Lin Ye and that eyeball stared at each other with three eyes. He didn't dodge, because he was certain the eyeball had already seen him.
The eyeball and Lin Ye locked gazes for a second, then moved across the shelf, disappearing from Lin Ye's field of vision.
Just as Lin Ye was about to push open the large door to teleport to another location, his body suddenly began to sink. An intense pain shot through both his lower legs, his balance failed, and he toppled towards the ground.
But that wasn't ground. It was a massive maw bristling with malford teeth.
Lin Ye's lower legs were already severed by those teeth.
The excruciating pain didn't cloud Lin Ye's judgnt. He forcefully pushed open the large door, then activated his Special Ability, rapidly sliding forward.
A torrent of blood sprayed onto the ground, leaving two bloody trails behind Lin Ye.
Bent over, Lin Ye slid swiftly between the shelves, using the sleeves of his prison garb to tightly bind his two stumps.
But even with the fastest possible first aid to staunch the bleeding, Lin Ye still experienced symptoms of blood loss—dizziness, racing heartbeat. He was on the verge of shock.
Soaked in blood, Lin Ye glanced back. That massive maw was already gone.
He hurriedly looked forward. The maw had appeared on the ground ahead, waiting for him to deliver himself into its trap.
Lin Ye used a nearby shelf to change his sliding direction. He couldn't stop now, because he no longer had feet.
