Chen Mo has a habit of not liking to wait.
Rather than staring and waiting, it’s better to do sothing else. What’s ant to co will co, and who’s ant to arrive will eventually get there.
After waking up from this nap, the system naturally updated the new business hours.
[20:00~23:00]
Seeing this business range, Chen Mo finally breathed a sigh of relief. Did the system hear his prayers last night?
This thing might have only been delayed by two hours, but at 6 PM, not many people co out to eat. However, once it’s past 8 PM, it basically enters the range of late-night snacks.
Of course, after getting up, Chen Mo still had many things to do, starting with arranging work assignnts.
"Now I’m also a small boss with employees!"
Not to ntion, feeling quite happy.
Chen Mo found the phone number for Xue Ping that he noted down last night and directly dialed it.
"Oh Boss Chen, you finally contacted . I got up early just waiting for your call. What’s the work today?"
Chen Mo felt Xue Ping was a decent person with a bit of the maturity of an older brother. His younger brother didn’t seem too steady, and it was Xue An who proposed the bet.
"You all should help procure a batch of ingredients first."
"You say, let find a pen to jot it down."
A good mory is not as reliable as a bad pen. Xue An still preferred making a list before procuring to ensure nothing goes wrong.
"Five hundred jin of Thai fragrant rice."
"That much? Can it be sold out?"
Chen Mo cleared his throat, "You don’t worry about it, just buy it."
"Five hundred jin of premium pork belly, that’s the main ingredient, and the rest includes..."
It was basically Jinhua ham, mushrooms, broad bean horse chestnuts, and other seasonings used for making lion’s head atballs and fried rice.
Of course, Chen Mo specifically emphasized a part of the new ingredients needed for the new dishes to be made today.
Finally, special arrangents were made for Xue An to quickly deliver the ingredients to the Ecological Garden, and then go shopping in the market with Xue Ping, as Chen Mo needed so new equipnt.
After Xue Ping recorded everything down, he was sowhat puzzled.
Looking at this long list, even at Zhou Yu’s big restaurant before, this quantity couldn’t be sold out in a day.
Of course, whether it sells out is not the point. Business naturally has its ups and downs.
What really puzzled Xue Ping was: the quantity of these ingredients is simply not sothing one person can handle!
Especially after hearing that Chen Mo wanted him to buy several more gas stoves for stalls and other cooking utensils, Xue Ping got even more bewildered.
One food truck is not enough; are new stalls being opened?
But you, Boss Chen, are just one person.
Xue Ping didn’t think much more about it, having already agreed to the bet, he just needed to get things done. After receiving Chen Mo’s transfer, the brothers headed straight to the best local market.
When working at Zhou Yu’s restaurant before, they had so connections, knowing where the best ats and rice are.
After assigning the work, Chen Mo didn’t rush to drive to the North Gate, as there was only his car in the large parking lot anyway.
Now it was ti to start researching new dishes. This dish, Chen Mo didn’t plan to modify much, as pickles, to put it plainly, is just a small salted vegetable.
And pickle snacks are available across the country, with each place having its local specialty pickles.
Yangzhou people love pickles, but in the north, mustard pickles are preferred, while in the southern Sichuan region, pickled bamboo shoots are popular. Over thousands of years, each place has developed its unique taste preferences, and working hard on this was not very wise.
So just follow the recipe to pickle so, serving as complintary small dishes when eating rice and lion’s head atballs.
What Chen Mo was really going to develop was another snack.
Three-Piece Bun!
This is a well-known snack in Yangzhou’s morning tea culture. The filling is made of three ingredients: diced chicken, pork, and bamboo shoots, hence the na Three-Piece Bun.
Before starting, Chen Mo watched a few related videos on his phone.
"Wow, isn’t this just pure IQ tax?"
Seeing a vlog host visit a tea restaurant in Yangzhou nad Shuyue Pavilion, where Three-Piece Bun sells for 15 yuan each, the price was not unacceptable.
The key was that the restaurant had a Five-Pepper Bun!
It was made by adding sea cucumber and shrimp to the bun filling, with five ingredients mixed together, and it sold for as much as 78 Yuan!
"IQ tax, absolutely ridiculous..."
When Chen Mo saw the server handing the vlogger an ID card, showing it was the sixteen-thousand-sothing bun the restaurant had sold, he could hardly hold back laughter.
"Three-Piece Buns are enough; adding two more ingredients just seems a bit confused, plus Yangzhou buns focus more on stuffing rather than the bun skin."
Chen Mo glanced at his grade A flour. When this thing reappears, it’s bound to stir up the stall scene!
Ti to just do it!
...
The Xue Brothers didn’t finish procuring until after noon when they arrived at the Ecological Garden, the ingredients too many, so the two rented a Wuling farm vehicle to haul everything over.
"Boss Chen, the ingredients are at the North Gate. What’s the instruction now?"
Chen Mo was eating a bun, "Alright, I’m coming out."
He shoved the remaining half of the bun into his mouth in one go, "It must be the grade A flour, whoever eats this bun will be confused, lol."
The food truck swayed out of the North Gate, continuing to park in its usual spot each day.
