Sophie’s heart skipped a beat as Gabriel and Scarlet dashed straight into the swarm of golems like madn.

There wasn’t even an iota of fear on their faces. If anything, Sophie could see a faint trace of excitent in Gabriel’s blue eyes.

"T-they’re both insane!" she muttered beneath her breath as three seeds materialized on her palm.

’Unlike them, I can’t get close. I need to be in good range to be useful,’ she thought. Her erald eyes flashed sharply behind her veil as she hurled both seeds into the ground.

The seeds quickly transford into devouring vines and hungrily attacked the rocky golems.

Sweat glistened on Sophie’s face as she directed the vines to target enemies. Without her control, everything would go haywire, and the vines would attack anything in sight.

Cassie, who stood beside her, wore a deep frown.

Sophie had earlier told her not to use any powerful skills with long cooldowns or high mana consumption.

She was only to use those when things got extrely serious.

"I can at least do this," Sophie muttered, chanting in a low voice.

"Minor Moral Boost!"

As the na suggested, Minor Moral Boost was a skill that raised the morale of all allies within a 20-kiloter radius.

The adventurers suddenly felt a calm presence envelop them, and adrenaline surged through their veins.

"Die, stupid rock!" Liam roared, slamming his hamr violently into one of the golems. It exploded into millions of fragnts on impact.

He didn’t even wait for a kill notification before charging at another one and destroying it with a single hit.

Out of curiosity, he glanced at soone from the corner of his eye—and his expression darkened.

That person wasn’t struggling. On the contrary, it was the golem trying to get away from him.

As the first golem swung its heavy stone arm at Gabriel, ti seed to slow for everyone watching—but not for him.

With a calm expression and blazing eyes, he stepped into the attack rather than away from it, Crimson Judgent flashing like a streak of red light.

Swoosh!

The golem was cut cleanly into two separate halves. Another one lunged at him, firing a highly concentrated lazer beam.

"Hmph!" Gabriel deflected the beam with his greatsword. Stomping the ground, he shot forward like a shadow.

His blade sliced through the golem’s lower abdon, and it collapsed to the floor.

The remaining ones seed to recognize him as the greatest threat present—two charged at him simultaneously.

They’re only intimidating in appearance. These things are very slow, he thought as he threw his greatsword. It cut through the air and found its mark—lodging itself in the skull of one golem.

The other ca at him, its rocky fist blurring forward.

BANG!

Its attack t sothing even more solid. Its red eyes flickered with surprise as it looked over and saw that the human had effortlessly caught its arm—without even being pushed back.

As if that wasn’t shocking enough, it suddenly felt a pull. Then, in front of everyone present, a sickening crack echoed as its arm was dislocated from its body.

"Die!" Gabriel roared, a cold, ruthless gleam in his eyes, slamming his other fist into the golem’s stomach and carving a hole the size of his fist.

Liam quickly turned away, his entire being trembling in shock.

He wasn’t the only one. Everyone had witnessed it.

A collective gasp filled the air.

"Monster..."

"Such savage fighting style..."

"Reminds never to get on his bad side again."

anwhile, farther ahead, Scarlet moved like a force of nature. Even without activating any movent-enhancing skills, she danced through the horde with practiced ease, her slim, long blade slicing through the ranks of golems.

She was fast, graceful, and killed in such a way that they didn’t even feel pain—if they were capable of it.

About twenty golems charged at her from the front, recognizing her as an even greater threat than the red-haired berserker.

With a calm expression, the vice leader drew one foot back and held her sword in a reverse grip. She slashed down furiously, shouting:

"Silver Moon Slash!"

A giant silver arc of light appeared in the air and shot toward the approaching golems.

When it made contact, all of them were sliced at the torso—their upper halves toppling like toppled statues.

One was brutal, savage, and fought more like a beast.

The other was elegant, refined, and killed with such grace that her enemies might have died smiling.

"We might just do it!" Alice mumbled to herself as she activated her skill [Blink], which allowed her to teleport within short ranges.

The dual-dagger assassin flickered across the battlefield, appearing and disappearing while striking golems when they least expected it.

Gradually, as the battle continued, the number of enemies dwindled. Scarlet activated her strikes again and cut down ten more golems. The rest were swiftly dealt with by Gabriel, Alice, Sophie, Liam, Old Man Khro, and the others, which included two male mages.

As for Lilly, being a healer, she didn’t participate in the fight. Sa went for Cassie.

"Phew... that wasn’t so hard," Alice dropped to her knees, panting heavily as if she’d just run a marathon.

The others were just as exhausted, their bodies drenched in sweat. Only Gabriel, Scarlet, Sophie, and Cassie appeared to still be in good condition.

Lilly , the healer quickly got to work, chanting spells to rejuvenate their companions.

"Was that the last of them?" soone asked after a while.

Thanks to the healers’ spells, the adventurers looked more radiant now—though it was clear they still needed rest.

"Usually, ruins like this have conditions we must fulfill to unlock the door," Scarlet said as she waved her arms. All the monster cores from the slain enemies floated toward her before vanishing into thin air.

Telekinesis, Gabriel noted, his eyes flashing. That’s a very useful skill for lazy people... but in Scarlet’s hands, it’s sothing else entirely.

"Let’s wait a little. If nothing happens, then we proceed."

And so, the group camped outside the ruin for the rest of the night, taking turns keeping watch.

Nothing eventful happened—no monsters erged from the ruins or approached from the city behind them.

By the next morning, everyone had gathered again, their expressions brighter than before.

It was ti to unlock the gateway into the ruins.
