God-Tier Extraction Talent: Reincarnated in a Game-like World! Chapter 479 479: Soul Key [1]
Back in the mini tower, the fight had ended faster than he expected.
Once the Healing Sli settled into its rhythm and Grizzlenaught fully understood the replica's attack pattern, the flow of the battle changed completely.
The bear stopped taking unnecessary hits and began forcing the fake Seraphina into close combat over and over again. Every ti she tried to widen the distance with blood whips or blood spikes, Grizzlenaught tore through them with raw force while the sli stayed behind it, bouncing in quick little hops and firing healing bubbles whenever needed.
Gabriel frowned slightly at their smooth teamwork. He had expected the two summons to work together decently, but not at this level.
The Healing Sli never got in the bear's way. Grizzlenaught also seed to understand exactly when it could trade blows because healing would co right after, restoring any health points it lost.
One pressured the enemy. The other kept the pressure sustainable.
It was only while watching that Gabriel noticed the reason Grizzlenaught felt so much stronger than before.
Its level had risen. He pulled up the status quickly and his eyes narrowed slightly.
[Level 50.]
"That explains it," Gabriel muttered.
Its strength, durability, and attack power had clearly gone up. The difference was not small either. A level 50 Elite monster was already dangerous enough to crush most ordinary fighters in New Dawn by itself. Combined with the Healing Sli behind it, the fake Seraphina never had a real chance once the battle settled.
In only a few more minutes, the result was decided.
The replica tried one last ti to form a large blood claw around her arm, but Grizzlenaught t it head on. A heavy spectral paw smashed through the skill, and before she could recover, the bear's second claw raked across her body.
At the sa ti, the Healing Sli spat one more healing bubble onto its back as if making sure it could finish cleanly.
The fake Seraphina staggered once and collapsed, withering away into glowing data fragnts that scattered into the air and vanished. When the floor beca quiet again, a single skill scroll remained where she had stood.
Gabriel walked over calmly and picked it up.
[Blood Claw]
[Rarity: Elite]
[Description: Forms a hardened claw of compressed blood around the user's arm or weapon hand. Increases cutting power, piercing force, and grip strength for a short duration. Can also extend slightly during strikes to catch opponents off guard.]
"Decent." He gave a small nod.
As far as he knew, the main towers and tower type treasures often worked like this. When the floor queen was killed, a reward always dropped. That was what made them so valuable. If a team was strong enough to repeatedly reach and defeat the sa queen, then they could farm rewards again and again. The problem was that most people were not strong enough to do it consistently.
So far, only a few teams in New Dawn had managed to defeat the queen of this mini tower, and every skill or item dropped from those runs had already been handed over to him and stored in the New Dawn arsenal for later use.
This ti, however, he had no intention of putting the reward away.
He turned toward Grizzlenaught, which was standing nearby with its heavy chest rising and falling while the Healing Sli bounced proudly around its feet.
Gabriel held up the scroll and said, "This is yours."
The bear let out a low growl as if saying thank you.
He crushed the skill scroll lightly, and the energy inside it broke apart into red sparks before flying into its body. Its eyes flared slightly, and after a brief pause, blood like energy gathered around one of its forelegs. It shaped itself into a large crimson claw that extended past its normal paw.
That was its way of showing that it had learned the skill successfully.
The Healing Sli bounced twice as if it was also pleased with the result.
With that done, Gabriel left the final floor and exited the tower.
As he stepped out, both Sarah and Sophie noticed him imdiately.
He looked between them the mont he arrived. Sophie's posture was as composed as always, but there was sothing stiff in the way she stood now. Sarah, on the other hand, still had that sa relaxed look on her face.
He raised an eyebrow slightly, finding the whole scene awkward. "What's going on?"
"Nothing serious," Sarah answered before Sophie could open her mouth.
Then, with a cheeky grin, she stepped closer and casually wrapped an arm around Sophie's shoulders. The move was so sudden that Sophie visibly stiffened beneath the veil.
"We were just getting to know each other," she claid.
Sophie gave a small nod a second later with a forced smile. "Yes, she is right."
Gabriel looked at the two of them in silence for a mont, feeling that sothing was off between them.
Still, after a brief pause, he simply shrugged it off. Whatever strange exchange had happened between them, he would find out later. He had other things to check first.
"Alright," he said while heading back to the mansion. "I will be busy. Tell that to anyone looking for ."
Sarah removed her arm from Sophie with an innocent smile before following behind him. Sophie stayed where she was for a second longer before returning to oversee the new batch of recruits who were entering the mini tower.
Once Gabriel reached his room, the first thing he did was sit down and pull up the Realm Hub forum.
The forum opened in front of him, and threads began scrolling rapidly across the screen. As expected, players were already gossiping nonstop. So were talking about guild politics. So were arguing about treasures. Others were busy posting guesses about the upcoming tournant and who would take first place.
He ignored all of it.
He opened the search bar directly and typed two words.
[Soul Key]
His eyes stayed on the screen as he hit search.
"Let's see what this soul key is all about."
