God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World! Chapter 468: Serpaphina’s Sacrifice
Gabriel stepped forward and finally knelt beside Dominic’s corpse. Unlike the previous extractions, he did not imdiately place his hand on the body. Instead he studied the corpse quietly for a few seconds.
After a mont he finally placed his palm over Dominic’s chest.
The system responded instantly.
A faint screen appeared before him.
[Do you wish to extract the level 102 corpse? Cost: 70 EP]
"...Yes."
The mont he confird, the screen shifted and three separate options appeared in front of him.
Gabriel’s eyes narrowed slightly as he read them.
[Blood Manipulation – Legendary vampire Skill]
[Vampirism Serum]
[Dominic mory Fragnts]
For the first ti since the extraction process began, Gabriel did not imdiately make a decision.
Seraphina noticed the pause.
"What did you get?" she asked casually.
Gabriel did not answer yet. His eyes were still on the screen.
Blood Manipulation was exactly what the na suggested. A high level ability that allowed the user to control blood as a weapon or tool. It was what had made Dominic such a fierce opponent during their fight.
From the rank of the skill alone, Gabriel could already tell that its value was extrely high.
Vampirism Serum was another powerful option. He had seen sothing like this before back at the tower. The description stated that it could grant vampiric abilities to a human user, increasing regeneration and physical strength for a period of ti.
Both of those were clearly valuable.
But the third option was different.
Dominic mory Fragnts.
Gabriel’s gaze lingered on that one longer than the others.
Seraphina pushed herself off the pillar and walked over slowly.
"You look troubled," she said.
Gabriel finally spoke.
"There are three options."
Seraphina tilted her head slightly.
"And?"
He exhaled slowly.
"Blood Manipulation. Vampirism Serum. And Dominic’s mory fragnts."
Seraphina’s expression changed slightly when she heard the last one.
Gabriel continued.
"I have seen options like this before. It may contain Dominic’s mories."
She remained quiet while Gabriel continued looking at the screen.
If the fragnts truly contained Dominic’s mories, then there was a chance they could learn sothing important.
Dominic had clearly known many things about vampires.
More importantly, he might have known sothing about Seraphina.
Her identity.
Her past.
Possibly even the people who sealed her mories.
But the problem was obvious.
mory fragnts were never guaranteed to contain anything useful. They could be incomplete or completely irrelevant. There was also the possibility that Dominic’s mories had already been tampered with.
Gabriel frowned slightly. If soone had placed restrictions on Dominic, then there was no telling what condition those mories were in.
They might reveal sothing valuable.
Or they might reveal nothing at all.
Seraphina watched his expression for a few seconds.
"You are thinking too much," she said calmly.
Gabriel finally turned toward her.
"There is a chance those fragnts contain information about you."
She shrugged slightly.
"Or they contain useless nonsense."
Gabriel said nothing.
The truth was that the gamble was not small.
Dominic had clearly been connected to sothing bigger. A normal vampire would not be able to blend into human society so easily while knowing so much. On top of that, he died just when he was about to reveal valuable information. That alone suggested he possessed knowledge worth uncovering.
But if the fragnts were incomplete or corrupted, then the extraction would be wasted.
The system would not give him another chance.
Seraphina studied his face quietly before speaking again.
"What exactly is troubling you?"
Gabriel reached out and grabbed her wrist.
Before she could react, the system screen flickered.
The extraction interface expanded slightly and allowed her to see the sa options Gabriel was looking at.
Seraphina’s red eyes scanned the screen calmly.
Gabriel spoke.
"If we take the fragnts, there is a chance you might learn sothing about your past."
Seraphina remained silent as she continued reading.
"If Dominic knew who you were or where you ca from, those mories might reveal it."
She continued studying the screen for several seconds.
Gabriel watched her carefully.
He knew exactly what this ant. If she chose the mory fragnts, he would take them without hesitation.
Her identity had clearly been deliberately sealed. That alone suggested her past was not ordinary.
Learning about it might be extrely important.
Finally Seraphina spoke.
"Take Blood Manipulation."
Gabriel blinked once.
"That was quick."
Seraphina shrugged lightly.
"It is the best option."
Gabriel frowned slightly.
"You are not curious about the mories?"
She gave a small smile.
"Of course I am."
"Then why—"
She cut him off.
"Because it is a gamble."
Gabriel remained silent.
Seraphina continued.
"You said it yourself. We do not know what condition those mories are in."
She tapped the screen lightly.
"If soone placed restrictions on Dominic, then there is a good chance his mories were altered."
Gabriel nodded slowly.
"That is possible."
She continued speaking in a calm tone.
"Even if the fragnts contain sothing useful, there is no guarantee it will be enough to explain anything."
Her gaze moved to the other option again.
"But Blood Manipulation is different."
Gabriel looked back at the screen as Seraphina began explaining what Blood Manipulation was, even though he already knew.
Blood Manipulation allowed the user to control blood both inside and outside the body.
It could be used to create weapons, restrain enemies, or even increase physical strength by stimulating blood flow.
More importantly, the rank of the skill was high.
Even among vampires it was not a common ability.
Seraphina glanced back at him.
"That skill alone is worth more than the gamble."
Gabriel studied her face carefully.
"You do not want to know your identity?"
Seraphina smiled faintly.
"We have ti."
Gabriel said nothing.
She continued calmly.
"If Dominic knew sothing important, soone might have already tampered with those mories."
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"We do not know who was controlling Dominic. But if that person was strong enough to manipulate him, then altering his mories would not be difficult."
Gabriel stared at the screen again.
He was also watching her carefully to see whether she was truly fine with this decision or if she was simply doing it so he could beco stronger.
Seraphina shrugged lightly and added while staring at him with those calm red eyes.
"We can search for the truth later. But a high rank blood ability is sothing you should not throw away."
Gabriel studied her quietly.
"You are being very rational about this."
Seraphina smirked.
"Of course."
She stepped back slightly.
"Besides..."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow.
"We have all the ti in the world. We will uncover my mories gradually."
For a mont neither of them spoke.
The basent remained silent.
At the side, Anna looked at her master strangely, wondering who exactly he was talking to.
Ever since they exited the tower, he had occasionally shown this strange behavior. But although she was very curious, she knew better than to ask unnecessary questions.
Finally Gabriel nodded once.
"Alright."
He looked back at the screen.
Without hesitation he raised his hand and selected Blood Manipulation.
