Xu Xiangbei took out bundle after bundle of cash from his briefcase, ten in total, and placed them into the old lady’s hands.

His action imdiately caused a stir, drawing admiring glances, and even so applause.

"This young man is really wealthy."

"Good people still exist!"

The old lady stared in amazent at the money in her hands, unsure if she should accept it, but she decided to take it to buy dicine for her husband’s illness.

She gave her phone number and ID number to Xu Xiangbei, about to kneel in gratitude, but Xu Xiangbei quickly pulled her up, not letting her kneel.

"Benefactor, Doctor Xu, you are our family’s savior, you saved all our lives."

"No need for more words, take the money and go buy the dicine."

Xu Xiangbei pulled Zhao Liu over: "You take the old lady to your boss to buy dicine. I’m leaving her in your hands. If anything goes wrong, I’ll hold you accountable."

Seeing Xu Xiangbei generously lend the old lady 100,000 Yuan, Zhao Liu was awed and pledged earnestly, patting his chest: "Don’t worry, Doctor Xu. I’ll take her to my boss to buy the dicine right away."

Zhang Xuesong led Xiao Haitao out from the small supermarket, handed him over to Zhao Liu, and saw Xu Xiangbei giving money to the old lady, attracting countless stares.

He knew the security here at the dicinal market was poor, frowned, and adjusted his glasses: "Let’s move quickly, carrying so much money at the market entrance, you’ll be targeted by those thieves."

The two walked towards the nearby alley, through which they would reach the Custor Returns Restaurant.

Xu Xiangbei placed the redwood box containing the thousand-year ginseng into his briefcase as well and said directly to Zhang Xuesong: "I actually want them to follow ; these guys are too rampant. Today, I only saw the old lady being pickpocketed, but who knows how many more thefts I miss. The public security here needs so serious managing. Co on, let’s go eat and see who’s foolish enough to follow us."

As they got to the middle of the alley, three big n with leather bags appeared, one of whom seed drunk, staggering as he walked, supported by the other two who periodically complained about his drinking.

Just as the three brushed past Xu Xiangbei, the drunk guy slipped and fell towards Xu Xiangbei, who instinctively reached out to support him.

A sliver of suspicion crossed Xu Xiangbei’s mind, as the supposedly drunk guy was completely lacking the sll of alcohol.

A glint of light caught his eye—a sharp blade, which was more like a razor blade, slender and ultra-thin, concealed in the man’s palm, was hard to notice without close inspection.

The three imdiately surrounded Xu Xiangbei and Zhang Xuesong in a triangulated formation.

The man impersonating a drunk held the blade to Xu Xiangbei’s throat, harshly commanding: "If you want to live, don’t move. We just want money, not lives. Move, and I’ll slit your throat."

Xu Xiangbei smiled, shrugged his shoulders, grabbed the man’s wrist with one hand, and squeezed fiercely. A crisp ’crack’ resounded.

The man cried out in agony, dropped the blade to the ground, clutched his wrist, and collapsed onto the ground, screaming wretchedly. His wrist bone had been shattered by Xu Xiangbei.

Xu Xiangbei, disgusted by their arrogance—unable to pickpocket, they audaciously turned to robbery—showed no rcy.

The three of them had already planned for one to control Xu Xiangbei while the other two grabbed the bags, one targeting Xu Xiangbei’s briefcase, the other Zhang Xuesong’s briefcase.

The guy trying to grab Xu Xiangbei’s bag had not even touched it before Xu Xiangbei kicked him out. He flew back like a rocket, crashing into the brick wall with debris flying.

That guy clutched his stomach, moaning on the ground, his face turning purple with pain.

In the blink of an eye, two of the three big n were down, leaving the one who managed to grab Zhang Xuesong’s briefcase, fleeing desperately.

Zhang Xuesong hadn’t reacted at all, watching the guy run far before shouting: "My bag, my bag!"

Seeing a stone at his feet, Xu Xiangbei’s toe rested on it, then he retracted, smiling as he asked Zhang Xuesong: "Director Zhang, what’s in your bag?"

"Fortunately, my wallet and phone are in my pants pocket. The briefcase had so of my receipts..."

Zhang Xuesong listed the items in his briefcase like a treasured catalog, while Xu Xiangbei shook his head—there wasn’t a single valuable item, the most valuable thing was the briefcase itself.

Xu Xiangbei dragged the two big guys to the end of the alley, smilingly saying: "Who among you will first tell who your boss is and take to him? I won’t make him wet his pants."

The guy kicked to the ground spat defiantly: "Pah, are you a cop, kid? Trying to catch our boss—not a chance."

Xu Xiangbei smiled, saying to the guy clutching his wrist in pain: "You’re lucky because your buddy is about to wet his pants."

A thread of Inner Strength penetrated the defiant guy, feeling like a thousand needles stabbing him internally, contorting his face with pain, sweat the size of beans poured from his forehead, and he wanted to scream but was silenced by Xu Xiangbei holding his mouth.

Terror filled his eyes, his body shivered as if electrically shocked, staring straight at Xu Xiangbei, who seed a terrifying Hell Demon in his eyes.

Under Xu Xiangbei’s Bone-Cracking Hand, the air soon reeked with a foul sll, the defiant guy soiling himself, lying down, twitching continuously with only intake, no exhale.

Xu Xiangbei, smiling at the guy clutching his wrist: "The second round begins, what are you going to do?"

The guy with the broken hand, having tasted Xu Xiangbei’s terrifying thods—a light squeeze of two fingers shattered his wrist—knew Xu Xiangbei was no ordinary person, scared into revealing everything to Xu Xiangbei.

The three were part of the Eight Kings of West City, with their boss being Li Sandao.

This was their turf, mainly targeting outsiders buying dicine, rarely local folks, and it was they who stole the elderly lady’s money for dicine.

The three were in the crowd watching the commotion, unexpectedly spotting an even wealthier target in Xu Xiangbei, clutching his bulging briefcase, itching to grab it.

They swiftly devised the plan to play drunk to rob Xu Xiangbei, not expecting Xu Xiangbei’s intentional setup luring them in.

Xu Xiangbei asked the guy clutching his wrist: "What’s your boss doing now?"

His face filled with fear, not daring to hide: "We’ve had good hauls lately, the boss is happy, he’s probably gambling at this mont with the second-in-command."

Xu Xiangbei, with a playful grin: "You seem pretty honest. I won’t lie to you. I’m a doctor; your buddy has been made into a fool by . Even if he cos to, he’ll be an idiot. Take to your boss now, and if you behave well, I’ll heal your hand. If not, it’ll be permanently disabled. Do you want to beco a one-ard hero?"

The guy shook his head like a rattle: "No, I don’t want to be a one-ard hero."
