When the young Mage who had targeted Wang Zhifan began implenting his latest trap, he was unaware that soone running on the street below had already detected his trail.

Credit for this goes to the Spirit that Wang Zhifan had stationed in the nearby area to follow him, because the Spirit, being an ethereal entity capable of passing through walls and buildings at will, could easily remain hidden. It was constantly controlled by Wang Zhifan to observe the surroundings. Information like knowing other players were not being pursued by the Zombie King was discovered through it, and how could Wang Zhifan not notice an enemy who thought he was staying undetected while following him from afar?

"Heh, cunning scoundrel, I intended to wait till nightfall to deal with you, but it seems you’re even more impatient than I am. Looks like I’ll have to send you on your way ahead of schedule."

At this mont, Wang Zhifan was fleeing down the zombie-infested street. When he noticed an anomaly in the actions of the young Mage, thanks to the hidden Spirit on the nearby buildings, he imdiately employed his own counter-strategy.

Ignoring the specific moves of several puppets arranged by the young Mage to harm him, he suddenly turned and dashed into a building beside the street, his figure quickly vanishing from the sight of the young Mage monitoring from a high-rise.

The young Mage felt perplexed at this mont. After all, he’d been watching Wang Zhifan for several hours, knowing that he had been continuously running on the wide street without ever hiding in a building, since it was evident that concrete and steel wouldn’t block the Zombie King chasing him from behind.

"What’s with this person? Why did he suddenly change his strategy? Did I sohow expose myself?"

The young Mage standing on the rooftop was filled with confusion, unable to comprehend why Wang Zhifan would exhibit a behavior change just as he decided to act, making him instantly alert.

In the next few seconds, a discovery quickly proved that his vigilance and suspicion were not misplaced.

This discovery was neither hidden nor complex; he suddenly noticed that the Zombie King, who had been relentlessly chasing the young man below, was rapidly altering its course to move toward his current position!

"Damn! That person has discovered my presence! He intends to kill !"

The young Mage felt a chilling terror at that mont. Anyone would share this shock, suddenly transforming from a high-and-mighty Hunter into the prey of their prey.

Feeling the life-threatening crisis, he imdiately turned and ran down the stairs, trying to quickly relocate himself. Simultaneously, he used his professional abilities to remotely control his puppets, aiming to swiftly determine the precise location of the young man who had dashed into the building, hoping to stop the opponent from getting closer.

However, the young Mage was unaware that at this mont, within a building wall nearby, there was a humanoid shadow unnoticed from the outside, observing his every move closely. By hiding within the wall, it continued to follow him from a calculated distance, aning his current position was being tracked in real-ti. While he had not yet located his enemy, the enemy had already locked onto him!

anwhile, Wang Zhifan, who had rushed into the building beside the street, was quickly maneuvering through rooms with zombies indifferent to him. At tis, he leapt through windows, then to balconies, or even off buildings—demonstrating his incredibly agile parkour body technique—as he steadily approached the young Mage attempting to escape from the high-rise in the distance.

"This ti, you’re dead!"

Wang Zhifan, ticulously managing the Mage’s real-ti location information, was filled with murderous intent. He refused to believe that a player with a Mage class could escape faster than him. As long as he continually directed the pursuing Zombie King toward the opponent’s location, it would not be long before the Mage died in the violent ravages of the Zombie King. Furthermore, Wang Zhifan would not bear significant risks of serious punishnt. Even if he faced so penalties, they wouldn’t be severe. After all, the young Mage who had trapped at least two other players couldn’t act so brazenly without repercussions.

Ti flowed by rapidly. As Wang Zhifan used his formidable physical abilities to jump through windows and across walls, approaching the young Mage tracked by the Spirit, the Mage gradually pinpointed his location through the Zombie King’s shifting path and began to desperately command his puppets to encircle him.

Yet, Wang Zhifan had anticipated such a situation. He specifically exploited his massive physical advantage to take routes other players could not, rendering the deathly slow puppets either unable to keep up with his speed or lose track of him entirely. They could only watch as he suddenly leaped from a second-story window to the opposite building’s window, and by the ti they arrived, Wang Zhifan had already moved far ahead.

Under this strategy, the relatively slow-moving puppets of the young Mage stood no chance of blocking Wang Zhifan. Many couldn’t even catch a glimpse of him throughout the chase, except for one very special undead. This was the greatest hope for the young Mage to stop Wang Zhifan’s assassination attempts—the undead of the player with the Assassin class, acquired only today!

This opponent originally had orders to go invisible and sabotage the fleeing Wang Zhifan on the street, intending to use synergy with other undead to corner Wang Zhifan to the Zombie King chasing him. The young Mage could then acquire a high-quality player corpse, but now this Assassin undead was being driven with all his might to pursue Wang Zhifan, determined to stop him at all costs.

Soon, as Wang Zhifan swiftly navigated through a room in a building, he expertly kicked open a closed door ahead and suddenly, without warning, drew his sword widthwise, slicing toward the side of the door. Imdiately, a dismbered arm holding a dagger appeared out of thin air at the spot he struck, dropping to the ground!

"Heh... trying to ambush here, thinking my 27 Spirit attribute is re fiction?"

It wasn’t because he’d long known the target’s whereabouts, but due to his heightened perception from his extensive Spirit attribute, allowing him to always sense his imdiate surroundings. Even with a door or wall in between, he could detect hidden objectives in the mont of nearing, thus resulting in this smooth and seamless counterattack, as though he had foreseen the attempted ambush.

With a single slash severing the Assassin undead’s weapon-wielding arm, Wang Zhifan proceeded with two swift cuts to decapitate and sever its legs, unsure if losing its head would indeed kill such an entity. To be safe, rendering it immobile was the best option.
