The crisp sound of the doorbell mixed with the wooden door’s hinge creak echoed through the street.

As a well-reputed grocery store in town, Kukunur offered him a fair price.
Seeing that the offer was within an acceptable range and having many other things to handle, Xia Nan didn’t haggle much and quickly completed the transaction.
"Next... I still need to make a trip to the Green Grass Cauldron to see if I can handle the materials from the Thorn Demon and Armored Monster."
It was noon, and the sumr sun was pouring its terrifying heat upon the earth.

And he still has room for improvent, possessing the Battle Skills of [Gravity Etching], [Gravity Control], and [Embers Resonance].
From a purely nurical standpoint, it seems he has enough to elevate [Fallen Blade Hunting] to Level 5, reaching the bottleneck for a job/transfer.
But in reality, Xia Nan knows himself.
Attempting to reach Level 5 by relying on these three Battle Skills alone... is nearly an impossible task.
Leaving [Gravity Etching] aside for now, take [Gravity Control] as an example. He’s had this Battle Skill for a few hundred days at least. How much Skill Level has he gained?

And that’s even the expected fastest raising speed, 15 points for Level 1.
This is even with him consistently training every day, even wanting to use gravity to stir his soup instead of a spoon when he eats it.
If he really were to place his hopes for leveling up on this Battle Skill, with his human lifespan, he probably wouldn’t see the day he advances to Level 5 in his lifeti.
[Embers Resonance] is progressing a bit faster, but also limited, slower than sothing like [Teeth Hunting].
Given this premise, to aim for more efficient progression, Xia Nan definitely needs to seek other types of Battle Skills to learn and train.
And herein lies the dilemma.
Which ones should he seek?
The path to learning Battle Skills is clear, directly exchanging them with points on the Association Second Floor. If none fit, he could even search and consult at other region’s adventurer associations.
However, the system for career advancent/transfer is inherently a relatively rigorous process that requires careful planning.
For those professionals from great families with deep backgrounds, when to learn which Battle Skill first, the future direction of transfer, even when they haven’t entered the Beginner stage of their first Battle Skill, already have professionals tailor detailed and ticulous plans for them.
In Xia Nan’s case, [Fallen Blade Hunting] is such a niche and obscure career path that perhaps no one else in the whole world could obtain it; there is no reference path for its progression or transfer direction.
When he ascended to the Association Second Floor, he attempted to find Battle Skill types related to "gravity," but was unsatisfactory.
Yet, if he were to learn those common, widely applicable, fast-progressing but clearly weaker Battle Skills, Xia Nan would be unwilling to sacrifice his future ceiling.
Thus, he awkwardly finds himself stuck.
[Embers Resonance] may seem completely unrelated to [Fallen Blade Hunting]...
But its intensity is high!
This ability, which can be called a second-stage state, even for a "Transcendent" or even "Legendary" level powerhouse other than Xia Nan, would be disrespecting the sacrifices they made along the way if they hesitate for even half a second when they have the opportunity to learn it.
Impossible not to learn it!
But this way, so-called career planning becos empty talk.
Scattered, different types of uncorrelated Battle Skills, no matter how high their own strength, if not systemized, without finding a progression path among this world’s millions of professions, remain rely empty talk with no potential for advancent.
Fortunately, Xia Nan possesses the Golden Finger of the attribute panel which, based on the experience when leveling to Level 1, if he really has the opportunity to accumulate five Level 5 Battle Skills in the future, might still offer him so assistance.
