Law caught the punch with his left hand, but both Uvogin and Machi knew that he wasn't left-handed.
As they moved forward, Law didn't pause either and was growing stronger as well.
How much distance still remained between them? They wouldn't know unless they tested it themselves.
Would they still be left in the dust, or close the gap significantly? Or perhaps even walk side by side?
"Let's go! Fight 101. This ti, I won't lose!"
Uvogin stopped laughing, walked out of the house, and was about to drag Law to the landfill for a fight. He didn't care if tonight's moon was bright enough or not.
He had lost to Law a hundred tis already, and after months of grueling training to get stronger, it was only natural to reclaim so dignity. No matter what, he was determined to win at least one fight against Law.
However, Law brushed off Uvogin's hand without hesitation.
What a joke! If this battle started, not to ntion one hundred and one, it could reach one hundred and ten matches.
Even if there's Sanbica to help him to snatch Shin tomorrow, it won't be so easy that he can do whatever he wanted tonight.
"No fighting." After slapping Uvogin's hand away, Law directly refused.
Uvogin retracted his hand, not caring at all. He just smiled and said, "That's not up to you!"
His eager expression and tone were like a man who had abstained for decades suddenly spotting a stunning woman. There was no way he'd let it go.
"If you don't fight him now, he'll pester you endlessly." Machi remarked as she crossed her arms and watched the fun from the side.
Law rolled his eyes and said, "One match is fine, but do you think this guy will be satisfied with anything less than four or five matches?"
"True enough." Machi nodded in agreent.
After a pause, a sly look flashed in Machi's eyes, and she suddenly looked at the restless Uvogin and said: "Uvogin, Law just told that he'd only agree to join the Troupe if we can beat him."
Not content with rely watching, Machi added fuel to the fire.
"Oh?" Uvogin's expression instantly turned serious. That gave him yet another reason not to lose.
"Machi!" Law glared at her, who looked as if it had nothing to do with her.
"I'll go call the others. You two can take your ti fighting." Machi slapped Law on the back of his head and waved her hand as she turned and left.
After taking a few steps, she paused and added without turning around, "By the way, when Law ntioned that condition, he only said we needed to beat him, but didn't specify how many matches, so... feel free to fight him a hundred tis if needed."
After saying this, a sly grin spread across her face as she walked away, disappearing quickly from view.
Law looked at the direction where Machi had left and wanted to give Machi a good chop on the head.
Crack, crack.
Uvogin cracked his knuckles and said seriously: "Let's go. Ti to even the score."
'Even the score, my ass! That's a hundred rounds!'
Law tilted his head to look at the battle-crazed Uvogin, handed him the bag and said, "Take it."
Uvogin glanced at the large sack which contained sothing unknown. He thought that Law agreed to fight with him in the landfill, but just wanted to put the things in his house first, so he simply took it.
"Wait here. I'll be right back."
After taking the cloth bag, Uvogin turned around and walked into the house. Fortunately, the door was big enough and he could pass through easily.
Seeing Uvogin holding the cloth bag and entering the house, Law froze for a mont. He originally wanted to show Uvogin what was inside and then persuade him not to fight.
He didn't expect that Uvogin had simply taken the bag and gone back inside.
In no ti, Uvogin ca out after putting the bag away and said impatiently, "I've put it away for you. Let's go to the landfill right away. Stop wasting ti."
As he spoke, he glanced at Sanbica, who was standing quietly at the side, and said, "Is this your friend? Do you want to co with us?"
Sanbica just looked at Law. If Law agreed to fight Uvogin, she would definitely follow him.
"Uvogin." Law scratched his cheek.
"Hmm?" Uvogin looked at him.
"Now, I'm going to give you two options." Law said seriously.
"Let's hear them." Uvogin replied.
…
Half an hour later.
Machi led the other Troupe's mbers to Uvogin's house, but unexpectedly found Uvogin sitting on the couch in the living room, alongside Sanbica, who ca with Law.
"Uvogin?" Machi walked into the house, and others ca in one after another.
