Gu Xinyan’s face flushed with a bright red blush, panting from effort, "Did I scare you? I managed twelve steps now. I believe soday I can freely stroll around here."
Xu Xiangbei felt reassurance, "I believe in you. You’ll succeed."
Feeling Xu Xiangbei’s warm and broad chest, Gu Xinyan’s gaze softened, "Has my sister co yet?"
Xu Xiangbei, holding her as if cherishing a doll, never wanting to let go, replied tenderly, "Your sister ca at noon, we had lunch together. She’s resting in your room now, I’ll carry you upstairs."
Lu Xiaoi’s large and strong body blocked Xu Xiangbei, naïvely saying, "Brother Xu, put Sister Gu down, I’ve prepared the wheelchair."

Gu Xinyan waved off her sister’s embrace as if a child tasting sweet candy, addicted to walking despite the knife-like pain in her legs and falling to the point of injury, determined to stride forward with big steps.
Upon reaching the twelfth step, she gingerly took another step forward, already reaching the bed’s edge, prepared to fall.
But her leg felt no fatigue or pain, she delightedly told her sister, "Thirteen steps, I walked thirteen steps, I can walk even further."
Gu Xinyan endeavored to move her leg, taking another step forward.
Her step was heavy and long, a casual motion for most but a Herculean task for her, yet an absentminded act of others felt like a heavenly gift, bringing her untold joy.
