"Sorry, I probably shouldn't have dragged you along with ."

Even though thinking of the Sea brought Lin Ye to this place, he hadn't expected to drag Ayla here with him.

"Right? Who brings a friend along to seek death?"

A man in a formal suit appeared behind Lin Ye, a heartfelt smile spreading across his face as if greeting an old friend he hadn't seen in ages.

"You dare to make a move on now?"

Lin Ye turned to glance at the man. Unlike before, he was now terrifyingly powerful.

"I really can't attack you during the event, but I can clear out this entire sea and trap you here forever. Guess what happens when the event ends?"

The man leaned against the railing, staring at Lin Ye as if he were already dead.

"Oh, I wasn't talking about that. Honestly, I don't even know what this event is about. What I ant was, the Lord of Erald Capital recently invited to visit their garden. Are you sure you want to trap here?"

Lin Ye t the man's gaze with a challenging look.

"...So what? It's not like They can co find in the depths of the Red Sea... You can just stay here until the event ends. It won't affect your plans, but don't expect to get the event prize."

The man's expression stiffened as he left.

"Uh, your friend?"

Sensing the aura radiating from the man, Ayla hadn't dared to speak earlier.

"You could call him an old friend. I usually kill my enemies on the spot, but he's one I can't kill for now."

Lin Ye casually cast his fishhook into the Red Sea. There wasn't a single Red Sea creature in it, and he couldn't alienate the seawater into one either.

"Complicated relationship. Isn't this the Red Sea? And did you just say the Lord of Erald Capital invited you to Their garden?"

Ayla felt like Lin Ye was straying further and further down a strange path.

"Sigh, I didn't want this either. I guess that's just the helplessness of the adult world."

Lin Ye tore off the alienated flesh stuck to him, remnants from so fishing enthusiasts on the wooden raft earlier. He had alienated that part of the flesh onto himself for ergencies.

"Isn't that a bit much? I have so spare at chunks in my spatial item. You can use those, but tossing at into the basket is useless—I've tried before."

Ayla took out several sealed at chunks from her spatial item and handed them to Lin Ye.

"Oh, these are fresh fishing enthusiasts I stored earlier. Let see if I can use them to pass."

Lin Ye alienated the flesh into two small fish, but when he tossed them into the sea, they dissolved into the seawater like sugar.

"Idiot. Only things caught in the venue trigger teleportation. Tossing stuff into the sea doesn't count, and I won't let you take anything out of it either."

The man suddenly erged from the sea, sneering with contempt.

"Won't hurt to try. If you want it, take it. It's not like it's anything important anyway."

Lin Ye used the remaining spare fishing enthusiasts to create an octopus covered in countless tendrils. He placed the octopus on the railing, and it slowly crawled down the lighthouse, extending its tendrils into the seawater.

The man frowned at the octopus but made no further move.

Upon contact with the seawater, the octopus's body began to swell rapidly. Soon, it turned into a massive creature coiled around the entire lighthouse.

Each of its tendrils was half a ter thick, and its size continued to grow.

The man stared at the giant octopus with an extrely complicated expression, then vanished without a word.

The giant octopus quickly grabbed two bizarre-looking Red Sea creatures with its tendrils and tossed them onto the high platform. Curious, Lin Ye touched the octopus's tendrils. Their internal structure was incredibly complex, and he couldn't even grasp the purpose of so parts.

"It's huge. I feel like the lighthouse is sinking. Is that okay? Sothing feels off... Don't look up!"

Ayla kept her eyes on the ground. The power of the relic had been triggered, warning her not to look up. Unless used actively, the relic would only activate under extre danger.

Lin Ye felt a gaze upon him. Just sensing that heavy stare made his body nearly collapse.

The giant octopus let out a mournful cry, and its body instantly disintegrated. A small octopus shot out from within the massive corpse, swept the two Red Sea creatures into their baskets, and wrapped itself around Lin Ye.

This ti, the space teleportation didn't trigger imdiately. The surrounding space twisted and bent. It took about ten seconds before they were transported to another area.

"Phew, that was terrifying."

Ayla collapsed onto the ground. She had truly felt the brush with death just now.

"...What did you do?"

Lin Ye grabbed the octopus coiled around him and asked.

The octopus didn't answer, only squird slowly in his hand, completely lacking its previous speed.

"Forget it. If you guys want to cause trouble, go ahead, but at least warn first. After all, if sothing goes wrong, I can't escape either."

Lin Ye released the octopus and began surveying his surroundings.

A damp, cold sea breeze blew past. They stood on a white platform. Above, the sky was a pale blue, smooth as a mirror.

So fishing enthusiasts sat at the edge of the platform, looking extrely irritated. The atmosphere was entirely lacking any fishing spirit.

Since his ntal energy couldn't penetrate the platform, Lin Ye could only sense what was below. He realized they were on top of a white cube about fifty ters in diater. Thick tendrils held the cube aloft beneath it.

Those massive tendrils were covered in smaller tendrils. Whenever sothing bit the hook, the small tendrils would snatch whatever was caught and carry it away.

This sea wasn't limited to just one cube. In the distance, many more cubes were suspended in the air.

"Hey! Stop gawking and get over here to fish!"

A fishing enthusiast sitting at the edge of the cube shouted at them.

"What happens if you don't catch enough?"

Lin Ye walked over and sat down beside that fisherman.

Before the other could answer, a distant cube suddenly plumted from the sky and sank into the sea.

Soon after, the cube was lifted back up by the massive tendrils, but the fishern on it were gone.

"...Like that."

The fisherman beside him said nervously.

"Then I'd better hurry."

Lin Ye cast his hook downward and quickly hauled up a very fat fish.

The mont the fish left the water, a mass of tendrils wrapped around it. Lin Ye didn't intervene. After all, this was the tendrils' territory. If he acted recklessly, he could teleport away, but everyone else would be dood.

Besides, his stuff wasn't so easy to eat.
