'So he died... Chrollo.'

Law thought this, feeling no particular emotion, and headed towards the vault where the auction items were stored.

He had walked about a hundred ters when he saw Ellie and the others clattering down the stairs, coming to stand before him.

"Is everything settled?" Ellie asked.

Law glanced back at the night outside the main entrance and nodded slightly.

"Let's head back then. I'm hungry, I want a midnight snack," Ellie said.

"Not so fast."

Law turned his gaze towards the staircase leading to the basent level.

Although he wasn't short on money, he could still clean out the mafia's auction items before leaving.

The profits obtained afterwards would depend on whether Kurapika wanted them or not… if not, they would all be donated.

Furthermore, there was still Pakunoda outside.

'Given Kurapika's strength, it probably wouldn't take too long.'

The sound of police sirens was getting closer.

Almost all the mafia mbers in Yorknew City were dead, so it was the police's turn to step in.

At the main entrance of the Cetery Building-

Pakunoda, her face filled with grief and indignation, raised a revolver and fired six consecutive shots into her own temple.

Each bullet in that gun stored the mories and experiences of a master.

By injecting these bullets into her body, she would gain these mories and experiences, and her strength would increase accordingly.

Six bullets in a row ant six sets of mories and experiences, equivalent to having six fragnted personalities forced into her mind in an instant.

Regardless of how much her strength increased, the side effects could not be ignored.

It seed Pakunoda was going all out. Even if she managed to kill Kurapika through sheer willpower and her temporarily enhanced strength, she would likely beco an idiot afterwards, unable to fully digest the mories.

Moreover, even with the enhancent, it wasn't certain she could kill Kurapika.

Kurapika, bathed in blood, stood quietly in place.

His handso face was mostly stained with blood.

"One more."

He looked at Pakunoda, whose body was shrouded in dense Aura, her expression gradually becoming manic and filled with killing intent, and lightly swung his arm.

"Kill."

His voice was like floating down, with nowhere to land.

Inside the Cetery Building.

Law led Ellie and the others to the large vault door.

He reached out, gently placing his hand on the circular vault door. Silently, the vault door fell inward onto the floor.

What t their eyes were nurous auction items, arranged in order and neatly stacked.

Law was the first to enter. His gaze swept over them, quickly identifying several auction items carrying Nen.

He walked over, directly absorbed the Nen from the auction items, increasing his Nen value by a pitifully small amount, then found the Scarlet Eyes among the various collectibles.

He bent down and picked up the Scarlet Eyes.

No matter how many tis he looked at them, these Scarlet Eyes preserved in glass containers were far less vivid than Kurapika's own Scarlet Eyes.

Within these eyeballs, one couldn't see the bloom of emotion, only the aura of death.

It was this incomplete one of the Seven Great Sights that could fetch a price of over a billion.

In this world, where even fossilized feces and fragnts of skin were collected by so, it wasn't strange at all.

Ellie and Salene also browsed among the various collectibles.

Both of them were also not short on money, especially Ellie, whose personal wealth was no less than the assets of the Lawlin Museum.

In other words, if either of them truly wanted a particular auction item in Yorknew, no one could outbid them.

"No ancient books," Salin thought disappointedly.

"No dolls," Ellie thought disappointedly.

Goldie stood at the vault entrance, as if taking on the duty of keeping watch on his own.

Stargie was quietly looking at an ancient piece of jewelry among the collectibles, which emitted a strong sense of antiquity.

Noticing Stargie's gaze, Ellie followed it, saw the jewelry, went over directly to pick it up, and then handed it to Stargie.

Stargie looked at the jewelry, remained silent for a long mont, then reached out and took it.

Seeing this, Ellie smiled and said, "This auction house specifically serves the mafia. Although there are many types of collectibles, there aren't many commodities like jewelry."

"If you like this kind of aged jewelry, I'll check the Southernpiece Auction's catalog when I get back to see if there's any jewelry. If there is, I'll buy it all."

Hearing this, Stargie nodded gently.

Hearing Ellie's words, Law glanced back at Stargie. She noticed and t his gaze, as if saying: Got a problem?

"..."

Law silently withdrew his gaze and began storing the auction items from the vault one by one into Kuro's space.

In the end, only the Scarlet Eyes and the piece of jewelry now around Stargie's neck were left.

The group left the vault and walked towards the main entrance.

The police sirens were getting closer. Probably the grim situation of the mafia made the police cautious, hence their careful approach, not having reached the scene yet.

As for who called the police, it was likely the few mafia mbers who had narrowly escaped death earlier.

Arriving at the main entrance, they just happened to see Kurapika walking in.

Although he was covered in blood, he had no injuries.

"All dead?"

Law looked at Kurapika and asked.

Kurapika nodded slightly, then fixed his eyes on the Scarlet Eyes in Law's hand.

Seeing his clansn's eyeballs, Kurapika's eyes, which had just turned back to their tea color, once again stained red.

Law walked over slowly and handed him the Scarlet Eyes.

Kurapika took the Scarlet Eyes, lowered his head, and held them silently against his chest.

His arms unconsciously tightened slightly, then quickly relaxed, afraid of breaking the glass container.

During this process, his eyes... felt sowhat warm.

He couldn't tell who these eyes belonged to.

Perhaps his father or mother, perhaps anyone from the clan.

Perhaps none of that mattered anymore. What mattered was reclaiming all his clansn's eyes scattered abroad in the remaining ti he had left in his life.

Law watched Kurapika, who held the Scarlet Eyes with his head bowed in silence, and heard the police sirens outside were very close now. After a mont's thought, he walked out of the Cetery Building.

As soon as he stepped outside, he saw Chrollo's body, severed into several sections, and Pakunoda's body, with large amounts of blood seeping from her chest.

All dead.

Law walked over, storing Chrollo and Pakunoda's bodies in his space. As for Bonolenov's body, he left it… after being reused by Kurapika, it was already a bloody ss.

He looked up at the sky. The top floor of the Cetery Building was still burning with raging flas.

By the light of the fire, he could see the rolling dark clouds in the sky, it seed like it was about to rain.

Thinking this, Law headed in the direction of the police sirens, which was a main road.

He took out the Chasefire Stone, removed a portion of it, and set up a wall of raging flas across the main road.

Over a dozen police cars arrived, slamming on their brakes.

The policen looked at the rootlessly burning wall of fire, all utterly bewildered.

After setting up the wall of flas, Law, at his fastest speed, collected the Phantom Troupe mbers' bodies into Kuro's space.

Just then, the sky, which had only been brewing for a short while, suddenly unleashed a torrential downpour.

'It seed the weather forecast was inaccurate.'

Law watched the bean-sized raindrops pouring down from the sky, thinking silently to himself.

Seeing the rain, the policen decided not to detour.

What they didn't expect was that no matter how heavy the rain fell, that wall of raging flas showed no sign of extinguishing.

In contrast, looking at the Cetery Building, the thick, billowing smoke that had been rising from the fiercely burning top floor had already been extinguished by the rain.

The person in charge of directing the police on site looked at the stubbornly unyielding wall of fire standing firm in the heavy rain, and a sudden impulse to order a retreat arose in his heart.
