A white stone lay there, bright and glowing like sothing truly special.

Levon imdiately walked straight to it and picked it up, though he still couldn’t quite rember what exactly he was supposed to do with it.

*’Where am I again... wait, am I... oh yes — the stones.’* Levon imdiately rembered and took the stone with him as he left the chamber.

The stone was brighter than usual, already illuminating more than half the chamber on its own.

Levon walked straight to the platform and tested the stone against each of the holes one by one until he found the right fit, and placed it inside.

Sohow he felt like he should be moving faster — like danger was lurking nearby — but he just couldn’t rember anything specific. It was all a blur.

He felt like collapsing right there on the temple floor, his head banging harder than before.

Levon could feel his consciousness drifting further and further away. It was painfully obvious he was on the verge of passing out.

But Levon knew he couldn’t afford that. Whatever danger he felt looming around him was far greater than anything he could fully comprehend.

If he passed out, he might not be alive to tell the tale when it was all over.

Levon imdiately bit down hard into his own hand.

He was never going down — not here, not ever.

Blood trickled freely from his hand, but he didn’t care.

Pain surged through his body sharply, and with it ca a slight return of clarity.

He could finally rember what he needed to do next — he had to enter the second chamber.

Levon felt slightly freed from the grip that had been holding him. It was as though so of the tugging on his mind had finally loosened.

But he could still only rember a little at a ti.

It didn’t matter. He imdiately pushed into the second chamber.

In the middle of the room sat a woman with gray hair, rocking calmly in a chair. Her eyes were pure white, her skin pale and deeply wrinkled, like she had lived for more than a thousand years.

The room itself looked just as ancient — it held nothing but the rocking chair and a very rickety bed beside it.

In her hands was a doll.

She held it gently and rocked it slowly, as though trying to lull a baby back to sleep.

But sothing about the woman was deeply unsettling.

She looked familiar — as much as Levon wanted to deny it, she looked very familiar.

The drain on his ntal energy resud almost imdiately. Levon clutched his head, striking his injury several tis over — the pain was the only thing keeping his mind intact.

If not for his grave ward pendant, that injury might have already been fatal by now.

All of a sudden the woman in the chair bent her neck at an unnatural angle and looked directly at Levon with a strange, eerie smile.

"Don’t you recognize , Levon?" As she spoke, he could see her bloody teeth.

The doll in her hands had already turned its head toward Levon’s direction, as though it too was interested in the conversation.

Almost instantly the voices resud, but this ti he could hear Elizabeth’s voice among them. Levon grabbed his head tightly with both hands.

The dots were finally connecting — this woman actually sounded like Elizabeth.

*’No, that just can’t be. This isn’t her at all,’* Levon thought, as his head began spinning again.

"Of course it is, Levon — this is my true form," the being said, lunging straight at him almost imdiately. Levon slamd his fist hard into the sa spot on his hand as before.

The pain rushed through him harder than he could bear.

The figure imdiately vanished, and all he could see was the second stone.

He looked around but couldn’t find the creepy woman or her doll anywhere — it was as though no one had ever been in the room.

It suddenly occurred to Levon that maybe none of it was real. Maybe it was all a hallucination. But just as more mories were about to co rushing back—

He couldn’t rember what he had been thinking of anymore.

Without overthinking it, Levon simply moved straight to where the stone lay and picked it up.

It was just as bright as the first one, but the mont he turned around he was t with what looked like a dead end.

A woman was standing behind him.

She looked exactly like Elizabeth, but her voice sounded off.

"Co on, Levon — we need to leave. Don’t you see that’s a dead end?" Levon turned and t her gaze, and for a mont he was almost completely certain it was her.

He had already started moving in her direction.

But then he caught himself and struck his hand again. He could feel himself drifting further with every passing second.

The pain surged through his body imdiately, and it was as though a veil had been lifted from his eyes. He could see clearly now — there was no dead end.

And Elizabeth was nowhere to be found. It was as though there had never been anyone there at all.

At this point Levon wasn’t just wobbling — he was clinging to the last thread of consciousness he could summon. This place was not normal, and he knew it all too well.

He imdiately placed the second crystal exactly where it belonged, bit down on his hand once more, and headed straight for the third chamber.

*"This is it — after this chamber I can finally be free from this torture."*

[A player has just attempted to clear one of the most difficult treasure quests in the village. The reward will be a divine treasure chest, as it is an S-ranked mission.

Stay tuned — there will be a special event if the player succeeds.]

The announcent imdiately caught everyone’s attention.

Total chaos broke out at once.

"That is just being overly ambitious. Most of us are still struggling with level 3 and 4 monsters, and soone is already going for an S-ranked treasure quest."

"It’s truly pathetic. Well, 10 million humans have died already, so I really couldn’t care less if one more joins them."

Everyone was in an uproar upon receiving the news, as though it was simply too good to be true.

"All my friends died in the F-ranked treasure quest we attempted, and this guy thinks he can do it alone. It’s a sha that the event won’t even be possible," soone added as the chaos continued.

Without a doubt, it was an impossible task.
