The air remained cold in the deep night.
But the darkness and shadows from the depths of the night were completely dispelled by the strange light erupting from the church.
It was not the Holy Light.
That sweet and eerie pink glow, which at a glance left one in a daze, seemingly had nothing to do with the word "sacred."
Coupled with the gentle and rippling hymn that carried a touch of inexplicable strangeness.
"We praise you, Shang Tiya, Mother of Abundance, Nurturer of Life!"
The stained glass window occupying an entire wall was cast in a massive pink shade, becoming a bizarre background light, casting a glow on the altar, behind the statue of the goddess.
"Your fingers sweep across the earth, wheat waves turn to gold;"
"Your breath transforms into sumr wind, branches bear abundant fruit;"
"Your gaze like the rising sun, flowers bloom, granaries full!"
Amidst the pink light, the devout hymn lingered in the air.
The strange atmosphere inside the church and the surrounding pink glow seed not to affect its holiness at all.
The benevolent lady holding a rosebud in one hand and full grains in the other, as always, gazed down at the world with tranquillity and gentleness.
"In the na of Shang Tiya, our great and rciful mother, Creator of all things..."
"May the land be prosperous;"
"May life never cease."
The hymn seed to be reaching its end, the praising sound resonating in the air quietly heightened.
The elderly priest in a brown-green ceremonial robe knelt at the goddess’s feet, his body trembling slightly with emotions, causing the holy emblem at his waist to sway gently.
Behind him were more than twenty equally devout figures.
They might have been the town’s butchers, the farrs tilling the land, or the sheriffs safeguarding the town’s people.
But at this mont, they had only one identity:
——Followers of the Goddess.
"Damn it, what the hell!"
This was the first thing Dwarf Soldin said after pushing open the church door and witnessing the scene inside.
With much adventure experience and a lengthy career, he had traversed countless places, naturally visiting many Divine churches for various reasons.
Honestly, the Agriculture Goddess church in Sheep Horn Town was far from large, and in comparison, could even be called "small"; the scene of over twenty simultaneous worshippers appeared particularly shabby when compared to the grand churches of hundreds, thousands of people.

In such circumstances, when Soldin personally witnessed the "holy and solemn" scene shrouded in the sweet pink light before him, he felt an inexplicable sense of eeriness rise starkly within him, prompting him to raise his vigilance to the utmost.
"Watch out!"
The reminder from behind brought the dwarf back to his senses slightly.
With a sidelong glance, he saw the outstandingly capable dark-haired youth in the team seemingly gazing at sothing, his sight followed to see what the other was looking at.
The next second, his small body froze involuntarily.
The pink glow illuminating the air was overly bright, making him not notice at first.
Now, thanks to Xia Nan’s reminder, Soldin finally noticed the unnatural pink emanating from the followers’ bodies.
It was tiny clusters of pink crystalline particles, almost crawling over every inch of exposed skin outside the followers’ clothing.
The degree of influence was more severe than the previous blacksmith, even fingertips were covered in pink crystals.
And right in the center of their chests, bright and stunning pink light glimred beneath their clothing.

The cold wind from outside the church doors howled into the hall.
Air fell silent in an instant.
The elderly priest seed utterly oblivious, still devoutly praying to his goddess as before.
Yet the more than twenty crystalline figures behind him, simultaneously and rigidly twisted their bodies without any emotional fluctuations, fixing their chilling gazes on the three at the church entrance.
"Retreat!"
The sense of mortal danger erupted from within, prompting Margaret to make an imdiate decision, no longer caring about her volu, she shouted at the two beside her.
At the sa ti, with a burst of power at her feet, she sprung backward into the square like she was stepping on a spring.
Xia Nan reacted even faster than she did.
Almost the mont Margaret’s retreat call was out, a wolf’s howl followed swiftly.
With the phantom of a giant wolf enveloping him, the figure with pitch-black shattered hair disappeared in monts from the scene.

Thus, when Xia Nan and Margaret quickly retreated, bursting powerfully to already withdraw from the church, even pulling a little distance away, he was still standing in place.
However, unexpectedly, Soldin’s retreat to the square was faster than the two of them.
Because the next second, with a loud noise of a solid object collision, his solid body gleaming with tallic luster was blasted out from the church like a cannonball.
