"Hunting Day" had already lasted over ten days, and the association hall was still as crowded as ever.
Except for the staircase leading to the second floor, which was sowhat quieter, adventurers could be seen rushing everywhere else.
So even hadn’t cleaned the bloodstains off their bodies, stomping with muddy feet, throwing blood-dripping bags of loot onto the counter, exchanging them for a stack of gold coins, hardly catching their breath before running back into the hall to accept the next mission.
As if delaying for just a second would an earning a few less gold coins.
Incredibly busy.
Even the White Sparrow Tavern, always filled with adventurers 24/7, had seen its business drop quite a bit in the past few days.
This allowed Xia Nan, who lived on the second floor of the tavern, to enjoy two long-overdue good nights of sleep.
Compared to those other adventurers in town, who seed to use the "Hunting Day" period to earn a year’s worth of drinking money.
The "Green Blood" team, usually considered diligent and only taking a day or two to rest in town between tasks, instead gave off a "leisurely" impression.
Adeline regarded green-skinned goblins as enemies, only taking goblin-related missions for years, extrely obsessive.
But after all these years, being able to survive and even make a bit of a na in town, proved she wasn’t so lunatic.
Even the most flexible string would break if constantly tightened.
Adventuring in the Mist Forest was extrely stressful, and resting after returning to town was necessary.
Otherwise, being in poor condition, even causing ntal illness, would drag the whole team into the abyss.
Berg had no complaints, acting like an old fox, following Adeline’s commands.
When there was a mission, he would be thoroughly prepared and follow the team out of town; if not, he would have a few drinks and sit in the tavern all day.
To a certain extent, staying with the "Green Blood" team despite his experience and skill level, indicated that he valued sothing other than gold coins.

Squatting in the corner of the hall, Abi flipped through his backpack, checking for anything missing, an uncontrollable heartache on his face.
"A set of outdoor sleeping bags, plus a few blankets, cost two whole gold coins!"
"Not even willing to give a fire stone, that boss probably can’t even see the opening of his wallet, like an Eye Demon!"
Becoming an adventurer, he earned in a short ti what used to take years to save in gold coins, but related expenses also exceeded his expectations.
Abi couldn’t even imagine when one day in the future, as recomnded by Captain Adeline, he would spend an extravagant fifty gold coins to buy a fingertip-sized healing potion.
What suffocating experience that would be.
"Even my great-grandfather from the ancestral grave would crawl out and scold for squandering,"
Abi muttered softly, a face full of resentnt.
Beside him, Berg laughed and patted his shoulder, as if he had long anticipated Abi’s reaction.
"It’s Hunting Day, it’s like this every year."
"During this period, everything in town is going up in price, if you don’t follow, it’s like losing money."
"It’s just these two months, once it’s over it’ll be fine."
Speaking of this, he deliberately lowered his voice and leaned in to hint:
"You know Kukunur, that famous grocery store owner."
