Kevin was resting on the bed in the lounge. Lin Ye left the lounge and headed toward the fourth-floor director's office.
The director had helped him during the previous activity, so he felt he should go express his thanks.
Reaching the fourth floor, Lin Ye knocked on the director's office door, but no sound ca from within.
"The director is away on business. He asked to tell you that thanks aren't necessary."
Dr. Amanda suddenly appeared behind Lin Ye.

After speaking, Dr. Amanda turned and walked away.
"Mia, are you there?"
Lin Ye asked the empty air.
He wanted to go to the special ward area to express thanks, but that place was dangerous, and he didn't want to go alone.
'Not here... I'll have to go next ti then.'
Lin Ye headed toward the third-floor library, planning to read for a while before returning.
However, what lay downstairs wasn't the living area he was familiar with, but rather the nurse station and circular corridor, with patient rooms lining both sides of the hallway.

"No need for thanks. It's been so long since I left this place—this was a good opportunity to get so fresh air."
The young girl spoke gently.
"You went over there? That must have been troubleso."
Lin Ye hadn't expected her to go to such lengths.
"No, the blessing is an extension of power—roughly like extending a finger."
The young girl explained with a smile.
"Is there anything you need to do?"
Lin Ye asked.
"Not for now. You're still too weak. When you beco stronger, perhaps we can discuss matters concerning this asylum."
The young girl took out a book and handed it to Lin Ye. A small table appeared beside the sickbed, bearing a pot of steaming hot black tea and so pastries.
"This is?"
Lin Ye accepted the book. The title read "Selected Collection of Millennium Empire Horror Stories."
"I've been reading this recently. Read it to . While cold drinks are nice, I prefer sothing warm while reading."
The young girl smiled as she personally poured Lin Ye a cup of black tea. This was the first ti Lin Ye had seen her get up and move about.
"Can I really read this book?"
Lin Ye didn't feel he was qualified to read the sa book as the young girl.
"If you drink the black tea, it should be fine... probably."
The young girl spoke sowhat uncertainly.
"...Can I not read it? Horror stories are a bit..."
Lin Ye quite enjoyed horror-related books and movies, but only as a reader, not as a character within the story.

The young girl spoke seriously.
"Do you have a solution?"
