Now reading: Chapter 169: Three Way Battle [2] from God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World!, a Game novel by MidnightWolfe.

After the swamp fin lord was killed, the party lured out the rest of the monsters from the swamp and killed them mostly with ranged attacks.

When they were done, they quickly checked the ranking through their system.

...

[Inter-Guild Display Event Rankings]

1. Martial Palace – 4,900

2. Adventurer Guild – 4,800

3. Holy Church – 3,000

4. Olympus Guild – 3,000

...

"The heck, how did Martial Palace get to first place!" Alice exclaid, a shocked look on her face.

The others were just as stunned. They had expected changes in the rankings, but they didn’t expect such a massive jump.

Right at that mont, Gabriel scanned the ranking, his eyes flashing with realization.

"I think I know what happened while we were busy," he said, attracting the gazes of all those present. "Look closely, one of the guilds is missing."

At Gabriel’s words, they all swept their gazes through the ranking, finally realizing what had happened.

"The Martial Palace eliminated White Fla Guild," Scarlet said, her voice emotionless, as if she wasn’t shocked.

"Liang," Lilly mumbled, "it could only be him."

"Dang, how long were we gone again? That was really quick." BrawlerX bit his lips, both impressed and frightened.

anwhile, Gabriel logged into the forum, scrolled down a bit, and soon saw clips of the fighting.

After watching three tis, he logged out once more and then held Scarlet’s gaze. "We don’t have much ti, let’s look for the rewards and quickly leave here."

Scarlet nodded. Since the monsters were all killed, there was no need to waste ti here anymore.

So ti later, the group exited the dungeon, and when they did, every single one paused simultaneously in their steps. Several gasps echoed.

"Heavens, ambush! We were ambushed!"

"It’s the Holy Church and Olympus Guild!"

From behind, Gabriel looked around, finding the mbers of the Adventurer Guild strewn across the clearing. They were still alive, but their breathing was shallow.

Imdiately after Gabriel and the others appeared, both the viewing centres and studios back in the real world erupted into cheers.

"Sir Broken is finally here! Three of the major guilds in one place!" Doodle roared excitedly.

"The Holy Church personally took out the Adventurer Guild, and although Olympus only stood by, they’re no different from accomplices... are we going to see another berserk state of Broken Heavens?"

Noel’s words only fueled the excitent of the viewers.

Back inside the ga world, a thick murderous intent started to emit from Scarlet as she stepped forward.

It was the first ti most, including Gabriel, had seen her like this, and her pressure weighed down on both allies and foes like a mountain.

Naturally, powerful existences like Gabriel, Alofonso, Jack, and the Church’s summon were able to withstand this.

However, the sa couldn’t be said for the regular adventurers and players.

"I c-can b-barely stand. What sort of pressure is this?" a player from the Holy Church complained through gritted teeth.

Another groaned: "Fuck, must they be realistic with everything!"

Further behind, Jack and Aria were watching everything play out, a smirk tugging at the corner of Jack’s lips.

Earlier, before they clashed, Alofonso had said that they held a personal grudge against the Adventurer Guild and volunteered to take care of them.

Naturally, Olympus Guild stepped back. To Jack, this was no different from feeding the cattle before slaughtering it.

"Shall we then?" He smiled at Aria, tightening his grasp on his spear.

The beautiful lady nodded, and they proceeded to make their way to the front.

"I didn’t know the noble Olympus Guild would stoop so low as to gang up against our Adventurer Guild that isn’t even in the Big Five," Scarlet said mockingly, slowly retrieving her sword.

And after a pause, she added:

"I expected this from the Church, but not from the Olympus Guild."

When she said these words, Alofonso’s eyebrows twitched, and the knights of the Holy Church were greatly offended.

"Think whatever you want, Scarlet." Jack simply chuckled with a carefree look. "Are you going to make this easy or hard?"

"What do you an?" Sophie asked.

Jack gave a simple glance and said in a deep, cold voice, "Surrender your points."

Alofonso chuckled, a murderous aura slowly seeping out of his body. "It seems you forgot we’re still her—"

FWOOOSH!

Suddenly Scarlet swung her sword at the person closest to her. Jack’s eyes widened in shock as he quickly parried the attack with his spear.

CLANG!

Sparks exploded from their point of impact. Both Scarlet and Jack felt a tremble in their arms, their feet digging into the ground.

At the sa ti, Alofonso smirked, his eyes settling on Gabriel, who was standing behind, calmly observing everything.

