Ye Qiu delivered the goods in H City, and since today was Monday, he went to school.

At school, he naturally t Luo Bing and Xu Lei again, but after greeting them, he once again refused Xu Lei’s offer, which was to accept the Porsche she got from Wang Jie.

Xu Lei said that since Ye Qiu didn’t want it, she couldn’t take it either. She ntioned her car was just repaired, so why not return the Porsche to Wang Jie after all, considering Wang Jie is her student.

Ye Qiu thought about it, and knowing that Wang Jie was Wang Xinrui’s second brother and had desperately protected Wang Xinrui that day, he agreed.

Wang Jie wasn’t at school due to recovering from his injuries, so Xu Lei and Ye Qiu decided that they would return the car to Wang Jie once he ca back. Ye Qiu agreed, then drove ho in his pickup truck, which was vastly superior to the Porsche.

Naturally, it took him less than 15 minutes to cover the full 130 kiloters of the Minshan Highway.

However, even though Ye Qiu was pleased with the increased speed, he realized that even the tires he exchanged from the system couldn’t withstand such high-speed driving and wore out again when he reached Minshan County.

With no choice, Ye Qiu had to barely drive to Cheng Jie’s repair center.

Cheng Jie was already awake, and he was happy to see Ye Qiu. However, when he saw Ye Qiu’s worn-out tires, he sighed speechlessly, "Ye Qiu, how many tis have you changed your tires in just a few days?"

Ye Qiu shrugged helplessly.

Cheng Jie sighed and exclaid that he couldn’t help it before he went to change the tires for Ye Qiu.

A few minutes later, after the tire change, Ye Qiu frowned and said to Cheng Jie, "I still owe you so money for this, fat guy."

Cheng Jie had anticipated this, sighed, and said, "I knew you would say that. But Ye Qiu, although I don’t mind changing a tire for you, and this repair center belongs to my family, which ans I can change them for you while you owe , it can’t go on like this forever. Maybe you should figure out a way to earn money."

Ye Qiu nodded, acknowledging that Cheng Jie was right. He indeed needed to earn money now.

Although Ye Qiu had made quite a bit of money from endorsents and advertisents previously, all of it was used for cancellation fees after he left. Yet, it still wasn’t enough, and Lin Xirou had to cover the shortfall for him.

Since returning to Huaxia, he’s been in school and delivering goods daily, but the money he earned went to his father, and he barely made anything.

Hearing Cheng Jie’s words, Ye Qiu fell into deep thought.

"How to make money? Should I join a racing team now, participate in competitions, and continue with endorsents after gaining fa?"

He recalled how lucrative his past endorsents were during his peak, but he didn’t enjoy it as those were forced upon him by the club.

Ye Qiu’s preference was to calmly achieve his racing dreams, so he always wore a mask during races and advertisents.

However, Ye Qiu felt a bit nostalgic for those days when a single endorsent fee could solve all his current problems.

"But now I haven’t decided which racing team to join, plus I’m about to take the college entrance exam and don’t even know where I’ll attend university. By then, I’d need to join an alliance club located in the sa city as the university."

Ye Qiu was feeling a little troubled.

Right then, he suddenly heard the roar of a sports car engine followed by the sound of brakes in his ear.

Ye Qiu looked up, astonished. When he saw it was a McLaren MP4-12C, he froze,

and when he saw the young man with black-frad glasses stepping out of the McLaren MP4-12C, he asked in surprise, "Yue Feng, why are you here?"

It was Yue Feng who lent Ye Qiu a car for his race with Wang Long and others.

"Haha, aren’t you happy to see ?" Yue Feng walked towards Ye Qiu, smiling.

Ye Qiu shook his head, "How could I not be?"

Ye Qiu rembered Yue Feng’s help that day. Even though they weren’t yet friends, he certainly wasn’t an enemy.

"I heard you passed the A-level driving test. That’s impressive, and you were so brilliant during that test day. You’re now quite a small celebrity in the H City’s racing circles."

Yue Feng’s eyes sparkled as he looked at Ye Qiu.

Ye Qiu scratched his head awkwardly and smiled without saying a word.

Just then, Yue Feng suddenly made a curious noise, then walked towards Ye Qiu’s pickup truck. Upon touching the black engine cover, he asked Ye Qiu, "Can I take a look inside?"

Ye Qiu nodded.

Yue Feng opened the engine cover and was stunned by the brand-new components inside. He looked at Ye Qiu incredulously, "Wow, all the parts of this car have been modified. It must have cost a lot of money, right?"

Ye Qiu shook his head, "I can’t even pay for a tire change right now; how could I have money? These parts were gifted to by the Automobile Guild."

"You’re really short on money?" Yue Feng inquired.

"Yes, I’m really short on money now." Ye Qiu nodded and patted Cheng Jie’s shoulder beside him, "But luckily I have a brother like him to help , otherwise I wouldn’t even be able to pay for the tire change."

"Oh, I see." Under his black-frad glasses, a gleam passed through Yue Feng’s eyes. Then he said to Ye Qiu, "I have a money-making thod. Are you interested?"

"Oh? What thod?" Ye Qiu asked.

