zhifan to frown.
"Warning! Abnormality detected in α Biology Zone! Request imdiate support from Security Division!"

Amidst the deafening broadcast calls, Wang Zhifan realized soone was calling for help, or rather, calling for help from his departnt.
"You guys! Take to the α Biology Zone imdiately!"
In the ergency, Wang Zhifan could no longer hesitate; he hurriedly instructed the clone soldiers to take him to handle the matter, lest there be significant issues on the spaceship due to untily handling; he wasn’t confident he could survive in space.
Thus, a few seconds later, within the spaceship’s various corridors, a scene erged of several fully ard soldiers leading a distinctively dressed youth sprinting wildly.
During their dash, they passed through several functional areas of the spaceship, crossing paths with busy crew mbers, until they entered a relatively secluded control zone, where they encountered an anxiously waiting white scientist.
"You’re finally here! A specin of alien life I was studying suddenly ca alive just now! It’s highly dangerous, having already killed my assistant and two security squads! You must eliminate it quickly!"
The old man urgently prompted upon seeing Wang Zhifan arrive.
