Inside the room, the atmosphere was much heavier.

Gabriel shifted slightly on the bed, his eyes locked on the blindfolded man in front of him. The summoner remained on his knees, his breathing uneven, his body tense like he was expecting sothing worse at any mont.

Grizzlenaught stood behind him, silent and unmoving, its presence alone enough to keep the man from even thinking of escape.

Gabriel did not rush. He studied him for a few seconds, letting the silence stretch just enough to build pressure.

"Let's not waste ti," he said calmly.

The summoner flinched slightly but said nothing.

Gabriel leaned forward a bit, resting his arm on his knee.

"Tell everything you know about the Black Star Clan."

The words ca out flat, but the intent behind them was clear. He did not want any gas or half answers. He wanted to know everything.

The man's throat moved as he swallowed. His lips parted slightly, but no sound ca out at first. His hands trembled against the floor.

Gabriel did not interrupt. He simply watched, giving the summoner enough ti to steady himself.

"I…" the summoner finally started, his voice rough. He paused again, as if weighing sothing in his head.

Then his shoulders dropped slightly.

Whatever resistance he had left was gone.

"I'll talk," he muttered.

Gabriel's gaze did not change as he spoke coldly. "Start from the beginning."

Barry licked his dry lips and kept his head lowered for a second before finally speaking.

"The Black Star Clan is an assassin organization," he said hoarsely. "That part you probably already guessed. What you may not know is that from the start, we were built to hunt players."

"We hate them. Most of the clan does, at least. Otherworlders show up, stir trouble, grow too fast, and upset the balance wherever they go. That was the old thinking. We were taught that players brought disorder, so cutting down the dangerous ones early was part of the clan's purpose."

Gabriel said nothing. He already knew that part.

In the ga, Black Star had always been one of the major player antagonists. Players dreaded them because they did not behave like ordinary enemies. They watched, tracked, set traps, and killed repeatedly until their targets were back at zero. Many players lost levels, treasures, and even entire quest chains because of them. They were not just killers. They were persistent.

Barry shifted slightly on his knees and winced when Grizzlenaught let out a low sound behind him.

"That was how it used to be," he added. "At least until the Patriarch t soone."

Gabriel's expression changed slightly. "Soone?"

Barry nodded his head. "A mysterious man. I do not know where he ca from. I do not know what was said between them either. People at my level were never ant to know that much."

He drew a shaky breath before continuing.

"Whatever that man promised, it changed everything. Since that eting, the clan's focus shifted. A lot of old priorities were pushed aside. Right now, the main target is you."

"What did this man look like?" Gabriel asked.

Barry's face tightened slightly as he tried to rember details he had probably only heard in fragnts.

"I cannot say much," he admitted finally. "No one described him properly. Those who saw him did not speak much afterward. But one thing kept coming up."

Barry paused, swallowed, then said, "They said he did not feel like he belonged to this world."

The room quieted after that.

Grizzlenaught stood still behind Barry like a wall of pressure. The light from the window touched one side of Gabriel's face while the rest remained in shadow.

He leaned back slightly against the bed and fell into thought.

Not of this world.

That phrase narrowed things and widened them at the sa ti.

The Holy Church wanted him dead. That much was obvious. The Graves were another faction with enough reason to move against him. Both had strength, reach, and the kind of grudge that could push them toward using Black Star as a blade.

Then another na surfaced, and he clicked his tongue.

"The Tempest family," he muttered.

He had killed their son, Ken. In a militaristic kingdom like Edgeburn, family pride and revenge were never small matters. He had not focused much on them after that because too many other problems kept appearing, but they had enough reason to act as well.

His hand rose and pressed against his forehead for a second.

Chaos Knight did not even cross his mind as a serious suspect. To him, they were more noise than a real threat. They could stir trouble, but this kind of move felt too calculated for them.

Crimson Star was another possibility.

So were guilds like Olympus, though that kind of hostility felt different. That was more like guild rivalry tied to Broken Dawn.

However, what made the situation worse was that all those groups knew him as Broken Heaven.

So even if they wanted to attack him, it should have been Broken Heaven and the Broken Dawn Guild that suffered it, not White Phantom.

Gabriel's eyes narrowed.

Barry looked up slightly, noticed the shift in Gabriel's expression, and quickly lowered his head again.

Gabriel's thoughts moved back to the castle.

The Black Star Clan had been targeting White Phantom tonight, yet they had still managed to track him there even though he had been as discreet as possible.

His face turned colder.

"So that's the real problem," he said quietly.

If they knew he was the sa person as Gabriel Reyes, then things would beco very complicated in the near future if he did not act quickly.

A few seconds passed before Gabriel looked at Barry again.

His voice was calm when he spoke, but the weight behind it made Barry straighten unconsciously.

"I have another question."
