Using the still-liquid batter to bind the chopped lettuce and egg mixture, then quickly flipping the oyster pancake.

"Sizzle—"

The golden egg batter sizzled in the pan, releasing a rich egg aroma, while the heat also brought out the clear fragrance of the lettuce.

The flipped side had been fried to a brownish-yellow, visibly filled with plump oyster at, which was still bubbling out oil.

This ti, it didn't take long to cook, as the oyster pancake was inherently thin, even thinner than the oysters themselves, it cooked quickly.

Taking the whole oyster pancake out and placing it on a plate, egg side up, then spreading secret sweet and spicy sauce on top.

The golden egg batter paired with light green lettuce pieces, slightly charred pancake, and orange-red sweet and sour sauce, plus the air filled with the fresh aroma of oysters and eggs, it was indeed a dish the two won had never seen before.

Not to ntion these foreigners, even Lucas had a curious look, sohow grabbing a spoon, running over to Lin Chen's side to scoop so sauce from the bowl, and flipping it into his mouth to taste.

Seeing his move, Jonathan imdiately set his work aside and also took a little spoon from his sleeve to try the flavor.

"Tomato sauce-like sweet and spicy sauce? Hey, it's not bad, interesting."

In Western cuisine, which views sauces as the soul, developing new dishes inevitably involves creating new sauces.

With a ready sauce in front, it's definitely important to draw so inspiration.

The nearby couple suddenly felt a bit regretful, thinking that the dishes others were eating seed more delicious than the ones they had before.

Why didn't they think of bringing so seafood?

A pretty al is indeed pretty, great for showing off on social dia, but the satisfaction of eating it is rather diocre, at best simply trying sothing novel.

Despite having no initial interest in Great Xia Cuisine, seeing others eat it now made them strangely crave it, like nurous ants crawling inside, intensely itchy.

Nicole was completely oblivious to the reactions of others around her; her eyes were all on the freshly made oyster pancake.

The previously made fried oysters and marinated oysters seed relatively normal, at least understandable to her, but making a pancake with oysters...

She absolutely couldn't grasp it!

Pancakes appear very rarely in Western cuisine, mostly crêpes, and sweet ones at that.

So she couldn't imagine how oysters could possibly pair with sothing like pancakes.

Yet, one must admit, the presentation indeed looked quite appealing.

She quickly pushed aside the mountain-like layer of crispy garlic powder on the plate, pulling out the hidden remaining fried oysters, sharing them with friends, then imdiately extending her fork towards the still steaming oyster pancake.

The pancake, appearing crispy and golden on the outside, surprisingly had a soft and springy texture, and cutting it with a dining knife revealed a slight rebound.

Nicole cut a large piece of pancake with oyster at, rolling it several tis in the sauce at the bottom of the plate, letting the pancake absorb the sauce thoroughly.

Since potato starch and yam starch were used instead of flour, the texture of the oyster pancake was more similar to wide noodles or yam sheets, sticky and chewy, yet not completely, also having an appropriate pancake texture.

The secret sweet and spicy sauce had a distinct difference from the Thai kind, not as intensely sweet and spicy, instead adding a slight tomato sauce sourness and the rich flavor of doubanjiang.

Nicole, though unable to distinguish the rich flavor, found it incredibly tasty.

The mysteriously crispy outside, soft inside pancake instantly captured her heart, especially the sauce covering it, combined with the scorching hot and fresh oyster at and egg, the harmonious taste was incredibly captivating.

Having initially eaten so many oysters in one go, her anticipation and craving for oyster at had been heavily suppressed, almost too much at one point.

Yet, this oyster pancake wrapped in sweet and spicy sauce rekindled her initial desire for oyster at, producing a misleading sense of wanting to keep eating, never getting enough.

"Sizzle"

Lin Chen began making the second oyster pancake.

Upon hearing this sound, the two simultaneously breathed a sigh of relief.

Mainly because the quantity of this pancake was indeed small, split between the two ant it disappeared quickly, definitely not fulfilling.

"Can the remaining bits be packed? I feel pairing them with steak or pork chop should also be delightful, or resembling the picture, blend in so fried prawns."

"Absolutely, miss, I'll pack it for you."

Dais imdiately stepped forward to take the plate of stir-fry ingredients from Typhoon Shelter, heading towards the kitchen.

Just as she stepped through the kitchen door, her expression changed, hastily grabbing a spoon to scoop a small spoonful of crispy garlic into her mouth.

She had been curious about its flavor for a long ti and wouldn't seize the mont; who knows when there'll be another chance to encounter Lin Chen making this dish.

