Lucifer sat at the table, staring at the empty clay pot in front of her. If it were socially acceptable for a Queen of Hell to lick a bowl clean, she might have considered it.

"It seems..." Lucifer murmured, patting her cheeks gently with her palms. "It seems my skin really is glowing a bit more. Is this the power of the iling Porridge?"

She had utilized every cubic inch of space in her stomach—including the separate dinsion usually reserved for desserts—to consu the porridge. The sweetness was subtle, the texture silky, and the promise of "beautifying the skin" was a powerful seasoning that made every bite taste like liquid vanity.

Beside her, Cerberus was a study in contrast.

The Hellhound had finished her bowl of porridge in record ti—approximately three seconds—and had imdiately returned to her true passion.

"at..." Cerberus whined, staring longingly at the kitchen where the leftover dried beef was stored.

"Eat your vegetables, Cerberus," Ren called out from behind the counter, his back turned as he washed the prep bowls. "You can't just run on protein. You need fiber."

"Vegetables are green," Cerberus grumbled, picking up a piece of broccoli with the enthusiasm of soone handling radioactive waste. She nibbled the very tip, swallowed it with a grimace, and then imdiately shoved a large piece of ham into her mouth to cleanse the palate.

Fuji Yumiko watched this interaction with a graceful smile, sipping her tea. "She really does have a healthy appetite. Watching Cerberus eat is always... spirited."

"She's a bottomless pit," Lucifer sighed, checking her reflection in her phone screen. "But enough about breakfast. Ren, when do we start the chocolates?"

"Soon," Ren replied. "Let just clear this away."

While the atmosphere in the restaurant was one of dostic tranquility and sweet anticipation, across the vast, imasurable void of the multiverse, in a world far removed from peace, a nightmare was beginning.

[Dinsion: Mirai Nikki / Future Diary]

It was the witching hour, that ambiguous ti between deep night and early dawn when the boundary between reality and dreams is thinnest.

In a modest room in Sakurami City, a young girl was sleeping. Her pink hair was fanned out across the pillow, and her breathing was shallow. But her consciousness was not resting. It had been pulled away, dragged through the static of space-ti into a realm that existed outside of the physical world.

The Cathedral of Causality.

The girl, Yuno Gasai, opened her eyes.

She was no longer in her bed. She was standing on a floating stone platform, suspended in a vast, purple void. Above her, the sky was a chaotic swirl of gears and clockwork machinery, grinding slowly with the sound of tectonic plates shifting.

She looked around calmly. Her pink eyes, usually sharp and calculating, scanned the environnt.

She was not alone.

Arranged in a circle around the central void were eleven other stone platforms. On each one stood a figure. They were shrouded in shadow, their features obscured by the unnatural lighting of this pocket dinsion. So were tall, so short; so stood with confidence, others huddled in fear.

Twelve platforms. Twelve participants.

In the center of the circle, hovering in the air like a grotesque deity, was a massive, skeletal figure wrapped in a dark cloak. His face was a tallic mask, and tubes connected his body to the great machinery of the universe.

Deus Ex Machina. The God of Space and Ti.

"Welco," Deus's voice bood, echoing not just in their ears, but in their minds. It was a sound like grinding iron. "My chosen ones."

Yuno stood perfectly still, her hands clasped behind her back. She showed no fear. To her, this was simply the next step.

"I am Deus," the entity proclaid. "And you are the twelve holders of the Future Diaries."

A murmur rippled through the shadowy figures. So looked at their mobile phones, clutching them tightly.

"My ti is ending," Deus continued, his voice weary. "The core of my existence is unraveling. If I die, this world dies with . Space will collapse, ti will cease, and everything will return to the void."

He raised a massive, skeletal hand.

"Therefore, I must choose a successor. A new God to sit upon the throne of ti and space."

"And that is where you co in."

The gears in the sky spun faster, emitting a high-pitched whine.

"This is a Survival Ga," Deus announced, his tone shifting from weary to commanding. "I have granted each of you a Future Diary. Each diary has a unique ability to predict the future, tailored to your personality and habits. Use them."

"Use them to find the identities of the other eleven holders. Use them to track them down. And then..."

Deus's eye sockets glowed with a malevolent red light.

"Eliminate them."

The word hung heavy in the air.

"There are no rules of engagent," Deus explained. "Kill or be killed. Form alliances and betray them. Hide or hunt. The ga will only end when there is only one person left alive. That survivor will inherit my power. They will beco the God of this world."

Yuno listened, her expression unreadable.

