God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World! Chapter 402: Facing the Main Force [3]
The battlefield was still subrged in shock. No one dared to make another move, only watching Gabriel as if he were so kind of rare species.
Seraphina smirked faintly beside him, though only he could see it. "You really are annoying," she said, but the amusent in her eyes was mixed with genuine respect.
’It was all thanks to my indestructible body talent,’ Gabriel replied, a proud smile on his face. If it had been left to Iron Skin alone, he would have suffered severe damage. Even though he could tank so attacks, he was not completely immortal. But with the added boost from Indestructible, his overall durability was close to that of an immortal body.
Gabriel eventually shifted his gaze from Seraphina to the enemies, who imdiately flinched under his predatory stare.
"Was that supposed to scare ?" he asked loudly, making sure every enemy heard him. He touched the blood on his forehead with two fingers, then flicked it away casually. "You aid at my head. Good. That ans you understand what kind of threat I am. Now listen carefully. You have one last chance. Submit, or advance and beco part of the pile."
One might question why he was trying to convince them. Why not simply destroy everyone in his path? The reason he did not do that was because a part of him wanted the forces of the eastern camp to beco his. That would not only boost the overall strength of the Broken Dawn faction but also reduce future resistance and casualties.
Unfortunately, things did not go as planned.
Hearing his words, the enemy commanders fully panicked. Not in the way weak n panicked, but in the way people panicked when they realized they were facing sothing they could not control.
The armored war tanks began to roll forward, their engines roaring louder as they moved in formation. Troops equipped with heavier weapons took their positions.
Gabriel watched it all with calm eyes. Behind him, Broken Dawn’s montum did not slow. Scarlet engaged the mage once again, her sword flashing as she forced him into a defensive scramble. The mage raised his staff, trying to cast sothing powerful, but her blade slamd into the shaft and knocked it sideways.
Shing!
He stumbled, nearly losing his grip, his face twisted with humiliation and panic. He tried to retreat again, but she stepped forward and cut across his chest, drawing blood and forcing him to hiss. He was overwheld, and the more frantic he beca, the more mistakes he made.
Sophie clenched her teeth and pulled more mana, forcing her vines to spread wider and form a natural wall to protect the fighters from the advancing armored line. Thick vines wrapped around wheels and axles, trying to slow the vehicles, but the enemy had learned. So soldiers fired directly at the vines, while others used fire skills to burn paths through them.
The sll of burning plant matter mixed with blood and fuel, and the battlefield grew uglier with every passing second.
Gabriel took one step forward, then another, moving toward the advancing armored teams as if he were walking into a eting rather than a battle.
"Aren’t you using your sword?" Seraphina asked, confused.
He did not reply imdiately. Instead, he clenched his fists and smashed them together. "I’m a berserker. I’m not restricted to only a sword. I can fight with literally anything. Besides, I’m saving that to give the enemy a huge surprise."
He paused as his guard robe barrier slowly enveloped him. From the muzzles of countless rifles, mana bullets erupted.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
This ti, it was not just snipers. It was general fire. Shots struck his barrier and bounced off. So pierced through it, drawing blood, but the resistance and durability he carried made it clear that killing him with bullets alone would not happen quickly enough.
A hero rank presence stirred deeper within the enemy formation, and Gabriel felt it like pressure pressing against his skin. More hero ranks were moving now. They were no longer content to observe.
His earlier speech, the failed sniper attack, and the tank’s death had forced their hand. They could no longer pretend the enemy leader was not soone worth losing sleep over. This battle could now decide the future balance of power.
His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked into the distance and saw silhouettes moving between vehicles, stronger auras standing out through the ranks like wolves among sheep.
"I don’t rember much from my past life, but this feeling, it feels like I’ve seen this pattern before," Seraphina said.
"Yes. I’ve seen it myself," he replied with a slight frown. "They want to drown us with their superior numbers while their hero ranks target ."
"That... how many hero ranks can you take at once?" she asked, concern in her voice. "I would have helped you, but my mana reserves are extrely low. I need a bit more rest to refill them."
"Well, you’ll never know until you try," he shrugged as he stretched his hand out. A greatsword appeared in his grip.
"Finally decided to use it, huh?" she smirked, teasing him despite the raging battle in the background. "I thought soone wanted to use his bare fists."
Gabriel’s expression grew serious. "I can’t afford to take chances against hero ranks, especially if there are many."
He adjusted his grip on the greatsword and spoke softly, not loud enough for the battlefield to hear, but enough for her. "I’m going to force them to focus on ."
She rolled her eyes as if irritated, but drifted closer anyway. To her, it was entertainnt. To him, it was control.
He raised his sword and pointed it toward the advancing armored line, his voice booming once more so that both sides heard clearly. "Broken Dawn, hold your line and keep pushing. Ignore the noise. Ignore their machines. If they step forward, cut them down. If they run, do not chase too far. Let them bleed where they stand."
The one thousand fighters roared in response. This ti, their roar was not fueled by adrenaline alone. They had seen their leader survive an execution attempt. For NPCs, it felt like divine protection. For players, it felt like a hidden boss fighting on their side. Either way, morale surged again, and morale was a weapon stronger than steel when used correctly.
The enemy armored line rolled closer, and the next wave was about to crash fully onto the battlefield. Scarlet had finally defeated the hero rank mage, who now lay at her feet in his own pool of blood, gasping for breath.
She did not waste ti and imdiately began walking toward the approaching enemy force.
anwhile, Gabriel advanced with his sword in hand, cold eyes fixed on the army ahead. When he drew closer, he stopped and raised his greatsword.
"Let’s see how powerful a Platinum rank sword really is."
