"Pilot, please choose a suitable landing spot in the area where there seems to be signs of human activity! We need to start our investigation from there!"
In the cabin of the Guangshu, the blonde-haired, blue-eyed scientist Jessica spoke on the communication channel to the pilot with a slightly excited tone, seemingly not at all worried that the suspected presence of humans would pose a threat to them.
"Okay."
The controller of the Guangshu agreed without a mont’s hesitation after listening, bearing in mind that although they were the ship’s controllers, in terms of status, they were far below the scientists who were passengers; the scientists were the real leaders of this mission.
"Are there really humans on this planet?"
Wang Zhifan, listening alongside, also felt surprised. He had already figured out the background of this mission, and logically, there shouldn’t be any humans on this alien planet, especially considering the vast, peculiar architecture visible from the sky, which doesn’t match any human aesthetic from any group, resembling no world of human propagation.
Before long, as the Guangshu got closer to the planet’s surface, he could see things on the ground increasingly clearly through the porthole.
First, those gray, unusual buildings that looked spectacular from high above appeared even more magnificent. They resembled large and small cones with irregular arcs occupying most of the planet’s surface.
And as the spacecraft flew closer to the ground, it beca apparent that the surfaces of these cone-like structures were not entirely smooth but had tiny holes, from which even smaller things occasionally flew out, like smoke rising from chimneys.
And the bottom of the gray buildings was even more bustling, with faint signs of nurous tiny things darting around them, flas exploding and smoke blooming intermittently.
"The species on this planet seems quite thriving? They have the audacity to let the spacecraft land just like that..."
Wang Zhifan naturally regarded the barely visible moving objects on the ground as the dominant species of this planet, even though he hadn’t yet seen clearly what they looked like. At present, he was only contemplating how to handle potential pressure.
But at this mont, his gaze suddenly focused on a seemingly inconspicuous gray building outside the porthole, and he quickly connected to the communication channel to alert loudly:
"Pilot, beware! An attack is imminent at three o’clock direction! Quickly have the spacecraft attack or evade!"
It turned out his exceptional intuition had just detected a large amount of energy accumulating in that gray building on the ground, perceiving a powerful hostile attack brewing, prompting him to imdiately alert the spacecraft pilot to take counterasures, as he was currently just a passenger and directly aiding was inconvenient.
"Target detected! Initiating defense mode!"
Soon the pilot’s reply ca through the communication channel, his slightly surprised tone revealing he was sowhat taken aback by Wang Zhifan’s warning.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Subsequently, the Guangshu spacecraft began executing so maneuvering actions, causing the passengers inside to lean back involuntarily, while continuous, intense explosions erupted on the ground. The Guangshu had launched its attack first, hitting that gray building with two missiles before it could unleash its firepower, accompanied by a barrage of remote artillery, turning its brewing attack into brilliant fireworks before its power could manifest.
"This pilot is quite fierce... but I like it."
As the person with the most coordination skills, Wang Zhifan remained unaffected by the spacecraft’s maneuvers, witnessing the Guangshu violently bombard potential enemies firsthand, and couldn’t help but internally express his admiration; originally, he thought the spacecraft’s controller would choose to first evade, not knowing they’d prefer to strike first.
"Report! The pre-determined landing area poses danger! The spacecraft will shift to nearby regions seeking landing!"
Then the pilot’s voice ca again through the communication channel, and after the previous scene, they had no choice but to find another landing spot, lest they cause themselves discomfort.
"Mr. Wang, how did you detect the enemy earlier?"
Jessica, at this mont, didn’t disagree with the pilot’s decision; rather, she curiously looked towards Wang Zhifan, who was still observing the scene outside the porthole, perplexed as to why a re passenger could detect enemies earlier than the pilot, who had control over all the spacecraft’s sensors.
"I rely on intuition; my intuition always proves right."
Wang Zhifan replied without even turning his head, offering Jessica a reason she found difficult to refute.
"Then... the safety of the subsequent ground exploration will be entrusted to Mr. Wang. This planet doesn’t seem particularly welcoming to us."
Jessica’s gaze at this point penetrated the porthole, observing sparse elongated alien creatures pursuing the Guangshu, although thankfully, their speed couldn’t compare, thus posing no current threat, but on the ground, it’d be another story.
"Jessica, the detection indicates this planet possesses at least moderate levels of survival threats! Are you certain you wish to lead the team to land and investigate?"
Soon the communication channel carried the voices of the flight crew, growing increasingly aware that the planet wasn’t as tranquil as it initially seed, prompting their suggestion for the scientific investigation team to alter their exploration approach.
However, Jessica wasn’t overly concerned about the so-called external dangers; her sole focus was on fulfilling the task entrusted to her.