"There is no way to quit," Deus added, preempting the panic. "If your diary is destroyed—even a small crack, a pierced screen—your future disappears. And when your future disappears..."

He gestured to a floating holographic demonstration. A phone shattered, and the avatar holding it twisted, scread, and vanished into a singularity.

"...you will be erased from existence. A Dead End."

Silence descended upon the Cathedral. The gravity of the situation settled on the shoulders of the twelve participants. They were trapped in a battle royale where the prize was divinity and the penalty was absolute erasure.

"Now," Deus rumbled. "Let the ga begin."

The figures began to fade, their consciousnesses returning to their physical bodies. One by one, the shadows vanished from the platforms.

Eventually, only two remained.

Yuno Gasai stood on the platform designated "2nd."

Across from her, on the platform marked "1st," stood a boy. He was hesitant, trembling slightly. He looked terrified.

Yuno stared at him. Her gaze wasn't predatory; it was intense, focused, and terrifyingly possessive. Even though he was just a shadow, she knew him. She knew his posture. She knew the way he held his phone.

Amano Yukiteru.

The 1st vanished.

Yuno was alone in the void with the dying God.

Slowly, a smile began to creep across her face. It wasn't a smile of joy. It was a smile of broken sanity.

She brought her hands up to her face, her fingers clawing at her flushed cheeks. Her shoulders began to shake.

"Ah..."

A sound escaped her lips. A giggle. Then a chuckle.

"Ahahahaha... Ahahahaha!"

Her laughter grew louder, echoing through the empty cathedral. It was a sound of pure, distilled madness. Her pink eyes dilated, the pupils contracting into pinpricks. A strange, feverish blush spread across her face.

She didn't care about being God. She didn't care about the world ending.

All she cared about was him.

"Yukki..." she whispered through her fingers. "This ga... it's for us. It's all for us."

The platform dissolved. Yuno Gasai fell back into reality.

[Sakurami City - Yuno's Bedroom]

Yuno sat up in her bed, gasping for air. Her room was dark, filled with the clutter of a girl's life, but underneath the surface, sothing was wrong. The air was stale.

She grabbed her phone—a blue flip phone—and flipped it open.

The screen glowed in the darkness. The text scrolled rapidly, updating itself.

[Yukiteru Amano Diary]

10-minute intervals. Updates on Yukki's actions.

It wasn't a dream. It was real.

"It's real..." Yuno breathed. She hugged the phone to her chest, burying her face in the duvet.

"Hehehehe..."

Muffled laughter erupted from the bed. If anyone had walked in at that mont, the sight would have frozen their blood. The girl was trembling with ecstasy.

She lifted her head, her eyes shining with a terrifying determination in the gloom.

"Deus... Muru Muru..." she whispered to the empty air. "As long as I win... as long as I beco God... I can have him. I can have everything."

She looked at the phone again. The entry for the future. Dead End.

It didn't matter. She would change it. She would smash fate with a hamr if she had to.

"Hey... Amano-kun... Yukki..."

She smiled, a wide, crescent moon smile that reached her ears but left her eyes cold.

"You have to work hard. You have to help beco God. And then... we'll be together forever. Forever."

"Hehe~"

[Dinsional Restaurant - Morning]

The cara panned back to the warm, safe interior of the Dinsional Restaurant, a world away from the impending bloodbath of Sakurami City.

Ren wiped his hands on a towel, looking at Cerberus. The Hellhound was currently slumped in her chair, her limbs sprawled out like a ragdoll. Her belly was visibly rounder.

"I told you," Ren said with an amused smile. "Eating that fast leads to a food coma. Would you like sothing to drink to help with digestion? I have so sour plum juice chilling in the fridge."

Cerberus's ear twitched. "Plum juice!"

She shot up, the food coma apparently forgotten at the ntion of a new flavor.

Ren shook his head, smiling, and walked to the refrigerator. He poured a glass of the dark, ruby-red juice. The condensation beaded on the glass imdiately.

"Here," Ren placed it in front of her. "Sip it. Don't chug it."

Lucifer watched this with a helpless expression. "Ren spoils you," she scolded Cerberus gently. "No one is fighting you for the food. Why do you eat like a starving wolf? Doesn't your stomach hurt?"

Cerberus took a sip of the sour juice, her face puckering in delight. "It doesn't hurt! It feels full! Full is good!"

She set the glass down and looked at Lucifer, her three distinct personalities seemingly converging on a single thought. Her eyes widened.

"Oh! Right, right, right!" Cerberus exclaid, slamming her hands on the table. "Lucifer! I have sothing to tell you! It's important!"

