Chapter 637: Chapter 707, Anything Goes?
A woman with wavy hair stepped out, looking extrely charming in a dark green dress, which made her stand out oddly among the group of monsters.
However, those monsters were all extrely afraid of her, scattering to make way for her, Fang Yi made a small discovery, there were green scales on the woman’s neck, as if they were serpent scales.
The woman, hands clasped behind her back, had an expressionless face with hollow eyes.

More precisely, this woman seed to be of a much higher rank than those monsters.

The woman spat these three words out.
The next mont, the monsters that had stopped earlier charged at Fang Yi again.
Without a second thought, Fang Yi rushed forward with his Chopper in hand.

A towering figure was rushing this way, Fang Yi’s gaze darkened, seeing a rhinoceros charging straight at him.

Then he saw the rhinoceros stand up, revealing a human face that looked horrifyingly grotesque, as if it were a hybrid of a human and a rhinoceros.
“Ha ha, human, you won’t escape from here,” boasted the Rhino Man.
At this mont, Fang Yi’s expression was extrely amazing, his eyes wide and mouth agape, he had seen quite a lot, but had never encountered sothing like a Rhino Man or the woman covered in snake scales, which made him wonder if he had co to a world of human-beast hybrids.
But it had to be said, Fang Yi was in a dead end, he didn’t know what sort of human-beast monsters would co next, but…

Dawn was breaking.
When Fang Yi left the small mountain village, he was covered in many wounds, but they were only superficial.
He didn’t throw away the Chopper, as he didn’t bring Black Prison with him and found the Chopper easy to use, so he decided to keep it for the ti being.
He didn’t know how many monsters he had killed the night before, it was a bloodbath, fortunately, it hadn’t happened in a city, or it would have caused great commotion and public unrest.
Here in the remote forests, the small mountain village was isolated from the world, Fang Yi’s slaughter of so many monsters wouldn’t draw too much attention or panic for now.
Originally, those humanoid monsters didn’t seem like much in Fang Yi’s eyes, until the Snake Woman and Rhino Man appeared, Fang Yi really understood that those monsters were far from as ordinary as they seed.
How exactly did those monsters co to be, were they a combination of animal genes and humans?
This wasn’t a movie; to create so many monsters, substantial funding was necessary, and that amount of capital couldn’t co from just one consortium or family, it probably required a nation’s support.
But would the Xuan Cang higher-ups create these monsters?
If not the nation, then who else? Creating such monsters was tantamount to opposing the nation.
With that thought, Fang Yi’s scalp tingled, and he beca increasingly convinced that there was a huge secret behind these monsters, one that was too daunting to speculate about casually.
Fang Yi didn’t continue to ponder, partly because the matter was too complex, and partly because he couldn’t figure it out, so he decided it wasn’t worth wasting more thought on it.
After leaving the small mountain village, Fang Yi found a place to rest for a while. He lit a cigarette, then darted into the forest where he soon found a nest of bird eggs, which he ate raw.
In truth, Fang Yi didn’t want to eat them raw, but he was afraid that making a fire might draw attention.
Surviving in the wild wasn’t only Bear Grylls’ forte; Fang Yi could handle it just as well.
After filling his stomach, Fang Yi debated whether to return to camp or head for the Biological Research Institute and ultimately chose the latter.
It was on the road to the Biological Research Institute that Fang Yi found Cai Qin, and after following her, he t up with a few team mbers. However, Fang Yi frowned upon discovering that out of the four team mbers plus Locke Di, only two remained—Xiao Ya and Wu Tian.
“Where are the other three?” Fang Yi asked Cai Qin.
“Two are dead, and Uncle Luo is missing,” said Cai Qin, her expression clouded with gloom.
After so questioning, Fang Yi learned that after Cai Qin led them away, they had encountered monsters, though far fewer than Fang Yi had faced—just a few.
However, just as Fang Yi was breathing a sigh of relief and feeling thankful that Cai Qin was safe, he saw her complexion suddenly redden, and a mouthful of fresh blood spilled out, her body swaying unsteadily.
Fang Yi reached out to support her, imdiately checking her pulse, and his expression darkened: “You’re injured.”
Cai Qin said, “It’s nothing,” her voice weak.
“You’ve suffered a serious injury, and you call this nothing?” Fang Yi, taking her pulse, found her internal energy and blood extrely chaotic.
“I… I can hold on,” Cai Qin managed a smile. “You’re injured too.”

But Cai Qin tugged on Fang Yi’s sleeve and shook her head.

Facing the enemy or monsters, Fang Yi had never been so excited.
“Yes, anything,” Cai Qin said earnestly.
“Alright!”
Without hesitation, Fang Yi made his promise.
For a beauty’s sake, he’d risk it all, even if it ant dragging down an emperor from his horse!
