Now reading: Chapter 600 - 302: Death Struggle and the Mire from Goblin Dependency, a Adventure novel by Floc theory.

The mingling mists, the yellow-green thick poisonous miasma lightly trembled amidst sharp, terrifying screeches, as black viscous sli splattered and flew in the imnse power erupting from deep within the swamp.

What was just a small, unnoticeable pile of squashed silt and dead branches has now transford into a nacing insect beast exuding an aura of death and malevolence.

This demon’s first impression is that of a twisted, unnatural grotesque hybrid.

Similar to a giant, deford deep-sea lobster, or perhaps a mutated underwater spider.

Its whole body is encased in a layer of hard, yellow-brown chitinous segnted shell, with a rough, matte texture, covered in fine scratches, etched patterns, and occasional tumor-like bulges, giving an unsettling cold and wet feeling, as if from the deep underground and a slickness.

Its head also possesses insect-like features, but with a noticeably darker color, as if forcibly welded from so other corpse, with a pair of black and white distinct dead cold eyes filled with chaos and fury, the mouthparts comprise several long, strong tentacles covered with mucus, intertwining as they twist, giving one goosebumps all over.

The most prominent feature are the large, asymtrical claws protruding from the sides of its front body.

These pincers are extrely developed, structurally similar to those of lobsters or scorpions, but with a grossly exaggerated proportion, appearing almost distorted from a distance.

As for its potential destructive power... the terrifying crisp sound echoing when the pincers snap close in mid-air alone suffices to demonstrate its might.

This peculiar demon resembling a lobster targets its attack at the squad’s rear.

Thus putting Margaret, who was initially trailing behind, in the closest position.

And because of this, she was the first to sense the dense stench and rot emanating from this demon.

Her brain rapidly spinning, trying to retrieve any relevant information from her mory to identify it, while devising corresponding strategies based on the visible physical features.

Yet before this, her muscle mory and survival instincts already had Margaret subconsciously maneuver her body, exerting force to leap sideways, narrowly avoiding the giant pincer crashing down towards her head.

Her wrist flicked, the longsword scraping against the monster’s carapace, producing a nerve-wrenching noise as dazzling sparks flashed briefly along the blade’s edge, leaving only a few faint white scratches on its surface.

Landing awkwardly.

The golden braid tied at the back of her head swayed, already sared with a few drops of thick muddy water.

Only at this mont did her brain finally complete the search, digging out information about the demon in front of her from the depths of her mory.

It’s...

"An Armored Monster!?"

This is certainly not a na that should appear in the Mist Forest.

In fact, even in the taverns frequented by adventurers, it is rarely ntioned.

On one hand, because its typical habitat usually lies in the Dark Territory or the distant deep sea.

It’s rarely seen elsewhere.

On the other hand, due to its exceedingly rare population and formidable individual strength.

Many tis, adventurers who encounter it don’t even have the chance to relay any information back, before perishing under its powerful claws that could crush rock and iron.

Margaret’s wheat-colored spirited face suddenly turned grim.

The Challenge Level of the Armored Monster is "4."

Implying that at least a team of four lv4 professionals with reasonable positioning would be required to defeat it without casualties under optimal conditions with adequate supplies.

As for the current "Oathkeeper Blackwood" squad, she, Soldin, and Shajin may et the criteria, but the mage Joshua’s Professional Level is only just lv1.

Perhaps due to the intrinsic special nature of spellcasters, possessing powerful functionality unattainable by general professionals, but amid such high-intensity combat, it undoubtedly becos the team’s weak link.

"Facke."

Margaret cursed under her breath, eyes locked onto the Armored Monster ahead, gripping the sword hilt so tightly her palms almost turned white.

"Razg (Dwarf Language, aning ’beast’), keep your eyes on !"

Contemplating within, a rough shout suddenly erupted from the other side.

Facing the enemy’s sudden attack, the frontline Dwarf Warrior Soldin didn’t hesitate, stepping forward.

Shouting wildly, he struck his right hand edged hamr against the iron shield held in his left arm.

"Bang..."

The shapeless sound wave stirred up visible ripples in the miasma.

As if containing so special power, causing the Armored Monster, who missed its attack and intended to pursue Margaret, to suddenly pause its body.

Then it turned around, emitting a sharp screech at the dwarf.

The hatred had shifted.

Roar!!!

The massive pincers encased in yellow-brown chitin fell suddenly, leaving a blank space in the air filled with yellow-green poisonous miasma.

No dodging, or rather, there was no possibility of dodging.

Soldin only managed to lift the iron shield to shield his head, the next second, the pincer slamd down.

His small body almost vanished instantly from the sight of those present, like a nail hamred into a wooden board, completely subrged into the swamp.

Soldin’s battle skill effect was extrely effective, even with his entire body smashed into the ground, leaving only a shield embedded like a nut at the swamp’s bottom, the Armored Monster still frenziedly slamd downwards.
