Fang Yi squeezed the brakes and ca to a stop.
Then Fang Yi casually placed the old crossbar bicycle next to the flowerbed, leaving it unlocked, and walked inside.
This vintage bicycle was unwanted by anyone, even as a gift, so Fang Yi wasn’t worried about any clueless thief stealing it.
Fang Yi strode into the building and entered the elevator.
He pressed the floor button, and the elevator slowly ascended.
Ding!
The elevator stopped, and the doors opened.
It was around six in the evening, and so people hadn’t left work yet. The lights were still bright inside. Fang Yi, familiar with the place, arrived at the company’s entrance and noticed that the poster originally on the wall was gone, replaced by another one.
The original poster featured Fang Yi, created on a whim by Huo Xiaoxuan. Fang Yi didn’t mind the change and wasn’t sure if it was Zhou Peilan or Ding Miaoyan who wanted it swapped, but it certainly wouldn’t be Huo Xiaoxuan.
Fang Yi pressed the button beside the glass door, and as the door opened, he strode inside.
But just as Fang Yi stepped in, he was suddenly taken aback.
The reception area was colorful, piled high with a large bouquet of flowers—red roses, carnations, lilies... practically every type of flower was there. If Fang Yi wasn’t sure he was at the company, he might suspect it was a flower shop.
The receptionist was resting her face on her hand, bored, watching a drama on her phone, dozing off. When Fang Yi arrived, she didn’t notice him at all.
Fang Yi frowned but continued walking further inside.
Technically, the company had already finished its workday, and people left behind were off-duty. Fang Yi arrived to see everyone was busy, except the receptionist, who thought no one else would co, hence her boredom.
Fang Yi could understand this, but the flowers piled at reception annoyed him.
After all, this was his company; what was with all the flowers?
Fang Yi said nothing and headed towards Zhou Peilan’s office, planning to surprise her.
However, when Fang Yi reached Zhou Peilan’s office, he frowned again, seeing a guy sitting with a chair at the door, two suited assistants standing behind him.
He was a young man, seemingly no older than twenty, dressed in a brand-na suit, lounging with crossed legs, completely blocking Zhou Peilan’s office entrance.
Employees passing by ignored him, showing so trepidation towards the young man.
Just then, a female employee passed by in front of him, and Fang Yi stopped her.
The female employee was a bit startled but, recognizing Fang Yi, exclaid and said respectfully, "President Fang!"
"What’s the deal with this young man?" Fang Yi asked.
"Oh, it’s like this..."
The female employee explained to Fang Yi that a week ago, this young man suddenly appeared, making quite a scene, imdiately presenting a large bouquet of roses. Upon seeing Zhou Peilan, he approached her imdiately, then kneeled on one knee to confess and propose.
Of course, Zhou Peilan refused, explicitly stating she had a boyfriend.
But the young man was relentless. Following that, he sent flowers every day—not just roses, but various other flowers, aggressively pursuing Zhou Peilan.
