In another world, in the bustling town known as Novi.
Yesterday, a horrific execution rescue incident occurred in the town square. Not only were two witches, who should have been burned, rescued by evil forces, but all the kingdom personnel officiating the execution were killed, and many civilian onlookers suffered and died. It was said to be the worst event in the town in recent years, severely challenging the kingdom’s authority.
Therefore, currently, all the kingdom guards in Novi Town have been mobilized and, after sealing off the town, conducted a full-scale search to determine the hiding place of the evil forces and eliminate them completely.
At the mont, nearing noon, in an inconspicuous alley in a remote district of Novi Town, a man and two won, cloaked with hoods, cautiously pushed open the door of an inn and stepped out, carefully observing the alley outside several tis.
"Those guards won’t be coming back soon; we need to get going, Irina, now."
The tall man among them was Wang Zhifan’s most familiar demon hunter, Gate, who whispered to the taller of the two won beside him, Irina, the black-haired witch Wang Zhifan had rescued from the execution ground, while the other slender figure was the blonde witch Bella.
Upon hearing Gate’s words, Irina nodded, then murmured a faint spell, waving her hand into the air to disperse a multitude of tiny lights enveloping their bodies, instantly rendering them invisible to the common eye.
"Blessing of the Wind!"
The other witch, Bella, simultaneously cast a speed-enhancing spell, not only making them invisible to ordinary people but also quickening their pace.
Thus, their escape adventure from Novi Town formally began, their extraordinary powers allowing them to flee the place under enemy darkness with minimal chance of trouble, as long as they avoided running into the kingdom’s wizards.
Soon enough, with invisibility and wind augntation, they stealthily passed through streets; sotis choosing less crowded to hasten their speed, or deliberately navigating busy streets as Gate sharply noticed several seemingly safe empty streets were actually enchanted traps.
This highlights how excellent their current configuration was; with the witches providing magical assistance and Gate offering keen insight and rich combat experience, ordinary traps had little chance of ensnaring them.
About half an hour later.
"Ahead is the city wall; guards are patrolling back and forth above, and kingdom wizards might have cast detection spells there; we must be incredibly cautious and not move too close yet."
Gate, walking in front, whispered.
The spot they reached wasn’t the controlled city gate of Novi Town, just an ordinary part of the city wall, reflecting their caution by avoiding the heavily guarded gate.
But the slender blonde witch Bella confidently replied:
"Don’t worry, I understand the kingdom wizards’ spells and am confident enough to deceive them."
Saying this, she moved forward ahead of Gate, leading them closer to the city wall symbolizing freedom from danger.
But when she was about a hundred ters from the wall, Irina suddenly stopped the others, gesturing towards a distant building in an excited voice:
"Gate, Bella, I rember that place; that’s the prison where we were held before the execution! I propose we go in and rescue the other imprisoned witches first, then join forces to escape!"
Her sudden suggestion carried a hint of impulsive creativity, appearing sowhat feasible but very risky, causing Gate and Bella to hesitate.
Gate pulled them into a concealed spot away from the wall, and spoke to the black-haired witch:
"Irina, I understand your desire to save those suffering, but we don’t have the power to help people right now; even if we miraculously stord the prison and rescued those witches, how would we fend off the surrounding guards? Moreover, many witches are tortured and unable to move, making it hard to bring them along."
Gate was stating facts; in their current state, escaping Novi Town safely was quite an achievent; wanting to save others would be quite overestimating their capabilities.
Yet, the black-haired witch remained unmoved by his words, firmly responding:
"Gate, your judgnt might’ve been accurate before, but you’ve forgotten our current state; we’ve been blessed by the Celestial Lord! Under its gaze, this mission isn’t impossible!"
"..."
Gate was left speechless, glancing at the short tal firearm from the Celestial emissary in his hands, almost wanting to roll his eyes as he retorted:
"Irina, do you think this little gadget can defeat those guards? Rescue the people in the prison? That’s simply absurd!"
He then looked at the slender blonde witch Bella, hoping she might help persuade the suddenly stubborn Irina.
