Suddenly, a sword wind attacked; through the mirror, Xu Xiangbei saw a sharp long sword aid at his back. He dodged instinctively.
The Sword Palace Assassin was lurking behind him, evil and cunning, knowing he had no chance facing Xu Xiangbei head-on, attempting a surprise attack from behind.
He knew Xu Xiangbei could hear through the Wind Listening Device, so he restrained his Sword Qi, cautiously extending the long sword towards Xu Xiang.
He nearly succeeded, but in the mont of triumph, he hastened the sword thrust towards Xu Xiangbei’s heart, producing a trace of killing intent and Sword Qi, alerting Xu Xiangbei.
Foiled, he turned enraged and fled, vanishing with a few turns in the mirror maze.
Xu Xiangbei’s Iron Gall struck the mirror behind him with a clatter, allowing the Sword Palace Assassin to escape.
Xu Xiangbei navigated the maze with great caution, inching through, missing the capture of the Sword Palace Assassin several tis due to his slyness.
Xu Xiangbei sensed that the Sword Palace Assassin was playing cat and mouse, not daring to be careless, knowing the Assassin’s sinister and deceitful nature, every appearance potentially a trap.
Suddenly, the Sword Palace Assassin appeared before him. In the mirror maze, Assassins lined up, over ten sharp swords thrust towards him, swift and fierce in Sword Technique.
Xu Xiangbei suspected the Assassin reused old tricks, attacking with virtual and real mirror images, forcing him to differentiate reality from illusion.
He was about to block with his Iron Gall when shock overwheld him, feeling two surges of Sword Qi attacking from both left and right.
At the critical mont, without the luxury of thought, he flung both hands, sending four Iron Balls flying.
Clang, clang, clang, the long swords and Iron Balls clashed, the sound of gold and iron ringing like large and small pearls falling on a Jade Plate, lodious and elegant.
Xu Xiangbei confird he fell into another Sword Palace Assassin’s ploy; clearly, two individuals assaulted him, not the mirrored interference from when he was on the first floor.

The other matched in skill, but fought Xu Xiangbei for the first ti, appearing particularly energetic.
Xu Xiangbei sneered, his four flying balls suddenly crisscrossed, sending the two Assassins tumbling and sprawling, their swords dropping aside.
This ti, Xu Xiangbei insisted on not letting them sneak away again; the Iron Balls struck their heads heavily, knocking both out cold.
Xu Xiangbei humming a tune carried the two Sword Palace Assassins out of the mirror maze.
Seeing Xu Xiangbei unhard and having captured the Assassins, Zuo Mu rejoiced, yet found it astonishing that a single Assassin entered but two were carried out.
Tying the duo tightly, they prepared for handover to Officer Jenny, when Xu Xiangbei was about to call Jenny regarding her arrival, the mirror maze gradually shifted, revealing a corridor.
Xu Xiangbei silently thought, not good, more traps present.
From the depths of the mirror maze erged a lean man past his fifties, propped on a cane, Xu Xiangbei recognized him—it was Lei Zhenrong, president of the Thunderbird Group.
Lei Zhenrong’s face was expressionless: "Dr. Xu, long ti no see."
Xu Xiangbei suddenly realized and laughed: "I thought these assassins were hired by Lei Ziming. I even remarked how Lei Ziming leveled up, managing to find hidden Sword Palace Assassins—it was you pulling strings, Uncle."
"Indeed Dr. Xu is extraordinary, I, Lei, am impressed. I plead with you and Mr. Zuo Mu to spare my child, Ziming. You can have any amount of money."
Zuo Mu retorted coldly: "I want no money. Can money buy back my fellow disciple’s life?"
Xu Xiangbei laughed: "Did you hear that? You need money to survive, but sotis money isn’t omnipotent."
Zuo Mu fud: "The police will arrive soon, you and your cronies best prepare for prison."
Lei Zhenrong sneered: "It seems sentint is discarded, leaving no choice but ruthlessness—my apologies, you two have sought your own deaths."
Lei Zhenrong held a control device, his hand trembling as he gently pressed down.
Xu Xiangbei and Zuo Mu exchanged glances, knowing trouble was imminent. Xu Xiangbei kicked a nearby window open, sending his Iron Gall flying out, wrapping around a roadside power pole: "Hold my waist, let’s leap together."
Boom, a scorching blast wave approached, the giant explosion echoed, and Xu Xiangbei and Zuo Mu sprang from the inferno.