Yue Feng looked around, contemplated for a mont, and said, "Car gambling..."

"Car gambling?" Ye Qiu was surprised but imdiately shook his head, "No, better not."

Yue Feng said, "Car gambling can be very lucrative. From a single event, you can earn at least hundreds of thousands, even millions. Sotis, tens of millions can be easily made. Why wouldn’t you want to?"

Ye Qiu shook his head. He had heard about car gambling. He wasn’t sure about Huaxia, but it was extrely rampant in the United States.

In the United States, it’s called underground racing.

Underground racing (gambling on cars) is essentially a group of people forming a team, then sending out drivers to race, with spectators placing bets.

The winning team and driver split the losing team’s bets.

The reason it’s called gambling on cars is that so teams are actually in cahoots, and the race outcos are predetermined to swindle spectators out of their money.

Although the Automobile Guild has been cracking down on car gambling over the years, it remains rampant and active. Ye Qiu knew a little of the internal reasons.

It’s that underground racing is actually controlled in secret by big figures and businessn, as a ans to launder money or earn huge profits. So people also treat it as entertainnt.

For those strapped for cash, underground racing is undoubtedly a quick way to earn money.

But for drivers who have racing dreams and see racing as their life, they despise and scorn such practices as shaful.

Even though Ye Qiu’s racing dreams have faded, he still couldn’t accept the manipulative nature of gambling on cars.

"Ye Qiu, think carefully. You’re so short on money now and you’re not part of a team, why not just try it out?"

Despite his reluctance, Cheng Jie, disregarding Ye Qiu’s hesitations, suggested it thinking Ye Qiu’s skills would bring him benefits.

Ye Qiu shook his head.

Cheng Jie urged, "Ye Qiu, let’s just give it a try. You won’t lose with your car skills, and even if you do, there’s no real loss. Plus, there’s so much money to earn if you win! If you’re not willing, just play once, earn so cash, and we’ll bolt."

Ye Qiu frowned slightly, about to say sothing, when Yue Feng spoke: "This chubby guy’s right. Ye Qiu, if you don’t want to play much, then just race once, earn so cash, and withdraw. No one will stop you, okay?"

"Thanks for your kindness, but I think I’ll pass."

Ye Qiu refused again.

Yue Feng sighed, "Alright, since you’re not willing, I won’t push. But if you change your mind, you’re welco to find at Minshan Manor..."

After speaking, Yue Feng gave a slight smile and turned to leave.

But then Ye Qiu suddenly called out: "Wait, where did you say to find you?"

Yue Feng paused and then replied, "Minshan Manor, that’s exactly where our underground racing in H City happens."

"Minshan Manor?" A gleam appeared in Ye Qiu’s eyes, wasn’t that the location for upgrading the system with the first energy crystal chip?

"What?" Yue Feng looked at Ye Qiu questioningly.

Ye Qiu, after pondering a bit, nodded at Yue Feng: "Alright, I agree!"

Yue Feng rejoiced, Cheng Jie too smiled, and without further ado, they followed Yue Feng to Minshan Manor.

Yue Feng drove his McLaren to lead the way while Ye Qiu drove his pickup truck, and Cheng Jie followed suit driving his Ford, claiming he wanted to play around too. Though his skills were lacking, he might get lucky.

...

Although they didn’t drive very fast, Minshan Manor was located at the foot of the mountain in Minshan County, so they quickly arrived there.

"This is it."

Looking at the grand manor he saw every ti he delivered goods, where the energy crystal chip for system upgrade was located, Ye Qiu couldn’t help but feel a bit excited.

Arriving at the gates of Minshan Manor, they were stopped by security personnel, but upon recognizing Yue Feng, greeted respectfully: "Young Master Yue, you’re here."

Yue Feng nodded, "I brought two friends to play around."

The two security guards nodded, then looked at the pickup and Ford behind them, stunned, wondering internally: "What kind of status does Young Master Yue have, and why do his friends drive such cars? Won’t they lose miserably playing here?"

Despite these thoughts, they didn’t dare show it, quickly opening the gates and respectfully allowing Yue Feng and the others in.

As the pickup passed by, the security personnel looked at the young Ye Qiu inside and beca deeply curious about his identity.

Ye Qiu, under Yue Feng’s guidance, drove into Minshan Manor, and parked outside a three-story building within the manor.

But Ye Qiu was puzzled. Yue Feng told him this was the site for underground racing in H City, yet why were there no cars inside?

Despite his puzzlent, he didn’t think much of it, opening his car door and stepping out. At this ti, the window of the McLaren lowered, Yue Feng said to Ye Qiu, "No need to get out, we’ll drive straight inside soon."

Ye Qiu was puzzled, didn’t quite understand, but soon the large entrance of the building opened with a rumbling sound, revealing a long tal track extending inside, obscuring the view of how far it went.

Yue Feng, seeing Ye Qiu dumbfounded, laughed: "Get in your car quickly, when racing starts, you have to use your own car."

After speaking, Yue Feng started his McLaren and drove inside, Ye Qiu followed suit, got in his pickup, and together with Cheng Jie’s Ford entered.

As soon as they entered, the building’s massive door closed again with a rumbling sound, restoring its original appearance.
