Fang Yi took a long, narrow bench and sat at the entrance of the small restaurant.
Beside Fang Yi was a cup with tea brewing, steam rising from it, though with the cold wind blowing, the tea would soon cool down, so there was a small kettle placed at the edge of the table.
At this mont, Fang Yi resembled a retiree enjoying tea and a newspaper leisurely—just missing the newspaper.
Sitting alone, Fang Yi was noticed by Pei Mingyuan who erged from the restaurant, seeing Fang Yi sitting there, Pei Mingyuan slightly shook his head. He truly couldn’t understand this suddenly appearing young man.
Moreover, Pei Mingyuan couldn’t fathom why this young man wanted to help him with the small restaurant across the street.
Even if Pei Mingyuan racked his brain, he couldn’t recall ever eting this person before, but if he hadn’t t him, how would he explain the assistance?
Just then, a chubby little guy approached, holding a toy, followed by Mrs. Wu.
Mrs. Wu imdiately noticed Fang Yi and laughed, calling out, "Niu Er, let’s not go, let’s stay here for a while."
Then Mrs. Wu ca over to Fang Yi, smiling broadly, and said, "Little Emperor, what are you doing here, have you eaten? If not, I’ll fix you so pork hock."
Before Fang Yi could respond, Pei Mingyuan chid in, "Fatty Wu, spare . Your pork hock is really unappetizing. After trying it once, I don’t want it again. Don’t subject others to it."
Mrs. Wu, hands on hips, glared and said, "Hey Pei, you eat and then badmouth—right! Okay, okay, in that case, don’t co to my mahjong parlor anymore."
Pei Mingyuan replied, "I’m not coming anyway, who cares to go."
Mrs. Wu said, "Your old man shouldn’t co too."
Pei Mingyuan’s mouth twitched: "Family should be spared." His old man, none other than Pei Xiaoman’s grandfather, loved going to Mrs. Wu’s place for cards, so Mrs. Wu held his weak spot.
"Family should be spared my foot. Co apologize properly, and nothing happens. If not, humph, the outco won’t be good." Mrs. Wu said smugly.
"Apologize? Dream on, I’m not coming, what can you do to ?" Pei Mingyuan retorted stubbornly.
Mrs. Wu felt angry, glaring; Pei Mingyuan wasn’t backing down, glaring too.
So the two engaged in a glaring contest, ignoring Fang Yi.
Fang Yi didn’t disturb them. Just then, he suddenly spotted a familiar figure.
At the street corner, a woman in an office lady outfit walked over, carrying a white shoulder bag, braving the cold wind, looking sowhat weary.
But she quickly regained energy.
Because,
Not only Fang Yi saw her, she saw Fang Yi.
Then she hurried over, bustling, finally standing next to Fang Yi.
"Girlie, you’re back, hungry? Dad will fix you food." Pei Mingyuan smiled, seeing his daughter return ho was his happiest mont.
"I’m not hungry!"
Pei Xiaoman pointed to Fang Yi sitting there, frowning, and said, "Why is he here?"
Pei Mingyuan looked puzzled: "You two know each other?"
Know each other?
Not even close!
Thinking of everything after returning from Moon City, Pei Xiaoman said irritably, "Don’t know him!"
