Under Lin Rui’s command, the Golden Pansy Army advanced at lightning speed, rushing towards the Dawn Fortress in marching formation.
The terrain of the Dragonbone Plain is relatively flat, making it difficult for ambushers to hide. The territorial army need not worry about ambushes, allowing them to advance at full speed.
Yet, unexpectedly, on this vast plain with no hiding spots for ambush, the clan army was forcefully ambushed.
Over a thousand Hell Bulls suddenly appeared out of nowhere on both sides of the formation, charging wildly at the human army in the marching lines.
Hanna’s casual state of mind instantly vanished. She withdrew her feet from Lin Rui and stood up, looking into the distance.
"Hell Bulls! Tier Five troop from the Underground City! No ti to switch formations."
With her words, the deafening sound of collision erupted.
Dozens of soldiers and knights were swiftly hit by the bulls, flying through the air. The human army was almost cut in half.
Lin Rui also stood on the War Machine, hand on the Lion Scorpion’s tail, watching the ambushers slowly erge from their invisible transparent state on all sides. Astonishingly, they were ambushed on the plain! And a perfect ambush, directly surrounded within an ambush circle.
The rapid collisions were incessant, the ground quaking.
But the performance of the Golden Pansy Army was enough to stun the enemy forces. The frenzied charge of the Hell Bulls seed to crash into an unyielding steel wall.
Aside from the middle, which was nearly cut in half, soldiers from other directions held off the bulls’ charge with heavy armor and long halberds, blocking the frenzied bulls before the steel defensive line.
The commander of the Underground City’s forces was a female Naga Priestess. Clearly, the performance of the Golden Pansy Clan army was beyond her expectations.
In previous battles, as long as her Shadow Blessing successfully ambushed the opponents, over a thousand Tier Five Elite Hell Bulls were enough to shatter the enemy’s formation with their charge, leading to a subsequent massacre.
But now, although the human army was nearly cut in half,
The remaining troops showed no sign of panic and began to form a defensive array on the spot.
Only now did she realize that the human army was unexpectedly tough!
Besides their violent impact, Hell Bulln themselves are Tier Five Elite troops.
Tier Five troops! Enough to beco a nightmare for most creatures. Brutal and frenzied, their gigantic two-handed battleaxes swung rcilessly, with wild attacks flying up and down, both forceful and fast. The massive axes could spin several tis each second, scattering rocks all over the ground.
Under such attacks, even hundreds of ordinary humans would be instantly torn to pieces.
But human soldiers used their long spears and huge shields to withstand the Tier Five Minotaurs’ repeated slashes, then countered with their long spears, piercing the exposed chests of the Hell Bulln.
Spear and axe clashed, blade sunk into flesh, blood sprayed, yet the ferocious battle continued.
More terrifyingly, those Heavy Knights already began to retaliate; not just one knight using a long halberd to pierce through the massive Minotaur entirely, crushing it to death on the ground.
This ambush had a perfect start yet took a completely different turn! The opponents were all lee Muscle Bullies, too tough to crack. If the slaughter went on, there was a risk of being pierced by the opponents.
Only in the center of the successful ambush, where Hell Bulln had nurical superiority, did three or four Minotaurs surround a human soldier with frenzied slashes, showing visible dominance in the battlefield.
The Naga Priestess’s hoarse voice spread across the battlefield: "Full force ahead, penetrate from the breach in the line, scatter the enemy, and encircle them one by one. Shadow Raiders, focus on surrounding and killing the enemy’s weak ranged forces."
As her voice rang, nearly ten thousand Gray Dwarves, Corrupt Blood Cold Lizard, Gargoyles, and Harpies surrounded from all sides.
Also, hundreds of Dark Elf Assassins erged around Hanna, ard with daggers, crossbows, attacking her.
There was no choice; she was dressed the coolest on the battlefield. Knights and Warriors were all in heavy armor, even the Mage Corps wore robes reducing 500 points of damage. Only she, aged yet nimble, was clad in an off-shoulder short dress revealing a pair of long legs, her fair skin mostly uncovered.
Regardless of the perspective, she was the most vulnerable in defense. Who else would the Assassins target if not her?
Furious, Hanna barehandedly flipped over the heads of more than a dozen Assassins: "Are you out of your minds? Why are you all coming to kill ? Now I can’t even tell whether the Warriors are the tanks or I am the tank? Why is everyone focusing fire on ?"
Lin Rui glanced at her, the whole area had her and the Mage Corps being relatively fragile, the rest were lee Muscle Bullies. In team battles, the three rules are: first, kill the fragile, then kill the ranged, finally kill the support.
She got them all... naturally making her more appealing to enemy fire than lee tanks.
Lin Rui might ignore Hanna’s frustration, but he needed to pay special attention to the Mage Corps surrounding her.
With a point of his right finger, over a dozen Mirror Images appeared around the Mage Corps, a Tier Four Epic hero’s Mirror Images, for a group of fragile Assassins, were a complete dinsional attack.
No need for Lin Rui to focus any extra attention; over a dozen Mirror Images charged all directions, disrupting the Assassins’ formation into chaos; they couldn’t even advance, and their frosty attacks erged from every conceivable angle.
Within a re ten seconds, hundreds of Assassins collapsed amidst a blur of blades and light sabers, while Mirror Images relentlessly continued their sharp offenses in all directions.
