Chapter 647: Chapter 717: Mao Yanfeng Submits
At the stubbornness of Binnan, the handso man laughed lightly, “Whether it is or isn’t important, if you want to invite more people, I won’t be displeased. Instead, I will sincerely applaud you with both hands.”
Binnan mocked, “Would the Fang Family be that kind-hearted?”
The handso man said, “I think, sister-in-law, you are a bit stubborn and have too much prejudice against my Fang Family. But no matter, once you step through the doors of my Fang Family, you will gradually change your views.”
Binnan coldly said, “When did I ever say I wanted to marry into your Fang Family?”
The handso man said, “Really? So, the chief has spoken, and you, Binnan, dare not listen? But it doesn’t matter if you don’t listen. I think your father, Shen Hongyang, will definitely listen. The chief’s word is as heavy as nine tripods and cannot be altered.”
Binnan remained silent, as proud as an iceberg. She picked up the teacup in front of her and took a slight sip, but this was certainly not out of nervousness.
The tea house was quiet. An old man stood behind the handso man, silent and still, like a sculpture.
The handso man had a smile on his face, as gentle as a spring breeze, mild and placid, making it impossible for anyone to feel negatively towards him. Instead, the fondness for him was extrely strong.
His na was Fang Mu, a direct descendant of the Fang Family. It could be said that his status within the Fang Family was even higher than Fang Muye’s.
Fang Mu smiled. The tea had cooled. He snapped his fingers, and a waiter ca over to refill his cup with hot water. He was in no hurry, quietly waiting for sothing, as if waiting for Binnan to speak, or maybe waiting for soone.
The atmosphere here remained silent until it was broken by the arrival of Fang Yi.
Fang Yi sat down next to Binnan, directly across from Fang Mu. A waitress ca over, and Fang Yi ordered a cup of plain hot water. His gaze shifted, falling upon Fang Mu.
Their eyes t, full of rivalry.
“Fang Yi?”
“Indeed.”
“Hehe, I am Fang Mu. If we talk about our blood relation, we do have so. It wouldn’t be an overstatent to call each other brothers,” Fang Mu said.
Fang Yi lightly said, “But calling each other brothers would truly make feel nauseated.”
Fang Mu was obviously very calm. He did not get angry but laughed instead, “Is that so? It seems you have a deep prejudice against , and against the Fang Family as well.”
With a simple statent, he effectively labeled Fang Yi as an antagonist to the Fang Family.
The waitress brought a cup of plain hot water, which was just the right temperature. Fang Yi took a sip and said, “You seem to be much smarter than Fang Muye and the others.” And much more difficult to deal with, too.
“Hehe, if I were as easy to deal with as them, I wouldn’t be sitting here,” said Fang Mu calmly.
The old man behind Fang Mu took a step forward, coming closer to him.
Old Wang!
When Fang Yi had gone to find Fang Muye, it was this old man who protected Fang Muye. He wasn’t just an ordinary Heavenly Level master—Fang Yi later learnt from Fang Yuying that this Old Wang was nad Wang Shuo, a Guest Elder of the Fang Family.
Simply put, he was a top-level enforcer.
Wang Shuo stood behind Fang Mu, clearly ant to intimidate Fang Yi.
Fang Yi slightly squinted, confronting Fang Mu, “I heard soone from your Fang Family wants to marry her?”
Fang Mu said, “That’s right, she will soon beco our Fang Family’s daughter-in-law. Fang Yi, you needn’t waste your efforts. I admit you are a capable person, but your abilities are ultimately limited.”
Fang Yi laughed lightly, “I am quite eager to see what kind of storm I can stir up.”
Fang Mu, neither troubled nor angry, spoke evenly, “You’re right, I too want to see what kind of storm you can stir up.”
With that, Fang Mu stood up.
Wang Shuo followed Fang Mu as he left.
Everything was very calm, and it appeared to be just a simple conversation. But if it really ca down to it, Fang Mu had the upper hand even though it wasn’t obvious, but indeed, he had the upper hand.
Fang Yi stood up and sat opposite Binnan. He looked directly at her and said softly, “Why didn’t you tell in advance?”
Binnan replied, “I didn’t want to trouble you anymore.”
Fang Yi gave a cold laugh and said, “You are my woman. Don’t talk to about being a nuisance. I am very angry that you didn’t tell about this.”
Binnan said, “Don’t be too overbearing.”
Fang Yi responded, “I was born overbearing. Now, tell , what exactly is going on?”
Outside the window, the scenery was pleasant, and there was a slight lting in Binnan’s icy deanor.
The day after Fang Yi left, the Fang Family suddenly sent soone directly to the Shen family.
The visitor was an elderly mber of the Fang Family, who held a high position. Upon eting Shen Hongyang, he straightaway proposed marriage, not allowing Shen Hongyang to interject, and placed the wedding gifts in front of him.
Naturally, Shen Hongyang would not marry Binnan off, particularly not to the Fang Family. However, the elder stated sothing that completely devastated Shen Hongyang.
“The leader mandates the marriage, Shen Hongyang. Your daughter must marry whether she wants to or not. It’s not up to you.”
This declaration was aggressive and domineering, fully displaying the authority of the Fang Family.
Even the leader was ntioned, showcasing the power and depth of the Fang Family.
How many leaders are there in Moon City besides that one pri minister? A word from a leader could shake the whole of Moon City, let alone a marriage decreed by him personally. Who could possibly resist?
Opposing it would be akin to challenging the leader himself.
This not only pressured Shen Hongyang as if Mount Tai were bearing down on him but also placed imnse pressure on Binnan.
After hearing the whole story, Fang Yi was silent for a long ti. He lit a cigarette, looked at Binnan, and said, “I have made a decision.”
“What is it?” Binnan t his gaze.
“Even if it ans a bloody battle and heaps of bones, I will spare no effort,” Fang Yi said softly.
Though his words were soft, they were fierce in tone.
Binnan asked, “Is it worth it?”
Fang Yi smiled, a doting light in his eyes, “…It’s worth it.”
Leaving the teahouse, Fang Yi and Binnan went their separate ways.
Fang Yi watched as Binnan drove away, then he got into his black rcedes, pondered for a mont, and drove off.
Fang Yi arrived at the Dragon Team’s secret base in Moon City. Since he had been there before and had a special identity, Zhao Guosheng had granted him access, so Fang Yi could enter alone.
Fang Yi went straight to the cell holding Fang Heng and Fang Kong. Without letting them speak, he started beating them up with punches and kicks. Of course, he did not use his full strength to avoid killing them.
Soon, both were swollen and in pain, nearly crying. Being beaten was one thing, but being beaten without an explanation was truly miserable.
And Fang Yi did not offer them any reason; he simply wanted to vent his anger.
After leaving the cell, Fang Yi moved to another cell, finding Mao Yanfeng.
“Mao Yanfeng, I’ve given you plenty of ti to think. It’s ti for your answer,” Fang Yi said calmly.
Wang Tong and Mo Shu stood aside, not daring to provoke Fang Yi. They glanced covertly at Mao Yanfeng, who had been deliberating whether to follow Fang Yi for the past few days, and they did not know what their master would decide.
Mao Yanfeng paused for a mont, then looked at Fang Yi, stood straight, clenched his fists, and then slightly bowed his head, respectfully saying, “I, Mao Yanfeng, here make a solemn oath to follow my master. If I break this oath, may I die a terrible death.”
Seeing Mao Yanfeng submit, Fang Yi breathed a sigh of relief, finally having a Heavenly Level expert as his subordinate.
