Wang Zhifan stood in the ruins of an enormous and desolate city, beside a severely corroded tal construct several stories high, sensing an entity rapidly approaching him from afar.
Under normal circumstances, he would feel a bit alert in such a situation, but he had arrived in this world by the Master of the Universe Badge, aning he could freely wield the Badge’s spatial powers, so he knew the incoming being couldn’t pose much of a threat.
Soon enough, a peculiar entity crossed the vast ruins and appeared in his view.
It was a gigantic presence compared to human size, possibly as tall as five floors, entirely black with unstable glimrs, silently floating above the ground, like a strangely roiling black cloud.
Its body comprised countless things that seed like smoke or light, and upon getting within two hundred ters of Wang Zhifan, it quickly morphed into a grotesque form with two large claws, and attacked without any interaction, trying to grasp him with its massive claws.
"A strange existence... neither an organism nor a machine, nor is it quite a spirit... probably has various damage immunity traits?"
As its enormous black cloud-like claws reached for him, Wang Zhifan effortlessly perford a backward leap evasive maneuver; for him, who had cultivated the Wind and Thunder Heaven-Treading Skill to harness wind and thunder power, this level of attack pressure was child’s play.
As he leaped into the air, the rare Wolf-Slaying Blade instantly appeared in his hand, and he swung it steadily at the enemy, releasing a seemingly simple but powerful flash of blade light, piercing through the colossal and murky body of the creature in front, creating a massive crack akin to a line of sky across its body.
But this didn’t an the creature was dealt with; in fact, the two-halved monster quickly rged and regenerated in the blink of an eye, rushing again toward Wang Zhifan in the air, still trying to grab him with its two black claws.
"Its aura hasn’t changed at all... Physical and spirit immunity? Hmm, ice powers have no effect on it either."
After the first round of engagent, Wang Zhifan refrained from further blade attacks, instead deploying Lightweight Sky Stepping Skill to evade while unleashing his epic ice source power attempting to eliminate the enemy, but unfortunately no obvious effect appeared; this enemy wasn’t even an familiar spirit form within illusions, not even the coldest power could freeze it.
"Fireball Technique, Thunder Skill, Death Ray..."
Finding so amusent, Wang Zhifan imdiately employed instantaneous spells from the Mage Power Treasure Box against the enemy.
He knew that using these spells as a non-mage player would likely be average, but his current aim was just to test how many types of damage this creature was immune to, prioritizing variety over potency.
Experint results showed that the creature in front could endure all his attacks without its aura strength altering the slightest, aning it indeed was as difficult as he imagined.
"Space Slash!"
Feeling sowhat troubled, Wang Zhifan then activated the Master of the Universe Badge’s power, instantly bisecting the space the creature occupied from the fundantal laws, creating a massive spatial fissure through the whole body of the creature, forming a terrifying barrier dividing it entirely into left and right halves.
This ti, the peculiar monster that had seed practically invincible finally suffered; its multitude of damage immunity traits seed unable to resist the destruction of spatial laws, causing its chaotic yet unified body to fail to regenerate, quickly collapsing entirely and dissipating rapidly into the surrounding sullied air.
Wang Zhifan subsequently landed on the ground, watching this bizarre and challenging opponent sink into oblivion, naturally producing a feeling of lancholy in his heart.
"No wonder this world full of advanced civilization traces is so dead silent, with not a shadow of a creature in sight. With such formidable monsters around, ordinary powers are utterly incapable, leading to extinction."
He entertained the thought that this entity which cost him considerable effort was perhaps a significant factor in the current world’s destruction.
At this point, he once again considered leaving, pondering to perhaps revisit this world later in search of powerful opponents when needed.
However, before he could really depart, an odd object caught his attention; it was a phantom door that suddenly manifested where the creature had perished.
For the sake of convenience, it could be called a door, after all, it had a conventional rectangular door shape, although it appeared extrely illusory, standing several ters high in the air, emitting ominous gray light all over, but anyone seeing it would think of it as a door at first glance.
"What is this... strange..."
Wang Zhifan couldn’t help but furrow his brows at this unexpected developnt, never imagining the creature’s demise would form sothing akin to a door, enticing him to enter.
"Likely a very sinister trap, testing my curiosity."
Without much thought, he knew it was likely not a good thing. A fortuitous door shouldn’t emit such dark, fragnted light, who knows, maybe a super big BOSS was waiting for him inside.