"Oh, you're here." Uvogin looked at everyone and waved his hand as a greeting.
Sanbica glanced at the doorway and silently looked at the newcors. She only thought that these people were Law's friends.
Not only were Chrollo, Pakunoda, and Nobunaga present, but even Feitan and Franklin, whom Law had never t, ca. When they entered the house, they noticed Sanbica, who is an outsider.
"You didn't fight?" Machi frowned slightly. She made this judgnt based on Uvogin's condition.
"Law said to wait a couple of days, and I agreed." Uvogin replied nonchalantly.
"That doesn't sound like you." Machi remarked as she stared at Uvogin with scrutinizing gaze.
Uvogin scratched his afro and said, "I want to start fighting right away, but then I wouldn't get to eat tonight. It's only two days anyway, so I can just bear with it."
"…"
Machi's expression subtly shifted at the ntion of food. She could guess why Uvogin's desire to fight had taken a backseat. If anything could quell Uvogin's battle-hungry spirit, it was Law's cooking.
"What are you guys talking about? Where's Law?" Nobunaga glanced around the room with a dozen beers in his hand, but didn't see Law.
"Here."
Law was in the kitchen. When he heard the noise coming from the living room, he opened the kitchen door, leaned on the door sill, and looked at the gathered mbers of the Troupe.
After persuading Uvogin with dinner, Law had started preparing Buddha Jumps Over the Wall in Uvogin's kitchen. He had just gotten the dish on the stove when he heard the commotion and figured Machi and the others had arrived.
In addition to Machi and his companions, there were two more 'new faces'.
'Feitan and Franklin...?'
Law looked at Feitan and Franklin, whom he t for the first ti. These two were also mbers of the Phantom Troupe and they were the stronger mbers.
Feitan was wearing black casual clothes, with pale skin, black bangs tilted to the left, and pointed eyebrows that gave him fox-like eyes.
Franklin, on the other hand, was even more massive than Uvogin, with a square face, short black hair, and heavy, solid features.
Noticing Law's gaze, Franklin sized him up as well. Although they hadn't t before, Franklin had heard about him from Uvogin and the others, so he judged Law was worth paying attention to.
Feitan didn't share Franklin's calm deanor, and he looked at Law with a piercing gaze.
Law didn't pay too much attention to Feitan's piercing gaze. Instead, he turned his gaze back to Nobunaga, raised his eyebrows, and shouted, "Did Uvogin's stupidity rub off on you?"
The reason Law said this was because Nobunaga, upon seeing him, had set down his pack of beer and, with a sharp tallic sound, drawn his sword.
After several months of not seeing each other, Nobunaga's wooden sword has been replaced with a real sword.
"Don't lump in with that idiot." Pointing the sword at Law, Nobunaga curled his lips.
"Then why are you drawing your sword?" Law asked as he looked at the sword in his hand.
"If I were you, I wouldn't waste ti talking and would've already taken a swing at him." Although being called an idiot by the two n, Uvogin did not get angry, but just fueled the fire in a low-key manner.
However, Nobunaga suddenly sheathed his sword, glanced at Uvogin nonchalantly, and then said calmly: "I'm not like you."
The implication was clear: You might do sothing like that, but I wouldn't, because I'm not an idiot!
Seeing Nobunaga put his sword away, Law breathed a sigh of relief. At this mont, he saw Machi glaring at him, as if saying: You are lucky that you were able to avoid it.
Law winked at her in return, as if to assure her that everything was under control. The latter rolled her eyes and turned away, plopping down on the couch.
Uvogin and Nobunaga soon started bickering again, ignoring Law entirely.
Sanbica remained mostly silent. She thought the way these people got along with each other was quite interesting.
Chrollo, standing off to the side, observed Law quietly. His expression was calm, and when Law glanced his way, Chrollo nodded slightly in acknowledgnt.
It was a good thing that Law returned to teor City before their departure.
After all, Chrollo had always regarded Law as one of his prospective mbers.
