Elizabeth adjusted her posture slightly as she continued placing the warm towel on Levon’s injuries to restore his HP as quickly as possible.
"Well, it all happened a long ti ago, when we fought against the gods. We were wiped out, and by then I was already immortal, so since then I have been in this lonely place, stuck in a loop — reliving the exact day after they destroyed everything," Elizabeth said, casting her head down sadly, as though she had no real interest in continuing the topic.
Levon could feel her grief. He wondered how long she had already lived in this city, reliving that day after doom over and over again.
"I’m really sorry about that. It must be incredibly painful — I can’t even imagine," Levon said, but paused slightly, looking at Elizabeth as though he wasn’t sure whether it was appropriate to continue what he was about to say.
"I know exactly what you’re thinking — what I said doesn’t answer your question, right," Elizabeth said lightly.
Levon only nodded slightly, his attention still fully on her.
"Well, I believe that if soone could conquer the witches’ coven, then I would at least have so hope of making it out. I an, since its existence it has never once been conquered," Elizabeth took a deep breath before speaking again.
"I need revenge, but the curse upon and the witches’ coven is unbreakable. I still believe that if soone can actually conquer the witches’ coven, then I might at least have a chance to break this curse. And I swear, if I do, I will seek revenge for what the gods did to and my people."
Elizabeth’s hands were balled into fists at this point, as though she was ready to fight soone. Her magical aura had already begun to flare.
Levon couldn’t help but look at her helplessly. The aura he was sensing told him she was no ordinary being at all.
She could very well be a celestial — it carried a weight sowhat similar to the angel that had killed him in his previous life, though it wasn’t quite the sa.
"Well, you should get so rest. We’ll head for the coven first thing in the morning," the woman said calmly as she moved away from the bedside where Levon rested.
It was quite clear the mories had already soured her mood.

"Levon, it’s ti to go," Elizabeth tapped him lightly on the leg.
Levon jolted awake imdiately. He couldn’t afford to sleep deeply — not because he didn’t trust Elizabeth, but mainly because in this world, anything could happen at any ti.
Friends could turn to foes under the right circumstances.
Levon quickly stood up and stretched lightly, and unlike what he had expected, the sa darkness still lood over the city.
If not for Elizabeth, he would never have guessed it was dayti at all.
But Levon couldn’t afford to be distracted. It was ti to finally press on with the plan — conquer the witches’ coven, claim the treasure chest, make a thousand copper coins, and go for the bloodline awakening.
In the long run, that would give him 1,000 system stones.
Levon and Elizabeth left her house shortly after, and as usual the streets looked completely void of any living being. That sa lamp still shone with the sa intensity Levon had noticed when he first made his way into the coven.
Elizabeth led Levon to the front of a very large castle.
The door of the castle was pale, bearing writings that were unreadable to Levon, and the wood looked as though it had been forged many years ago.
Elizabeth stopped right in front of the large door.
And as she always did, she turned to Levon to give him the sa talk she gave every single person who had ever made it this far. Normally, it was the last ti she ever spoke to them.
The coven had taken the lives of everyone who had ever attempted it, but looking at Levon, it felt like he might finally be the one to break the curse.
Just maybe this wouldn’t be the last ti she spoke to him.
But deep down, it wasn’t the first ti she had seen potential in soone. It just never seed to matter — they were never able to make it.
The coven didn’t test physical ability. It tested the mind.
Elizabeth looked directly at Levon’s hand, and his sword calmly materialized in it.
"This is the center of the city — it’s called the witches’ coven, as you can probably guess. The city itself was nad after it.
The trial is straightforward: there is a platform right in the middle of the coven containing three keyholes for different stones. Each of the stones will be found in different sections of the coven. Try your best not to destroy any of them, because once a stone is destroyed there is no way to restore it.
Once you have all three stones and place them in their specific locations, pull out the sword in the middle of the podium and co back out," Elizabeth said calmly, finishing her explanation and looking at Levon as though checking whether he had understood everything she said.
"Is that all?" Levon asked calmly, as though the task sounded easy enough.
"Well, it’s not as simple as you think. This is where most of the war took place, so there are no creatures here — but it holds the voices of the dead, which ans you will experience intense hallucinations.
They will be so real and so vivid that they will seem no different from the real world. But no matter what, never forget that every being or creature you see does not exist.
They will never exist. But even so, the hallucinations carry incredible power — they can kill you without you even realizing it. They can drain a person’s life force very easily, so you will have to be extrely careful," Elizabeth said, holding Levon’s gaze throughout.
She wanted to make sure he fully understood what he was walking into.
"Levon, if you want to back out, now is the ti. Once you enter the coven, it’s either you complete the quest — or you die," Elizabeth said calmly, her gaze steady.
