Dusk.

Mist Forest outskirts.

The campfire crackled with a comforting "pop," its warm glow illuminating the dim air around.

Thin cloth sleeping bags, cashre blankets, iron cups with reddish bottoms, and bubbling boiling water...

An ordinary small camp.

At first glance, it seed just like the hundreds of adventurer camps dotted sparsely throughout the vast forest, plunging into danger for gold during the "Hunting Day."

But if soone could linger a while longer in this seemingly ordinary camp, they would be amazed to discover:

The temperature in the camp was noticeably warr.

Even though it was already the "Falling Leaf Month," temperatures had significantly dropped, coupled with the unique environnt of Mist Forest, making the nights here particularly tough.

Adventurers with ordinary constitution, without hot water and fire to drive away the cold, could easily catch a chill and fall ill overnight.

Yet the space encompassed by the campfire here seed like another world, with temperature adjusted to the most comfortable range for the human body.

Even the mosquitoes that were usually attracted to fire and the most annoying and plentiful in the forest seed driven away by this glowing fla, nowhere to be seen.

If you observed more closely and had so magical proficiency, you might discover the fundantal reason for why this camp differed from the outside world.

—The mist was flowing.

Filling every corner of Mist Forest, those quietly drifting grey-white mist in the air, at this mont, flowed like streams, swirling around center campfire.

Like a vortex composed of mist, the magic particles in the air were shaped into a regular and complex form by an invisible force, stirring the physical rules of the surrounding areas.

"It’s much more convenient with a Mage in the team!"

The tall male Elf lazily leaned against the trunk, holding a crystal fruit with green skin, his expression contented.

"The season’s almost half a year past, yet being able to taste ’Ivlius’ special leaf fruit, probably only ."

He gently pinched the fruit with his fingertips, under the firelight, the thin peel seed nearly transparent, revealing the texture of the flesh within.

Casually tossing it into his mouth, without needing to chew, just gently pressing it against the roof of his mouth with his tongue, the refreshing sweet and sour juice and crisp flesh texture seed to bring him back to his holand.

"Hmm~~~"

The Elf with smooth golden hair couldn’t help but squint his eyes in comfort.

Not far from him, a refined man in a simple indigo robe, holding a book in his hands, smiled at the savoring Elf and then looked away.

Contrary to the other’s casual posture sitting on the ground leaning against the trunk, the Mage nad "Cornell" sat on a spacious lounge chair with fine goose down and exquisite workmanship.

Clearly, like the Elf’s already off-season green fruit in his belly, these were luxury items that shouldn’t be found here at this ti.

And the reason boiled down to just a few words:

The convenience of magic.

"It’s a pity that when we left ’Ivlius,’ we only had ti to buy two small bags."

"It makes pick only a few each day to taste, eating them doesn’t feel satisfying."

Saying this, the Elf couldn’t help but sit up, gazing towards the other side of the campfire, near the edge of the camp—

A red-haired warrior in heavy armor, with a stern and resolute expression.

Complaining:

"I told you there’s no need to rush. With Erald Forest’s environnt, that ’Alpha Cave Monster’ won’t escape far!"

"Even if we rested in the city for a few more days, it wouldn’t delay our progress much."

Facing the Elf’s grumbling, the red-haired man didn’t even lift his head, instead focusing on polishing the red-brown longsword which emitted a faint glow at night.

"Hey! Say sothing!"

The man’s silence instantly annoyed the Elf, making even the leaf fruit in his mouth lose its appeal.

Seeing this, Cornell on the lounge chair opened his mouth to advise:

"It’s not about being rushed. As I recall, at that ti, the Grasping Monster had been pursued by us for almost half a month, in a severely hungry state. If we didn’t hurry up to handle it, it might attack the Elven settlent near the Erald Forest."

"Let them worry about it..." The Elf, who was just trying to find a topic, didn’t have much bla intent, only discontent with the other’s silent attitude.

Cornell’s advice brought the Elf to a calm.
