Now reading: Chapter 195 - 195 116 Hint from Goblin Dependency, a Adventure novel by Floc theory.

195: Chapter 116: Hint 195: Chapter 116: Hint The stones moving couldn’t possibly be caused by the wind.

The dense presence of magic particles in the Mist Forest is shown by the grayish-white mist in the air, rather than extre natural disasters like hurricanes or rain of flas.

The overall environnt is quite stable, rarely experiencing such strong winds.

The best scenario is that ordinary animals living near the cave happened to pass by and were scared away by the commotion of the goblin battle inside, inadvertently setting off the traps.

A slightly worse case is that demons in the forest, attracted by the scent of blood from inside, ca near.

However, if that’s really the case, based on Adeline’s understanding, at least in the outskirts of the Mist Forest, it’s rare for any demon to suppress its craving for blood and have the patience to wait at the cave entrance for them to leave before launching an ambush.

As for the worst situation…

There’s only one left,

——human.

“Are you suggesting there might be soone ambushing outside?” Xia Nan frowned, turning to look at the empty cave entrance ahead.

“Not sure.” Adeline shook her head lightly, the sticky blood dripping from the tal single-handed hamr suspended at her waist, “But we can’t rule out the possibility.”

Regarding this, Xia Nan was in strong agreent.

After all, being in the dangerous wilderness away from humans, even if it turned out they were frightened for nothing, one cannot ignore any potential danger.

Being cautious is never a bad thing.

Beside him, Berg with his longbow focused his gaze on the distant entrance, slightly turning his body, nostrils flaring as if sensing the hidden information in the faint airflow coming from outside.

Abi’s reaction showed much more panic, befitting his status as a newbie adventurer.

The joy from the unexpected gains had been instantly dispelled, and the emotional fluctuations between great joy and sorrow even made him sensitive.

Eagerly and fearfully, he asked:

“What should we do, just rush out?”

To this, Adeline didn’t imdiately respond.

She carefully pondered, then slowly spoke after a mont’s thought:

“We’ve checked already, no other exits in the nest.”

“There’s only one way to get out.”

“Maybe we could wait inside for a while?” Berg tily suggested his idea, “Make those outside lose patience and expose themselves?”

“Too passive.”

As soon as the words fell, Adeline imdiately rejected him.

Apparently, she had already considered this plan in her mind.

“Not to ntion how long our supplies would last, the spreading scent of blood in the cave could potentially attract more difficult and dangerous demons.”

Berg’s suggestion was almost entirely placing their lives in the hands of other factors.

For most adventurers who wish to control their fate regardless of life and death, it’s an unacceptable plan.

In Adeline’s view.

If there really are hostile adventurers lying in ambush outside the cave, waiting to launch a surprise attack after they co out.

Summing up, there are basically two scenarios.

One, these adventurers don’t know their identity information, rely stumbled upon this nest during their adventure and heard their team’s battle with the goblins inside.

Thus, causing greed, wanting to seize the chance for so windfall.

Two, they have a clear purpose, specifically targeting them, adventurers coming specifically for them.

The forr is relatively manageable, both parties are unaware of each other’s details, with high uncertainty.

Could be just so greedy ordinary adventurers, finding them difficult to deal with, weighing pros and cons, might choose to retreat voluntarily.

But if it’s the latter, then it’s troubleso.

Being able to target their team and tail them all the way here.

For adventurers engaged in the sa line of work, clearly they have a thorough understanding of their strength.

Their side is in the open while enemies are in the dark, handling it is tough.

The only variance in the entire team probably lies with Xia Nan, who just joined.

Adeline glanced at Xia Nan beside her, who was holding his blade, with a vague expression, not knowing what she was thinking.

Her sturdy arms stretched, pulling over Abi who was looking worried in front, instructing:

“Regardless, since they didn’t choose to enter the cave directly, but wait outside in ambush, it implies these people aren’t absolutely sure they can easily take us down.”

“Abi, listen to my instructions later, as long as…”

If in the end it proves to be a false alarm, then at most it’s a waste of ti and energy.

For adventurers walking the wire, engaging in a battle of wits with the breeze for safety’s sake, no one would feel embarrassed for this.
