Cain breathed a sigh of relief.

He had managed to slip away from the others to buy himself so alone ti.

On Gwendolyn, it was not peaceful in the slightest. However, with the noise dampening properties of the {Draconic Blast Furnace}, he didn't need to worry about all that.

After sending Haru and the others out, he proceeded to sit.

Staring at the dark maws of the golden dragon heads that would belch fire to purify and lt up the tals and stones he worked with, he beca a bit lost in thought.

'Despite killing all those {Black-mouth Crawlers}< I didn't go up a single level.'

He frowned.

This was a problem.

Killing Tier 1 beings now gave him a ager amount of experience points, almost negligible compared to what he would need to fill up the level bar.

The experience points he got from slaying the {Black-mouth Tyrant} was several tis more than what he got from killing the less significant Crawlers.

However, it was no where near enough to boost him to the next level.

He huffed,

"There's no easy thing in this world, I guess."

That ant that in order to level up properly, he would have to kill fellow Tier 2 beings. And not a small amount either.

He shrugged, 'Considering how easy it was to kill the Tyrant, it shouldn't be too hard, right? Right?!'

He sighed silently.

Becoming more powerful was rather stressful. The more strength he gained, the more he realized just how long and steep the road ahead was.

It was also filled with death and despair.

'Enough of that. Let's get this started.'

He shook his head. Then he called on Pudding.

Or rather, he tried to.

But for so reason, the beast could not leave the {Beastmaster's Subspace}.

'Of course it can't.'

He had forgotten for a mont just how huge Pudding could grow when left to her devices.

He activated {Spatial Jump}, teleporting to the shore.

Making sure no one was around, he summoned the terrifying, but odd cute gigantic worm.

Pudding promptly threw up a whole mountain of special magic stones and tals.

Cain gave it a smile then patted it on the side. He didn't return it to the {Beastmaster's Subspace}, leaving it to burrow through the earth as it pleased.

Transferring the goods back into his inventory, Cain waited a bit, then activated {Spatial Jump} again.

Once he was within the Forge, he set all the materials down and began going through them one by one.

'A few rare and special ones, but nothing too much. Mostly Normal tals and gems. More than enough to create them in bulk.'

Haru and the others had worked hard enough. They had produced a lot of items and equipnt. However, they were not long for storage, as most of them were used the mont they left the anvil.

And even then, because the materials used in their creation was not at the highest of standards, the durability was also not at the peak.

'Still, it is better to lose weapons than lives.'

That didn't an he couldn't improve on that.

Although Haru and the other craftsn were good, there level of proficiency didn't even co near to his.

With the {Echoes of Xicina}, his ability to better create equipnt and items increased even further.

Since it was best to let them gain enough levels so they would be ready to take the Second Trial at any ti, he had decided to let them off.

Normally, increasing his efficiency wouldn't be so easy.

After ascending to the Second Tier, his efficiency in controlling the tal elent had gone up exponentially.

His eyes flashed with a golden radiance as he began...

The chunks of unrefined tal began to vibrate before slowly lifting into the air.

The raw materials hovered in front of him, shimring under the forge's light as if eager to be transford. Cain exhaled slowly, bringing himself to a state of heightened focus.

This would be the first ti since he reached the Second Tier he would craft anything.

He was a bit excited.

With a simple thought, he guided the first piece of ore toward the maw of the {Draconic Blast Furnace}. The golden dragon heads roared to life, spewing concentrated flas that could reduce even the toughest tals to molten slag in monts.

The block of {Miremite Ore} glowed, shifting from dull gray to a vibrant orange. Cain flexed his fingers, and the tal responded. He didn't need tongs or tools.

The improved {Divine Essence of tallurgy} made them unnecessary.

With his enhanced senses, he could locate every lattice with a deviation, and every part with an impurity.

With it, he first withdrew the impurities before correcting the defects.

A sharp motion of his hand sent the impurities rising to the surface, burning away in the relentless heat.

His hands moved quickly as he continued adding more and more ore.

'Smooth. Faster than before,' he noted, pleased with his improved control.

One by one, he refined the materials, ensuring they reached their peak potential. Every bar of tal that erged was purer, stronger. The gemstones he had collected, so shimring with mana, others with rare properties, were set aside for inlays and enchantnts.

Cain paused, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow. It wasn't physical exertion that wore him down, but the ntal focus required to manipulate everything precisely.

Luckily, the strain wasn't too much at all. He could keep the process sustained for a long while if necessary.

'Ti to take it a step further.'

Usually, adding a small chunk of higher quality materials into ones with lower quality was effective in raising the potential and properties of the overall alloy.

He reached into his inventory and pulled out a small fragnt of {Amberhue Mithril}, a rare material he had acquired from Pudding a fair bit ago.

It was rather difficult to refine, so he hadn't made use of it yet.

However, the properties within the purified {Miremite Ore} had been enhanced thanks to the purification process, one of them including the strange affinity of the material to eat through other materials in the solid phase.

This property ant weapons made with this tal had increased defense penetration.

Adding the {Amberhue Mithril} to the {Miremite Ore}, the material wouldn't be as hard to work with anymore.

Slowly, he combined the unrefined tal to the refined bars of {Miremite}.

The dragon heads spat out another dousing of flas, bathing the mixture.

At first, the flas were not very efficient as he lump of {Amberhue Mithril} remained the sa even after a few seconds.

Cain furrowed his brows,

"Co on. Work with here."

Summoning a deluge of mana, he poured a trendous amount into the magic circle beneath his feet.

The change was imdiate.

The dragon heads let out loud screams as the flas they spat out tired into concentrated jet streams.

He began layering the purified {Miremite} over the tal.

The invasive property of the {Miremite} activated imdiately, coaxing the lup of tal, forcing it to yield.

Very quickly, it softened. A satisfied grin tugged at his lips.

Soon, the alloy was created.

He had all the materials he needed. Now, it was ti to forge.

Cain extended his hands, and the stream of molten alloy obeyed, separating into solid bars.

'That's about five hundred bars. Five hundred swords or three hundred spears.'

He let out a sigh.

Then he cracked his fingers.

Today, he would craft weapons unlike any before.

Stretching his arm out, a bar of the alloy, which he had decided to na {Ambermite Mithril}, floated into his open palm.

He placed it onto the anvil and struck down with the {Echoes of Xicina}.

Imdiately, his head was filled with echoes. So helpful, so sinister.

So bearing good will, so ominous...

He filtered out the trash and focused on what was useful.

He continued to hamr down.

The sword took shape quickly thanks to the {Echoes of Xicina}. However, that was not all he was doing.

He made use of the {Divine Essence of tallurgy}, slowly smoothing out the internal structure of the alloy, improving its physical properties.

'That's enough.'

Once the blade had taken shape, he brought out his magic brush as well as a beautiful ruby-like magic gem.

Dropping the hamr to the side, he used one hand to draw on the runes and magic circles while the magic gem was slowly inlaid with the other.

Very quickly, the blade was made.

***

{Stagrim Sword, Special}.

***

Cain nodded. This was good.

While it had not exceeded his expectations, especially with the quality of material, it had certainly t them.

Producing a lot of these, even the weaker and lower-leveled hunter's would see a significant boost in their overall battle power.

'The stats are good, the durability is very impressive, and the attached skill, {Grim Edge}, is incredible. And it was rather stress-free too. Making five hundred more will be a breeze!' Cain said to himself...

Unaware of the dark future he had set for himself!
