A horde of Mammoths erged from the Eastern Teleportation Array. These thick-skinned behemoths withstood the Pea Shooters’ bullets the mont they appeared, marching forward. At least a third of the first wave survived the Pea Shooters’ volley.
A flock of Harpies erged from the Western Teleportation Array. The mont they were teleported, they spread their wings and took to the sky. While not many survived each wave, Lin Yu’s territory currently had no anti-air defenses. If their numbers grew, Lin Yu would be in serious trouble.
A horde of Beastn erged from the Southern Teleportation Array. As soon as they appeared, a defensive barrier materialized around them. They then charged at the surrounding Pea Shooters with wooden clubs. Roughly half of the first wave survived.
For now, the situation in the west seed the most manageable. However, as ti went on and the number of Harpies in the sky grew, it would beco increasingly difficult for Lin Yu to handle.
The situation in the south was the most dire and dangerous.
The situation in the east was sowhere in between. It could be left alone to resolve itself, but the Pea Shooters would suffer heavy losses.
Lin Yu’s mind raced. He quickly made a decision and imdiately began to adjust his deploynts.
First, Lin Yu withdrew all the beast packs from the north, where the Half-beastn were appearing, and sent them to support the other three fronts.
Next, he sent all the birds of prey, especially large carnivorous ones like eagles and vultures, to the west to intercept the Harpies, ensuring they were killed before they could take flight.
This was no simple task. The Harpies were extrely fast with high evasion. The view from the Lingxin Departnt showed them often displaying an incredible evasive ability, dodging all attacks for three seconds straight. This was clearly one of their innate racial skills.
Then, Lin Yu sent all his thick-skinned animals—wild boars, warthogs, cattle, and the like—to the south. There, they would act as at shields to block the Beastn’s advance, allowing the Pea Shooters in the rear to fire freely.
Finally, the remaining wolf packs, snakes, and other wild animals—including the level-10 elite beasts and the rat swarms—were dispatched to the east. Their mission was to eliminate the herd of Mammoths as quickly as possible, then move to support the other fronts.
After Lin Yu issued his commands, the beast packs within the territory imdiately began to move according to his plan.
Fortunately, the beasts in his territory were his subjects. He could issue commands through the Lingxin, and they would receive them instantly. Otherwise, things would have been much more troubleso.
After the redeploynt, the situation at the Northern Teleportation Array remained unchanged. The Half-beastn were wiped out the mont they erged, so there was no worry of any surprises.
At the Western Teleportation Array, with the help of the few Harpies who had luckily survived the initial waves, an increasing number of newly teleported Harpies managed to activate their evasion skills, dodge the incoming Pea Bullets, and ascend into the sky.
Furthermore, they began to gather and attack the nearby Pea Shooters, and the situation slowly began to deteriorate.
Just as another wave of Harpies teleported in, the hundred-odd Harpies already in the sky began to interfere with the Pea Shooters’ attacks, disrupting their coordinated volleys.
Just then, Lin Yu’s aerial forces arrived. Although they weren’t as agile or powerful as the Harpies, they had numbers on their side!
Besieged by the flock of birds, the Harpies in the sky were too busy defending themselves to continue interfering with the Pea Shooters’ volleys.
Although so Pea Shooters had been taken out, the fire from the remaining ones was still enough to saturate the area.
Most Harpies were killed the mont they stepped out of the Teleportation Array, before they even had ti to react. Only a few managed to activate their skills in a panic, dodging the Pea Bullets and flying into the sky, only to be t by the waiting flock of birds.
The battle between the bird flock and the Harpies was intense. The Harpies were incredibly fast; they quickly broke free from the flock’s siege, flew to a distance, and then turned to counterattack.
Their claws were so sharp that a single swipe could tear through an eagle’s body, forcing it to glide to the ground to recover.
Fortunately, the flock was massive. Counting all the birds from the 17.5-square-kiloter forest, plus those Lin Yu had randomly recruited from the Beast Nest, there were easily around ten thousand of them.
Therefore, despite the Harpies’ vicious attacks, the number of injured birds was but a drop in the ocean for the enormous flock.
Besides, even the best can falter. While attacking the flock, the Harpies inevitably suffered counterattacks and beca entangled.
Sustaining multiple injuries accelerated their stamina drain, and the aerial dogfights themselves were extrely exhausting.
As a result, every now and then, a Harpy would exhaust her stamina and plumt to the ground.
However, the entire land was Lin Yu’s territory. No matter where a Harpy fell, she could not escape the fate of being slain.
All in all, until the hero-level Harpies appeared, the situation in the west had stabilized.
Over at the Southern Teleportation Array, the wild boars, warthogs, and cattle were moving slowly. anwhile, the ferocious Beastn were on a rampage, on the verge of breaking through the saturated firing line Lin Yu had established. (The defensive line in that direction was only 200 ters deep, making it easy to breach.)
It was at this critical mont that the beast packs designated as at shields finally arrived.
The mont the two sides clashed, a fierce battle erupted.
The beast packs didn’t stop upon arrival; instead, they used their montum to charge directly into the Beastn.
While wild boars, warthogs, and cattle weren’t fast over long distances, their short-range sprinting speed was decent. Plus, they all had tusks, giving their charge incredible lethality.
To avoid the charge, the Beastn had to halt their advance and dodge to the sides, bringing their offensive to a standstill.
Of course, since their formation was so dense, so Beastn were inevitably sent flying by the charging horde.
The defensive barriers on the Beastn enhanced their Defense Power. Thus, even when struck by the charging beasts, they were rely injured and knocked to the ground. After a mont, they would get back up and continue to fight.
As the beast packs went on a rampage, disrupting the Beastn’s organized assault, the Beastn who dodged the charge didn’t stand idly by. They seized the opportunity to strike the animals with their wooden clubs as they rushed past.
Lin Yu watched this scene unfold nervously on the screen displayed by the Lingxin.
’If these Beastn have both high offense and defense, I’ll have to co up with another plan.’
The next scene lifted a great weight from Lin Yu’s shoulders.
A single club strike from a Beastman failed to break the hide of a charging beast.
The wild boars, warthogs, and cattle all had high Defense Power, and they were fast when charging. When the wooden clubs struck them, the blows would slide off to the side before they could land with any real force.
However, while their charge was powerful head-on, their attacks lacked precision. The charge looked impressive, but in reality, they barely injured any of the Beastn.
Most of the Beastn who died were killed by the surrounding Pea Shooters while they were busy dodging the charge.
Fortunately, the Beastn didn’t seem very bright. Compared to the quietly firing Pea Shooters, the rampaging beast pack drew much more of their attention. It was as if they regarded the Pea Bullets constantly pelting them as nothing more than raindrops, paying them no mind whatsoever.
