Otto walked closer and saw Yuan Shaohua’s corpse lying in the rubble, half-crushed by the force of the stones, dead on the spot.
The scene made his face serious, and he said slowly, "This person’s strength is very strong. If he is in the managent district, we must find him, or it’ll be very dangerous."
Another Law Enforcent Wizard suggested, "Why don’t we just kill them all? Kill them all, there’s no way anyone can hide."
Otto frowned slightly and said, "They still have another use, killing them is definitely not an option. Don’t say such foolish things."
They kept these people in the managent district not just out of rcy but because these people had other, more important roles.
The wizard turned to the soldier and questioned, "Did you see what the killer looked like? Or where he went?"
The soldier looked at the wizard with respect and said, "Sir, no one saw the killer, nor did anyone notice how the building was destroyed."
"The attacker hid very well. When they took action, we were nearby and didn’t detect anything unusual."
"However, there’s a corpse here, looks like it was assassinated; it’s also an indigenous person from the managent district."
Led by the soldier, Otto went to Liao Hua’s corpse, observed it, and shook his head saying:
"These were two separate assassinations. He ran out of the room already injured, was stabbed through the chest from the front, and the second stab pierced his heart."
"The killer wasn’t very strong and wasn’t skilled in combat; otherwise, two stabs wouldn’t have been necessary... Just a bug hiding and then jumping out."
Otto looked around nearby, found nothing special, and then prepared to leave. Today’s events made him very wary, ready to go inform his teacher.
They might need to halt the plan temporarily, clear the bugs in the city, and then plan further.
"Let’s go."
Otto was speaking when he saw a small fire spreading in the distance through the darkness, lighting up the sky.
Another explosion.
"Dare to co, notify everyone in the Law Enforcent Team to act as planned, we must capture them today."
A hint of a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, waiting for the other side to take the bait, but that person hadn’t appeared these past few days, leaving him feeling as if he punched a pillow.
But now that the opponent showed up, he had sothing to do.
Otto quickly left the managent district, heading towards the direction of the explosion, passing by the central tower next to the square.
Suddenly, the few wizards following him fell to the ground, unable to move.
A blue halo danced in the air, enveloping them, and the weeds on the ground withered at a visible speed.
A familiar feeling.
It’s him!
Otto’s eyes widened, and the image of that person suddenly appeared in his mind, dressed in a black coat, carrying a cane, with a defiant face.
People often have strong impressions of things that have startled them.
Bone hands stretched out from the soil, and a large number of skeletons crawled up from the surroundings, moving slowly and stiffly, with a decaying sll.
"It’s you, you didn’t die?"
Otto showed a look of disbelief, unable to understand everything before him, everyone would die, even the exalted Wizard King would fall.
He waved his hand, and tentacles shot towards those skeletons, shattering them, bones falling to the ground with a crisp sound.
These skeletons seed to have no combat power, even an ordinary person could swing a stick to smash them.
But Otto had fought with Chu Caiming, and he knew Chu Caiming’s abilities were far beyond this, once nearly killing him.
However, that was when he was careless, now his strength had progressed even further, presumably not a big issue.
The skeleton wearing a cloak stood in front of Otto, ghostly fire flickered in its empty eye sockets, as it was a skeleton, no expression could be discerned. It opened its mouth, uttering a deep and magnetic voice:
"Are you afraid? I ca back for revenge. You, a wizard from the Otherworld, will die here, and no wizard can escape here."
Otto’s face beca hideous, bursting into laughter, "I can kill you once, and I can kill you a second ti. You think you almost won against before, but there’s actually a long way to go."
"Wizards are existences you can’t imagine, I am the mountain you can never surpass."
More tentacles erged from the ground, the walls, the lampposts, spreading from all directions.
He knew Chu Caiming’s abilities could heavily restrain them wizards, but he didn’t feel afraid either.
He was the one who was going to beco the King of Wizards.
Every power has its limits, and today he was going to break through the opponent’s limits by force.
The scattered bones on the ground converged again into new skeletons, climbing up from the ground.
The dancing blue light in the air deepened in hue, becoming brighter, beautiful to the point of breathtaking, so quiet it made one captivated.
The skeleton in the cloak just stood quietly in place, watching those tentacles surging towards him, seemingly smiling, with a mocking smile.
The huge thick tentacles hadn’t gotten close yet, but quickly withered and shriveled.
Imdiately, the withering range rapidly expanded, yet the growth speed of those tentacles accelerated, with so even sprouting from his head and chest.
Otto was stiff in place, setting up a circle of Otherworldly space around him, yet still unable to prevent the corrosion.
This was destruction from within, like aging, like the passage of ti, he couldn’t stop it.
Why would anyone possess such power?
His vine-like face twisted increasingly, feeling like he wasn’t facing a low-level world’s native, but a Wizard King.
The opponent’s Power level was nowhere near the Wizard King, but the quality of their Power was terrifying.
In an instant.
A purple light shot from Otto’s hand, piercing through the skeleton’s chest, igniting the penetrated bones with purple flas.
He seized an opportune mont to use his trump card witchcraft, the Dark Light Dissociation Technique.
This was a terrifying witchcraft capable of instantaneously obliterating others; those struck by it stood no chance of survival.
This witchcraft inherited from the Wizard King, the "Eye of Death."
Defense is often the least effective tactic; killing the opponent is the best strategy.
Otto did not expect to hit the opponent so easily, his face showing ecstatic joy.
He had won; this pathetic skeleton seed to lack any dodging capability and lost in such a laughable way.
Indeed, wizards are the strongest.
The purple flas grew larger, yet Chu Caiming seed unaware, still silently staring at the opponent.
At this ti, Otto realized sothing was wrong; it wasn’t over, nothing had changed.
The erosion of that Power on him hadn’t stopped, and it was progressively increasing, getting stronger and on the verge of destruction.
This familiar feeling awakened his mories and the Terror hidden within his heart.
Otto realized and shouted, "This isn’t you, this is just an ordinary skeleton!"
It was at this mont he sensed Chu Caiming’s real location, watching him quietly from underground.
This was all just an illusion, there was no skeleton, no blue light, only death.
When he ca back to his senses, Otto was already lying on the ground, his body withered, eyes losing their luster.
He had lost, barely missing the mark, defeated by the Terror of death, which shook him and exposed his flaws.
Due to the explosion, most of the on-duty wizards gathered towards the direction of the explosion, leaving this side empty.
This situation seed irreparable.
Otto looked up at the sky, seeing a rain of fire: "Teacher, I still lost in the end, lost to soone who is already dead, how pathetic."
...
"What’s his personality like?" Su Changxing exhaled and asked.
Elba thought for a mont and explained in detail:
"Otto has an extrely competitive spirit, competing over anything and with anyone... He once insanely challenged a Great Wizard, almost getting himself killed."
"People say he’s not the strongest of his generation, but he has a high reputation because he keeps fighting despite nurous defeats, continuing until he can win."
"No one expected his strength could reach this level, touching the threshold of a Great Wizard."