"Last man standing it is then!" The Cardinal roared as he stomped the ground with a thunderous BANG and shot forward!

"So you’ve been the one causing trouble for the Church. This will be your death place!" He roared as he slashed forward.

Gabriel’s arms trembled and Crimson Judgent flashed.

BOOOM!!

Alofonso’s spear collided against Gabriel’s [Crimson Judgent], the impact shaking the entire clearing. Dust and light exploded outward, forcing weaker players to cover their faces.

’Strong.’ Gabriel thought. He was pushed several steps back. It was right at this mont he used his treasure on the High Cardinal.

[High Cardinal Alofonso]

[LV.120]

[HP: 60,000/60,000]

When he saw the High Cardinal’s insane level and monstrous health points, Gabriel was slightly taken aback.

If his calculations were right, the High Cardinal should have at least 600 base stats.

Alofonso was slightly taken aback as well, not expecting Gabriel to easily tank his attack.

"You’re strong, boy. It’s such a sha you made the Church your enemy!" Alofonso’s voice echoed like thunder as another wave of murderous aura burst out.

’This guy... he’s far beyond the swamp fin lord or any enemies I have faced until now. If I’m careless... I might find myself in a very troubleso position.’ he thought, distancing himself.

However, right then, his head stood on end as he felt a presence behind him and his scalp tingled.

"Hahahahahah, fool, it was so easy to distract you!" Alofonso’s boisterous laughter echoed across the clearing.

---

"Ladies and gentlen! We are witnessing history!" Doodle announced. "Scarlet, Vice-Leader of the Adventurer Guild, has engaged Jack Arefield, the golden spear of Olympus Guild! Their clash alone is worth a hundred battles!"

Noel’s calr voice slid in. "And on the other side, we have the MVP of this event, Sir Broken, versus the High Cardinal of the Holy Church!"

"This fight right here will determine the winner of this event!!"

---

On another part of the battle, Scarlet and Jack’s clash grew fiercer. Jack’s spear radiated a golden glow, locking against Scarlet’s sword that pulsed with silvery radiance.

Gold and silver clashed repeatedly, but to onlookers and viewers at ho, the only thing they could see were flashes of gold and silver.

The scene was chilling and yet striking at the sa ti.

"You have improved since the last ti we sparred," Jack suddenly said, parrying a slash with his golden spear and then following up with a thrust of his own.

Swoosh!

Scarlet appeared to have read him perfectly.

At the nick of ti, she twisted her blade and knocked aside her opponent’s thrust. The ground behind her cracked as she stomped, chunks of earth flying high into the air.

The Vice Leader appeared right above Jack and swung down fiercely with intent to kill.

Seeing the sword slamming down at him, he was forced to activate a movent-type skill to get away, causing Scarlet to cut nothing but air.

’She has clearly improved since the academy days.’ Jack thought, eyes narrowed. ’I need to take this fight more seriously.’

As he thought of this, he slowly rose into the air, his trusty spear humming in his grasp, and without hesitation, he launched it forward.

Boom!

As soon as the spear left his hand, a sound similar to thunder echoed through the wilderness.

BOOOOM!!!

Scarlet’s eyes sharpened as the golden spear shot forward like a divine bolt of lightning. She twisted her body at the very last mont, narrowly dodging the deadly thrust.

KRAAACK!!

The spear struck the ground instead.

The earth detonated.

A massive explosion occurred, chunks of stone and dirt flying everywhere. A group of unlucky players belonging to the Holy Church were caught within the blast, shattering instantly into data fragnts.

"Slippery," Jack muttered, not angry that Scarlet had easily dodged his attack.

anwhile—

Aria finally moved. The jewellery on her body began to glow, emitting cold, glittering light.

The light completely engulfed the battlefield.

"What... what is this?!" a player from the Holy Church scread, his hands clutching his eyes.

One after another, weaker adventurers and players dropped to their knees, crying out in panic.

"Ahhh! My vision!"

"I—I can’t see anything!"

"Dammit, even my system interface is blurry!"

"What the fuck did that witch do?!"

The viewing centres in the Valerian Kingdom exploded with noise as spectators stood on their feet, wondering just what was happening out there in the wilderness.

One mont everything seed perfectly fine, and the next mont the adventurers were grovelling while clutching their eyes.

"I... I think they’re blind... what kind of powerful skill is that... in fact, who is that girl?" Damian, watching from the stands, was at a loss for words.
