Su Changxing recalled the appearance of Monk Weihuo in his mind. When he first t him, he felt that his Buddha nature was very high—it was a compassionate Buddha nature.
This Buddha nature should also be the orthodox tradition of the Buddhist family.
"How can you surpass that!"
Su Changxing’s lips curled slightly, and he launched another punch at the priest. The skin on his arm glowed with a brilliant golden light, so dazzling it was almost blinding.
He could steal many things—not just abilities, but also movents, expressions, behavior patterns, and even Buddha nature.
He didn’t understand what Buddha nature was, but he could still imitate it by following a pattern, capturing a similar state of mind.
The card with the image of Monk Weihuo shattered in his hand, not to use Monk Weihuo’s ability, but to replicate his Buddha nature.
The two collided once more, but this ti Su Changxing remained immobile, while cracks appeared on the priest’s arm.
"Impossible!"
He widened his eyes, spat out fresh blood, and fell to the ground with a thud.
It was only then he noticed that his fist had caved in, bones shattering inch by inch as a terrifying hidden force penetrated his entire body.
In contrast, Su Changxing remained completely unscathed.
"How’s my Buddha nature? Is it much stronger than yours? Sorry, I exerted too much force and injured you."
Su Changxing smiled apologetically, the golden glow on his skin dimming but not disappearing, hiding within his flesh and blood.
Having replicated Monk Weihuo’s Buddha nature, his Vajra Body far surpassed that of the priest, and with concentration, he directly shattered him.
In the previous clashes, he hadn’t used "concentration" because such exertion was too much for his arms to withstand.
The priest, knowing he was no match, tapped his cane on the ground three tis. His body swelled again, his skin turning blood red, his two arms becoming six, with a ferocious visage, baring fangs.
"You forced to this, Vajra’s Angry Gaze, only killing, not saving!"
His eyes were blood-red, exuding an aura of terror, like a living Moto.
Su Changxing sensed the aura of the Blood Moon, filled with a bewildering taste.
The priest charged at him, causing the ground to quake, with the surrounding ruins collapsing.
Boom—
With a gunshot, the left half of the priest’s upper body exploded, shattering into countless pieces, and three massive arms fell to the ground.
He didn’t stop. His speed accelerated again, wielding the cane in one hand and swinging at Su Changxing, his injuries seeming to have no effect on him.
Another shot shattered his other three arms, the imnse impact bringing him to a halt.
The priest knelt on the ground, roaring in rage, seemingly both resentful and furious.
A few seconds later, he collapsed entirely, without a sound. That was his final desperate struggle.
Though the man was dead, he remained in that demonic form, or perhaps that was his true form, and everything else was a disguise.
The Doomsday Cultists who had been around earlier were either torn apart by Evil Spirits or had fled.
"Priest?"
Su Changxing walked over, picked up the black mask, and examined it carefully. The patterns on it were intricate, with so kind of energy flowing through the lines.
[Sacrificial Mask: Rank C Crown, Lower Rank, with the ability to communicate hidden secrets. Wearing it enables continuous enhancent of physical strength through Blood Energy to the limit.
This is a mask possessed only by the priests of the Doomsday Cult, and it is also a symbol of authority. Wearing this mask signifies one as a priest of the Doomsday Cult.]
"So this ans anyone can beco a Doomsday Cult priest, and a Doomsday Cult priest can be anyone."
Su Changxing pondered over the mask for a mont, then casually tossed it into the gap in the ruins, turning to walk away, his figure disappearing into the black mist.
After a while.
A Doomsday Cultist wearing a similar black mask arrived, looking around and finding no one else. Noticing the sacrificial mask amidst the ruins, she bent down to pick it up.
"I told you, you were courting death, but you didn’t believe it. Mortals challenging the brilliance of the sun and moon—ridiculous!"
She removed her mask, revealing a pretty face, though her lips were sowhat pale.
"Everyone knows you were killed by Su Changxing, so it’s only natural that I beco the priest. I’m sorry, I deceived you."
The woman curled her lips into a cold smile, like a snake flicking its tongue, lurking in the dark, its fangs dripping with poison.
She had promised the priest to attack from behind during their battle but, monts ago, had not acted and instead watched quietly from afar.
Then, she donned the sacrificial mask and ran toward the dense buildings, as escaping from this side was the only way out. Outside were all soldiers, and inside, the sheriff led people blocking the way.
She might collide with Su Changxing this way, but with a bit of luck, she might escape.
She was a lucky person, always had been.
As more people died, more Evil Spirits erged—a cyclical process of mutual destruction.
Not long after, Qian Runwei brought a large group to clean up, conducting a simple purge. Those caught in this area suspected of being Doomsday Cultists were dragged out and executed.
Many people died, more than imagined were hiding here.
So might not have actually been Doomsday Cultists.
But, does that even matter?
Just being here ans they are connected to the Doomsday Cult, so there’s no problem... Su Changxing told himself this, silently observing his surroundings, no longer intervening directly.
Having killed so many, his hands unknowingly felt heavy, and eventually, they grew numb.
He didn’t want to beco numb.
This operation was necessary, to demonstrate the determination of Team 17, to intimidate the Doomsday Cult, a warning to others.
Humans are complex, seeking freedom yet unable to truly be free, and the human heart is the sa.
On this day, many people died in He Kou County, perhaps a thousand, maybe two thousand—no one knew exactly how many.
Piles of people were dragged out and shot, a scene that instilled fear in countless others, causing so to collapse in fright, sitting on the ground until dragged back at night.
The ditches on the ground ran with blood, burning corpses spewing black smoke, making the air especially suffocating.
Su Changxing stood on a high building, watching the black smoke below, silent for a long ti, the events unfolding beyond his original expectations.
It was like a vine in the ground, pulling out one section revealed another, making one want to pull more, and the more one pulled, the more there was.
After Team 17’s entry into He Kou County, they eradicated the overt Doomsday Cultists, logically taking over the entire county.
Many were linked to the Doomsday Cult, leaving no choice but to kill so, punish so, and release so.
Gu Xingrong and others stood aside, not daring to make a sound, cautiously watching, fearing to catch the bad luck.
Xu Wenfeng looked pained, taking a deep breath and saying, "Leader, aren’t these thods too severe, especially when many people are already dead in this doomsday?"
He couldn’t understand why so many had to die; so seed unnecessarily so, with understandable reasons.
Su Changxing shook his head: "The Doomsday Cult is a poison node, connected to the next wave of doomsday."
"..." Xu Wenfeng bowed his head and said no more.
Su Changxing asked Gu Xingrong, "Where are your supervisors, they shouldn’t have any more trouble from the Doomsday Cult now, right?"
Gu Xingrong showed hesitation: "Well... I haven’t been able to contact the supervisors for now, but there should be news soon. Perhaps sothing delayed them."
