Now reading: Chapter 441 - 228: [Lichemia’s Transformation Resistance Tec from Goblin Dependency, a Adventure novel by Floc theory.

One must realize, I haven’t yet removed the Beastification Curse from myself.

If I can find another solution from her, maybe I can save 500 Gold Coins that would otherwise be used to purchase a Remove Curse Scroll.

With this thought in mind, he carefully chose his words and tentatively asked Vier:

"I wonder... do you know any spells like ’Remove Curse’?"

"Remove Curse?" A hint of apology appeared on the young girl’s face. "I’m really sorry, Mr. Xia Nan, Third Ring Magic is indeed beyond my capabilities."

It seems the 500 Gold Coins won’t be saved.

Having prepared himself ntally for this, Xia Nan wasn’t too disappointed and decided not to waste more ti. After finishing this transaction, he planned to exchange the Magic Scroll with Moli.

"But... if possible, could you briefly introduce what type of curse needs to be removed?"

Vier leaned forward slightly, her eyes fixed on Xia Nan in front of her, and asked softly.

That cautious appearance, for fear of offending, was entirely unlike the deanor of a high-and-mighty spellcaster.

"Remove Curse, as a Third Ring Magic, is mainly geared towards the comprehensiveness of curse effects and its swift counter-spells in battle scenarios."

"Outside of combat, without the constraint of casting ti, if you can specify the type of curse you need to purify, there might be a better solution."

"After all, I previously ntioned to you." A confident smile appeared on Vier’s pale face, "I have quite a comprehensive mory of the Magic Table."

Beastification isn’t sothing secretive, nor is there any need to be concerned about sharing it.

Seeing a glimr of hope to save money, Xia Nan imdiately explained his current predicant to her.

"Great!" Vier’s face broke into a radiant smile. "If it’s just Beastification, I actually do have a targeted purification curse."

"Not much preparation is needed, and I just happen to have the casting materials with ."

"If you don’t mind, I can perform the spell for you right now."

She was reasonably considerate, as the adventurer association typically has an array for supervision, preventing adventurers from fighting each other.

If she’s willing to cast a spell here, it shows that the magic she’s about to perform bears no malice towards Xia Nan.

A twist in events that saved effort; Xia Nan nodded in agreent.

"It will be over soon, just sit and relax."

Then Vier stood up, her hand under the sleeve brushed the pouch at her waist.

A few strands of purple-blue vines and a small shard of bone fell into her palm.

Her slightly moist lips moved silently, and her amber eyes flashed a glint of Magic Radiance.

Buzz—

The deep chestnut ponytail leaped dynamically, bangs moved without wind, a faint glow of blue light flickered along the hair’s edge — a sign of Magic Particles highly condensed.

In her palm, the vine and bone fragnts seed to dissolve into the air like snowflakes, and the pale-blue magical micro-light erged in the air above the table.

Like tiny fireflies, propelled by spiritual thought, they moved to envelop Xia Nan.

Effect: Purifies the curse causing transformative traits in the body.

...

Following Vier’s instructions, Xia Nan sat still in the chair, his body as relaxed as possible.

He could sharply sense the sudden lively burst of magic particles in the room as she rose.

And as those pale-blue light motes landed on him, an inexplicable sensation of comfort surged in his heart.

It was like soaking in a hot spring, the indescribable warmth and comfort.

Except, now it’s not his body soaking in the warmth but his mind.

Roar—

Almost like a hallucination, an unwilling and ferocious beastly roar erupted in his heart.

The shadow of a black bear with dense mane silently appeared in the air behind Xia Nan, struggling wildly, yet unable to make a sound.

It seed as though an invisible force was extracting it from Xia Nan’s body, fading visibly under the magic glow.

Finally, it dissipated into the air as a wisp of substantial black smoke.

Simultaneously, Xia Nan felt a relief wash over him, as if an invisible burden had been lifted, allowing him to relax entirely.

He understood fully in his heart.

The Beastification Curse had been completely removed.

And he saved 500 Gold Coins!

"The purification is complete, Mr. Xia Nan."

Vier sat back down, her deanor unchanged, her face without sweat. Performing such level of magic seed effortless to her, even without a Magic Wand.

Even so, Xia Nan sincerely expressed his gratitude to her.

"It was a small effort, you’re too polite."

The girl replied with a smile.

It wasn’t modesty. Unlike the high cost of Magic Scrolls, for spellcasters, if they already know the spell, casting only consus a little spiritual power that can be restored with so ditation.

This is one reason why many spellcasters are so wealthy.

Compared to 500 Gold Coins for a Magic Scroll, a mage could charge even half, 250 Gold Coins per cast; many would be willing to pay when faced with potential curses or other dangerous ailnts.

And all it costs the spellcaster is a bit of ti and energy.

The transaction process went smoothly.

Vier exchanged 400 Gold Coins and one purification ritual for Xia Nan’s Purple Fir Magic Staff.

He had intended to inquire about so information, but Vier seed to be on a tight schedule.

After a brief exchange of pleasantries, she indicated her intention to leave.

"Lastly, I want to thank you again for willing to sell the Resonating Relic to , it’s very important for ."

Does she need to thank ?

Knowing full well the broken staff wasn’t worth that much, Xia Nan realized he got the better deal in this transaction.

He suddenly felt uneasy.

The Gold Coins were trivial; the main issue was that, even if she didn’t explicitly say it, he certainly owed Vier a favor.

A debt of favor, especially for soone like him, is the hardest to repay.

In his musings, Vier, who stood up from the table, seed to perceive his thoughts.

She paused and said with sincere expression:

"Mr. Xia Nan, the price of an item is determined by people. The Resonating Relic you have might not interest many in the market, but for , it’s crucial for my arcane magic learning progress."

"If I had more Gold Coins, I wouldn’t hesitate to pay 400, 500, or even 800."

"So please don’t worry too much. We might never et again, and I won’t use this to oblige you into doing anything."

"If nothing works..."

As she spoke, Vier’s lips curled into a smile, and she winked at Xia Nan.

"How about we be friends?"

Having said this much, Xia Nan was not soone who didn’t take a hint.

He nodded to her, smiling back, "Sure, let’s be friends."

...

"Bang."

The wooden door of the eting room closed softly.

Wearing a deep brown cloak, her beige robe swayed gently with her movents.

The slender girl continued her brisk pace as she descended the stairs and left the adventurer association.

Walking down the main street of River Valley Town, she was like an ordinary adventurer gathering supplies before a mission, weaving between various general stores.

All seed normal, but as she moved further away from the adventurer association, the number of adventurers and even pedestrians on the street dwindled steadily.

Not daring to use Magic recklessly to check behind her, she used skills learned from following senior adventurers to confirm no one was tailing her.

At an inconspicuous corner, Vier suddenly veered into a hidden alley nearby.

She relaxed all at once, leaning weakly against the wall.

The previously composed face now bore traces of fear, panting heavily, her pale cheeks glossed with a thin sheen of sweat.

At this mont, the shadows cast by the cramped brick walls on either side embraced her in a safety she’d never felt before.

"How could it be him?"

Sweat dripped from her delicately arched chin, soaking the fabric at her chest.

"Pan Yun Province... River Valley Town... Mist Forest... Xia Nan..."

"Damn it, I should have realized long ago!"
