"Dark fla orb!"

Following his whisper, a sphere of dark fla materialized at the tip of his fingertips. Gabriel channeled a whopping 50 more mana points, and just when it seed like it would explode in his face, he finally released it.

FWISH! BOOM!

The orb exploded right in front of the entrance to the settlent, raising a cloud of dust and debris into the air.

"We’re under attack!" one of the guards shouted. "Attack!"

FWISH! SWISH!

A rain of deadly arrows sprayed toward the front of the settlent. The archers were firing blindly, hoping their arrows would sohow strike the enemy.

The barrage continued for a while before it eventually stopped. The defenders watched their surroundings with cautious eyes and tense grips on their bows.

"Hey, do you see anything?"

"No, nothing."

"Could it be a beast?"

"Hey!" Suddenly, one of them pointed to the left, further from the main entrance. "There’s movent there."

Imdiately, the archers turned their attention in that direction, trembling fingers on their bows as they waited with bated breath for whatever it was to erge.

Seconds passed, but to the archers, it felt like an hour. Though confident in their aim, when facing an unseen enemy, not even Hero Ranks could stay calm.

At that precise mont, they saw a silhouette erge from the smoke, and their grips tightened on their bowstrings.

Slowly, the figure stepped out—and when the archers saw what it was, a confused and shocked look crossed their faces.

The figure that erged was none other than Grizzlenaught.

"W-What type of monster is that?"

"I’ve never seen one like that before."

"Kill it!!"

FWISH! FWISH!

Dozens of arrows rained down on Grizzlenaught.

The bear roared at the top of his lungs and, with monstrous precision, successfully deflected so of the arrows with his paws. Still, a few struck his shoulder and chest.

However, they weren’t powerful enough to penetrate deeply. Grizzlenaught savagely pulled the arrows out.

The injuries only enraged the bear, and he began to swipe his arms.

Blood-red visual claws appeared and shot toward the archers. Most of them couldn’t dodge and were cut in half upon impact.

anwhile, Gabriel observed the fight from a distance before slowly approaching the gate.

Seeing how powerful Grizzlenaught was, even the two guards at the entrance had temporarily abandoned their posts, attacking the beast with magic from a distance.

Gabriel took advantage of the distraction and activated Vicious Pounce, appearing several ters ahead. Then, using Burrow Shift, he covered more ground and appeared right behind the guards.

Just like that, he sneaked into the settlent—at the sa ti, his distraction, Grizzlenaught, was finally killed after sustaining many wounds.

"Is it dead?"

"I think so... Go check it out."

While the guards and archers remained occupied, Gabriel walked calmly down the wide dirt path, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips.

His distraction had been even more effective than expected. The only downside was that reviving Grizzlenaught would require an enormous amount of MP.

’Well, there wouldn’t have been a better way.’

He decided not to worry about it and instead focused on the task at hand.

His gaze swept around.

The settlent wasn’t very big. A couple dozen wooden houses lined the sides of the main path, with a few stone structures near the center.

The dirt path was filled with adventurers dressed in all kinds of crude armor. There was even a shirtless guy wearing a demonic mask, so to Gabriel’s relief, he blended in pretty well.

Of course, he also spotted a few Holy Knights, which imdiately soured his mood.

Glancing further ahead, peeking over the other buildings, he saw a luxurious gated mansion with dozens of weapon-wielding guards patrolling the grounds.

They carried mana guns, swords, bows, spears—even shields.

The defense here was much tighter compared to the outside.

That must be the place the auction is being held, his eyes glinted.

"Clear the way!"

Suddenly, a loud booming voice echoed. Gabriel stepped aside as several n rushed toward the front gate.

He snapped his fingers, and after deducting 100 MP, he summoned Grizzlenaught once more. He needed another distraction.

Monts later, the sound of battle echoed again.

"Dammit, I thought it was dead!"

"Did this bastard just resurrect itself?"

"Fire! Don’t stop! Kill it!"

Still, the mansion was heavily guarded, and attacking it directly would be a death wish.

Gabriel quickly searched for a shabby-looking hotel to spend the night. After paying an unusual fee of 5,000 dollars, he selected a room that gave him a perfect view of the mansion.

He spent the rest of the day making plans on how to sneak inside. His map had only shown the way to the settlent—everything else now rested on his shoulders.

He thought back to the forum post made by that Player. The player had said the settlent was run by a powerful slave trader with a Summoner class.

The man wasn’t inherently strong, but his summons were monstrous. His talents temporarily boosted them to fight far above their level.

And then there were the attendants to consider.

’There will definitely be an Apostle. Maybe even a Cardinal.’

He was certain the Church wouldn’t sit back and watch him rescue the Elven children.

No matter how he looked at it, this would likely escalate into an all-out war with the slave traders.

Suddenly, Gabriel heard the roaring of engines. Glancing out the window, he saw several Elven children being dragged into the building.

His eyes flashed with chilling coldness at the sight.

One of the children briefly locked eyes with him, and her gaze seed to plead for him to save her before she was dragged inside.

At first, he only wanted to do this for the rewards. Now, his plan had changed.

He needed to raze this entire settlent to the ground.

---

That night, after ntally preparing himself, Gabriel stepped out of the hotel—Crimson Judgent in one hand—as he approached the mansion.

"Hey, you! Stop—"

SHING!

The guard that tried to stop him was cut in half.

As soon as he died, several alarms blared through the settlent, alerting everyone.