In the mouth, a rich garlic flavor erged, and the texture was as crispy as it appeared, crunching with each chew like munching on the outer layer of fried pork chops, but altered to the spicy flavor of Great Xia.

"So this is what it tastes like. No wonder they say it pairs well with at, it really does. I've learned it. Next ti, if I have the chance, I'll make it for my family to try."

When Lin Chen was cooking earlier, she was observing attentively the entire ti. Although she couldn't rember the proportions, she had a clear grasp of the ingredients and the preparation process. Later, when tidying up the kitchen, she could take pictures of the ingredients' nas and appearances.

As long as she visits Great Xia Supermarket, she's sure to find the sa ones!

While packing up the takeout box, a slight curve ford at her lips, imagining how her kids and husband would give her a thumbs-up for her suddenly improved culinary skills.

She didn't dare linger in the kitchen for too long to avoid arousing suspicion.

She even carefully washed the spoon, dried it with a clean towel, discreetly tucked it into her apron pocket, and placed the dish in the dishwasher basket before quickly walking out with her takeout box.

It turned out she was overthinking it; everyone in the restaurant was focused on the plates in front of the two beautiful guests, wishing they could rush over and steal a bite, not paying attention to her actions at all.

"Head Chef, what delicious breakfast are you making tomorrow morning? Can you give us a little hint?"

The Great Xia couple, who had been eagerly watching by the stove for a long ti, finally couldn't hold back and asked the question they'd been pondering for ages.

They couldn't help it; seeing others enjoying their food so much reignited their longing for Great Xia Cuisine.

"Breakfast tomorrow? Let think... but first let finish what I'm doing."

Lin Chen took a mont to respond to the two, continuing to focus on the food in the pot.

Soon, Nicole and her friend had devoured every bit of food in front of them, including the second, third, and fourth plates of freshly made oyster olette.

"I'm so full, I've never enjoyed oysters this much before. What will I do in the future?"

" too!" Nicole gently placed her slender fingers on her rounded belly, eyes filled with concern. "After eating these, the thought of going back to ordinary oyster dishes doesn't excite anymore."

Great Xia Cuisine has such a magical presence, completely different from what they're used to in appearance, color, aroma, and taste.

This intense thrill brought by the novelty cannot be easily diminished in a short ti.

Especially for diners like them, who are very open to foreign cuisines, until they fully satisfy their curiosity, returning to ordinary daily als will leave them feeling regretful.

Having hardly helped the entire evening, Dais and Elsa voluntarily stepped forward to tidy up the workspace, aware they were being paid employees and couldn't blatantly slack off in front of their boss.

Finally able to rest, Lin Chen wiped the sweat from his forehead. While not physically exhausted, the ntal exertion was quite significant.

At this hour, placing the ingredient order for tomorrow morning would certainly be tily, but coming up with new ideas every day is quite a hassle.

Recalling the recent handful of challenge tasks he received, he decided to take it easy and follow the system's arranged route.

"Tomorrow I'll make the most ordinary and holy Chinese breakfast: congee, soy milk, fried dough sticks, and so small dishes."

"That sounds great!"

The couple, having waited for over ten minutes, showed no signs of impatience but rather an eager anticipation.

As office workers, managing to wake up on ti for work is already quite an achievent, leaving little to no ti for breakfast, usually grabbing random buns or sandwiches from a convenience store along the way.

Reflecting on it, they hadn't had this kind of traditional breakfast of congee and small dishes in quite so ti.

Not thinking about it was one thing, but when they recalled the taste, their mouths began to water once more.

"What ti does breakfast start here? I've seen online that you need to queue in advance, right?"

"Technically, it's at seven."

Lin Chen helplessly shrugged, "But these foreigners sohow learned what hustle culture was, and now they start coming ten, twenty, even thirty minutes early to queue for a spot."

"These lazybones, we can't understand why they get so proactive just for breakfast, lunch queueing is one thing, but not breakfast!"

Seeing the ti, they both paled.

"Oh no, it's getting late. Let's go wash up and get to bed early, see you tomorrow morning, Head Chef!"

Watching them hurry off, Nicole seed to realize sothing and asked the sa question.

"Lin, what's for breakfast tomorrow morning? Do we need to get up early to try it?"

Though an old custor, she mostly visited for lunch, rarely managing to catch breakfast unless it was almost sold out.

Reflecting on past experiences, she planned to prepare ahead this ti.

"Tomorrow will be traditional Great Xia breakfast: congee, small dishes, soy milk, fried dough sticks..."

After a simple explanation of these foods, Nicole nodded with a vague understanding, only recalling the soy milk and fried dough sticks.

"Never mind, it's not important. By tomorrow morning, I'll know what they're like once I eat them!"