Lucifer tilted her head, taking a sip of her tea. It was rare for Cerberus to be proactive about anything other than food. "What is it? Did you find a new at supplier?"

Cerberus leaned in, lowering her voice to a stage whisper that was audible to everyone in the room.

"Lucifer, Lucifer, Lucifer... I saw it."

"Saw what?"

"The little bunny."

Lucifer froze. Her tea cup stopped halfway to her mouth.

"The little bunny you dropped earlier," Cerberus continued innocently. "It fell out of your bag when you were looking for your phone. It was pink and fluffy!"

"UGH!"

Lucifer made a sound like a strangled goose. Her face went from pale alabaster to a shade of red that rivaled a ripe tomato in less than a second.

Crash.

She slamd her tea cup down—miraculously not breaking it—and scrambled out of her chair.

"I—I have to go check the stock upstairs!" Lucifer squeaked, her voice an octave higher than usual. She turned and practically sprinted toward the stairs, her silver hair whipping behind her.

Fuji Yumiko, who had been observing the scene with mild interest, blinked in confusion.

"A little bunny?" Yumiko asked, looking at the retreating back of the Queen of Hell. "Does Lucifer have a pet rabbit? I haven't seen any animals here besides Cerberus."

Cerberus shook her head violently, her pigtails flying. "No, no, no! My... Ren said that since this is a restaurant, we can't keep other animals because of hygiene regulations! It's not a real bunny!"

She gestured with her hands to indicate size.

"It's a... it's a doll! A toy!"

"It's nothing!"

A shout ca from the top of the stairs. Lucifer had stopped halfway up, realizing she couldn't leave Cerberus unsupervised with this topic. She gripped the railing, her face still burning.

"It's just a... a collectible!" Lucifer stamred, trying to regain her dignity. "It's just a little bunny doll!"

Fuji Yumiko looked at Lucifer, then at Cerberus, and a slow, knowing smile spread across her face.

"Oh my," Yumiko chuckled, covering her mouth elegantly. "I didn't expect you, a CEO of the Underworld, to have such a soft spot for... plushies. How cute."

Lucifer turned her head away, refusing to et Yumiko's teasing gaze. "I... I just thought it was well-crafted! It was on sale! I bought it for... for interior decoration!"

"Interior decoration," Yumiko nodded solemnly, though her eyes were dancing with laughter. "Of course. A pink bunny is essential for the aesthetic of a Hell Queen's bedroom."

Lucifer groaned. Her image. Her cool, terrifying image was shattering into a million pink, fluffy pieces.

"It's... it's comfortable to hold!" Lucifer whispered, her defense crumbling.

Yumiko's smile softened. "I see. Well, looking at it that way... you are unexpectedly cute, Lucifer."

While the won were discussing the plushie demographics of the underworld, Ren walked out from the kitchen, carrying a tray with more plum juice for Yumiko and Lucifer.

He paused.

The atmosphere in the room was thick with a very specific kind of feminine energy. Lucifer was blushing on the stairs, looking like a caught teenager. Cerberus was looking proud of herself for sharing news. Yumiko was smiling like a benevolent teacher who had just discovered a student's crush.

Ren looked at Lucifer. He looked at Cerberus.

"So," Ren said slowly, placing the tray down. "Is it what I think it is?"

Lucifer stiffened. "No!" she shouted instantly.

"Really?" Ren raised an eyebrow.

"Really!" Lucifer insisted, her knuckles white on the railing.

"What is real? What is fake?" Ren asked philosophically, tilting his head. "Is the bunny real? Is the embarrassnt real?"

"Nothing at all!" Lucifer practically shrieked. "Ren! Stop asking! Drink your juice!"

Ren chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. He knew better than to push a cornered demon too far.

"Is that so?" Ren smiled, his eyes gentle. "Well then. Co down and have sothing to drink first. We need to be hydrated before we start the chocolate war."

Lucifer looked at him, hesitated, and then slowly walked back down the stairs, muttering under her breath about "traitors" and "nosy dogs."

"Mm!" she grunted, snatching the glass of plum juice Ren offered. She took a sip, the sourness cooling her burning cheeks.

Ren watched her, thinking that for a thousands-year-old entity, she was surprisingly easy to read. And, he had to admit... the idea of the Queen of Hell sleeping with a stuffed bunny was undeniably adorable.

[Akarin's Note: The "bunny" is a cute plush toy Lucifer bought secretly. It represents her softening personality and desire for comfort in the human world, contrasting with her title.]
