The originally blossoming "Plum Blossoms" were engulfed, devoured, and transford into part of the data stream light as they entered the Pocket Galaxy.
The whole process happened quickly, and the curse ford on the officer’s body offered no resistance at all.
"Is the curse actually a form of energy?"
Su Changxing took a slow breath, mobilized these data stream lights all at once, and it drained a significant part of his spirit, leaving him montarily unadapted.
This is probably the best solution, as getting contaminated by these curses would likely be very troubleso.
Xu Kai walked up from behind, his face full of astonishnt: "They all died just like that? Teacher, you’re incredible. These people from the Otherworld are no match for you at all."
Su Changxing looked at the corpses on the ground, thought for a mont, and said, "I’m afraid these soldiers will co again. We should hurry and evacuate the people here."
Xu Kai hesitated for a mont and asked, "Aren’t you leaving?"
Su Changxing shook his head and said, "No, you go first, I’ll catch up later... I have so things to take care of."
The Black Crow Battle Group should be the elite force of the Wizard World, and their main forces are still on the frontline.
The presence of Black Crow Soldiers here ans they are on an important mission, possibly related to the main war effort.
······
"Are all those soldiers dead?"
Ge Yunhua looked utterly shocked. He hadn’t seen what happened, but he felt so commotion and saw several corpses falling from the sky.
Xu Kai nodded and said, "Yes, they were all killed by the teacher, but there will likely be more soldiers coming here, so it’d be best if we leave."
Subsequently, they made their way towards the outskirts of town. Having previously cleared the area, they did not encounter many obstacles and reached the wilderness.
This place is at the edge of the area governed by wizards, so no outposts were set up, and the only obstacle was the monsters in the black mist.
Most of these monsters aren’t very strong; a Tier Nine Extraordinary can handle them, but for ordinary people, they are insurmountable foes. Without firearms, they stand no chance.
A shirtless man with half of a tattoo exposed on his shoulder approached Xu Kai, carrying an old rifle, and said:
"You’re part of Guo Fengyan’s old troop, co with us."
Behind him were dozens of people also holding weapons. They were a group directly managing the settlent, originally a local gang.
"Go with you? To where?"
Xu Kai frowned slightly, scrutinizing the man.
The man chuckled and said, "Of course, to leave here. We can’t escape with everyone else, so we need to go ahead. You have decent combat power, so I’m inviting you to join us."
Xu Kai didn’t think much of it and said, "You’re planning to abandon everyone else? It hasn’t co to that point yet, has it?"
The man sneered with disdain and said, "You still have the mind to worry about others? Take care of yourself first. Once those soldiers catch up, none of us will survive."
He wasn’t aware of Su Changxing having killed those soldiers and was just following the original plan. Even without the arrival of the Black Armored Soldiers, they were ready to leave.
At that mont.
A roar echoed through the air.
"It’s those Corpse Ghosts!"
A woman with short curly hair shouted loudly.
They were aware that Corpse Ghosts lurked nearby, but this was the best evacuation route. They could only hope not to disturb them.
But things never go as planned; they still alerted the Corpse Ghosts.
Guo Fengyan had also tried to clear out these Corpse Ghosts before but was unsuccessful due to their numbers, and they suffered considerable losses.
A humanoid, emaciated monster charged toward them, its eyes hollow, and a white mist emanating from its gaping mouth.
A barrage of gunfire erupted.
Before it could get close, several bullets hit its body, knocking it to the ground, but it wasn’t dead. It struggled and quickly got back up.
"Don’t run, take them out."
The man with the tattoo shouted, knowing that scattering would diminish their already slim chances.
One, two, three Corpse Ghosts erged from the forest, rushing towards the crowd. Their movents were swift, their skin thick, and they knew only to attack without adaptation.
However, these humans weren’t without fighting spirit. Having survived until now, they couldn’t be weaklings.
People at the front raised their weapons and charged forward.
The number of Corpse Ghosts was far fewer than theirs, yet it resulted in a one-sided slaughter. Within minutes, dozens lay on the ground in an exceedingly bloody scene.
Xu Kai wielded a machete at the front, and with the enhancent he had received earlier, he unleashed enough power to stab straight through a Corpse Ghost with a single strike.
"Not as pathetic as I imagined. It seems that even ordinary people have gained significant strength."
Su Changxing squatted on a distant tree, quietly observing the scene, realizing that this world had already diverged greatly from his expectations unknowingly.
Being born in an extraordinary world naturally leads to extraordinary paths.
This is undoubtedly true.
They will eventually reach the extraordinary, it’s just a matter of ti.
He didn’t rush to intervene, but carefully observed the scene before him, as only in a desperate situation can one see soone’s potential.
Until the casualties increased again, Su Changxing appeared in front of the Corpse Ghosts, wielding a scythe. With several swift strikes, he cleaved each Corpse Ghost in half, leaving them on the ground emitting white mist.
The scene fell silent imdiately, and everyone looked at the suddenly appearing Su Changxing.
"Wow, I took my eyes off for a mont and so many of you died."
Su Changxing rested the scythe on his shoulder, appearing relaxed.
Xu Kai staggered over, his thigh skinned and bleeding, and said sowhat reproachfully, "Teacher, I should have let them wait a bit longer."
Su Changxing glanced at his injuries and said unhurriedly:
"You should worry about yourself. Humans are fragile beings, and a small wound could be fatal."
As he spoke, Xu Kai collapsed to the ground, feeling a tingling sensation in his leg, and upon closer inspection, he saw black lines running through his flesh.
"What’s happening to ?"
He asked, puzzled. Although his body was strong now, this injury didn’t seem too significant.
Su Changxing pointed at his leg and said, "Bingo! Corpse poison is deadly. Facing sothing like this, getting injured ans death."
Strange things often appear in the black mist, but with "True Knowledge," he could usually analyze their characteristics.
"So, what do we do now?"
"Wait for death!"
"But teacher, I don’t want to die yet."
Ignoring him, Su Changxing called to Ge Yunhua, "Bring all the wounded here, gather them."
At the sa ti, the tattooed man hurried to Su Changxing and said, "Thank you, sir, for saving us."
He wasn’t lightly injured either, but he hadn’t retreated a step.
"And you are?" Su Changxing asked.
The man squeezed out a slight smile and said, "Jie Chuan, I used to repair cars and was sort of the co-manager here."
