The teenager stared at Feng Wu and still couldn’t utter a coherent sentence after quite a while.
“e over here and let me see your wound. Hey, I’m a physician. I won’t hurt you.”
Feng Wu immediately pulled the teenager to her side.
He was slightly older than Feng Wu, but he couldn’t be more than 15 or 16.
He stole a glance at Feng Wu when she pulled at him.
But Feng Wu didn’t notice as all her attention was on his neck.
“The energy channel is indeed injured. My aim is quite accurate.” After some close inspection, Feng Wu saw that the channel was indeed disrupted as she had foreseen, which pleased her.
The teenager rolled his eyes at Feng Wu. “So, are you showing off?”
“Ahem — of course not.” Feng Wu immediately changed the subject. “Although your energy channel is injured, I knew what I was doing, and your main artery is untouched. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to talk now. So, wasn’t I nice to you?”
The teenager was speechless.
Feng Wu didn’t care how the teenager felt. She took out some ointment and smeared it on his neck.
“Hey, that’s very inappropriate.” The pretty teenager protested.
Feng Wu smacked him on the head. “Nonsense. This is a supreme-level recovery ointment. Would you know how to apply it?”
The pretty teenager didn’t know what to say.
“No more crap. Activate your energy so that the bruise will disappear more quickly.” Feng Wu glanced at the teenager.
“Alright —”
He nodded obediently.
When Feng Wu applied the ointment on him, he could feel her soft hands on his neck.
He stole a glance at her, but all her attention was on his wound.
“Focus,” said Feng Wu without looking at him.
“Sure —” The teenager looked down, but he opened his eyes again after a while and stole glances at Feng Wu.
He wondered if she really hadn’t recognized him, and felt conflicted. As much as he wanted to ask her, he also feared her answer.
“Do you have worms on you or what?” Feng Wu was at the last step of clearing up his bruise, and she cast a grumpy glance at the fidgety teenager.
“What? No, I don’t,” he immediately said; he was a very clean and tidy noble young man!
“If not, why are you squirming?” Feng Wu looked at him.
“Well… I – I…”
Feng Wu waved him off before he could think of an excuse. “It doesn’t matter. I don’t care.”
The pretty teenager didn’t know what to say.
Feng Wu was as amazing as always. After a quick massage, the bruise on the teenager’s neck disappeared.
“Done.” She wrapped things up.
Taking out a damp handkerchief, she wiped each of her slender fingers clean. Then, with a wave of her hand, the cloth was set on fire.
She was in the habit of using disposable ones.
Burning it after one use was a hygienic and safe measure.
“Hey, why are you leaving already? Hey —”
Before the pretty teenager realized it, Feng Wu had already walked away. Moreover, she picked up her pace, and soon disappeared into the tall grass. The teenager couldn’t catch up with her even if he wanted to.
In the end, he could only stare blankly at Feng Wu from behind.
He wondered if she really didn’t recognize him…
