A while later, just as Wang Zhifan had instinctively felt, he saw the cylindrical alien spaceship and the purple giant moth collide once more. Shortly after, they collectively vanished again, repeatedly reenacting the previous collision scene.
No matter how one looked at it, there was sothing strange about this, as he was absolutely certain that both were real technological creations and special life forms, not illusions made for repeated viewing. This made him think about intervening to see if he could change their ceaseless collision and destruction outco.
"Maybe if I stop their constant collisions, I might discover sothing... but is it really without any risks?"
With this thought in mind, Wang Zhifan placed his right hand on the hilt of the Cyan Emperor Saber, hesitating internally.
With his power, he definitely had the ability to intercept or eliminate either side in advance, thus rewriting the ending, but he had a subtle feeling that things weren’t that simple, so he didn’t act right away.
"It feels like their collision signifies sothing. Perhaps forcibly disrupting them will trigger a series of subsequent reactions. I should observe for a while longer, and make a move once I understand this world better."
Slowly removing his right hand from the hilt, Wang Zhifan chose to turn around and leave, marking the location he had explored before exiting the current world.
His initial exploration of the Illusion Planet ended here, but he would definitely return, as he realized this world was far from simple, incomparable to a conventional Otherworld. If explored thoroughly, it might indeed offer the epic surprise ntioned in the introduction.
The second world he explored was the Epic Layer reward he received, the Ring World.
Compared to the perplexing Illusion Planet, the style of the Ring World was much more normal, giving him the feeling of a steel forest at first glance.
Beneath the slightly dim sky, a series of diamond-shaped cross-section tall black buildings stood on the vast land, with a feeling of lushness that seed to blot out the sky and sun.
In the sky above the buildings, many different-shaped flying crafts were coming and going, giving off a bit of an urban planet ambiance at first glance.
However, it soon beca apparent that it was different, because in the distant ground, a series of yellow-brown mountain ranges could be vaguely seen, a natural landscape that would never exist on an urban planet.
Positioned at the center of the sky was a small red-brown sun, which seed sowhat distant from the ground, appearing smaller than a child’s fist.
Its light was relatively weak, making the land seem as if it were dusk on Earth, even when directly struck by the sun.
"The radiation is a bit strong; this sun in the sky is probably a red dwarf star."
After gazing up for a while, Wang Zhifan felt so mild adverse feedback from his body. However, this feedback rely indicated an unusual external environnt and not that his body couldn’t withstand it. With his current physique, he could survive normally even in an environnt ten tis more severe.
"It’s said that red dwarf stars have long lifespans, lasting billions or even a trillion years. Using such a long-lived star as a central energy source to build a surrounding habitable ring might not be a bad idea."
Recalling so astronomy knowledge he had acquired in his early years, Wang Zhifan pondered what kind of alien civilization would thrive and develop in such an environnt.
However, before he could proactively investigate, the main party approached him, piloting a black saucer-shaped craft which descended from the sky and hovered before him.
The saucer wasn’t very large, its diater slightly smaller than a typical car, but its technological level was high.
Not long after, a white beam of light was cast from the bottom of the saucer, and in that beam, a gray-brown, football-sized yam-shaped presence gently landed, then addressed Wang Zhifan with a voice that was obviously chanically synthesized.
"Great Star Sea envoy, welco to the world of the Hess Civilization."
While the football-sized yam presence used technological ans to speak, Wang Zhifan noticed its round, dark-brown yam-like body bounced twice, adding a slightly humorous touch to its appearance, yet it still conveyed a sense of solemnity, likely owing to its race’s gesture of respect toward guests.
"I’m also glad to et you, envoy of the Hess Civilization."
Seeing this, Wang Zhifan displayed a composed deanor, tilting his head slightly as he graciously responded to the short alien presence on the ground.
He rembered the reward description ntioned that one should behave properly in front of Ring World’s natives; otherwise, their impression score would greatly decrease.
"May I ask what brings the Star Sea envoy to the Ring World this ti? Our Hess Civilization will do our best to et your needs."
The little yam on the ground continued addressing Wang Zhifan through technological ans with an expression of readiness to obey, aligning with the reward description which noted their assistance to the owner.
But Wang Zhifan had no special purpose for visiting this ti; he was just here to take a look at the so-called Ring World. So, without much thought, he replied:
"Envoy of the Hess Civilization, my visit this ti has no special purpose. I just wanted to tour and learn about various aspects of your civilization..."
Upon hearing Wang Zhifan’s expressed intentions, the football-sized alien presence quickly indicated acceptance, welcoming him to the black saucer hovering ahead.
As Wang Zhifan followed the guide into the white beam cast from the saucer’s bottom, he imdiately felt a peculiar force pulling him upwards, landing him in a strange space.
