The Sword That Silenced the Sky

The crowd gasped.

Under that single descending sword—

The three experts of the Sky Breaker Acedmy were forced back as if struck by the wrath of heaven itself.

Dust exploded outward. Stone tiles cracked in a web beneath their heels. Even Magnus, a sage Realm expert whose na once carried weight across kingdoms, staggered three steps before stabilizing his footing. Mason’s sleeves were torn by the lingering sword wind. Max’s palm trembled slightly—though he tried to hide it.

One had to know.

Among those three—

There was a sage Realm expert.

And yet they had been driven back by one strike.

Silence fell.

A suffocating, reverent silence.

High above the ruined street, Leon stood upon his sword, robes of midnight embroidered with thin athyst lines fluttering in the wind. His long black hair flowed behind him, and those purple eyes—calm, cold, imasurably deep—looked down as if the world beneath him were rely dust.

He did not shout.

He did not posture.

He simply existed.

And that existence alone pressed against every heart present.

----------

On a nearby rooftop, Fairy Fiona’s breath slowed.

"So this... is the peak master of Celestis Academy," she murmured softly, her azure hair dancing around her bare shoulders. "He’s indeed as young as the rumors say..."

She had heard stories before. Sword light sweeping across the Forsaken Domain. A single strike suppressing King realm experts. Tales exaggerated by distance and fear.

At first, she had not believed them.

But she had just watched Leon casually repel Magnus as if brushing dust from his sleeve.

Shock rippled through her.

"However... didn’t they say he was only at King realm Five Stars?" she whispered. "Why did he suddenly beco a sage?"

Beside her, Jadis—guardian elder of the Soft Water Divine Sect—exhaled slowly.

"I do not know," he admitted. "But the Celestis Academy has produced another sage expert. Their fortune surges once more. This man’s swordsmanship..."

His eyes narrowed.

"...is extraordinary. I would find it difficult to match him."

Fiona’s gaze sharpened.

"No way, Uncle Jadis," she said softly, disbelief flickering across her teal eyes. "He is only at early sage. You stand mid-stage. Could he truly rival you?"

Jadis did not answer imdiately.

He studied the faint ripple of sword intent still lingering in the air—sharp, invisible, humming like a blade against the soul.

"I think it is far more than that," he said at last. "His sword intent... is terrifying. Not rely sharp. It pierces the spirit itself."

He shifted his gaze toward the others.

"Look."

Fiona followed his eyes.

Across the street, Rex Vine stood unnaturally still. His playful smile had faded. Behind him, the Vine household elder’s fingers tightened subtly within his sleeves.

Yasmin of the Divine Golden Sect—golden hair shining beneath the sun—watched with parted lips, her usual composed pride replaced by stunned silence.

Even Gavin, ever arrogant, had gone quiet.

Fear.

It was there.

Unspoken.

The sa fear that once followed Respected Zeon.

For a fleeting mont, it felt as if the shadow of that ancient sword immortal had descended once more.

-----------

"Oh my god... as expected of God Leon! My idol is aweso!"

Harry Taylor nearly jumped in place, clapping his hands like an overexcited spectator.

"This is a true expert! Look at that aura! That temperant! That pressure! Haha—who dares provoke us now?"

It was almost embarrassing how thrilled he looked.

Rias covered her mouth and giggled softly.

Selena shot him a flat look before stepping forward, silver-white hair shimring.

She bowed deeply.

"Greetings, Teacher."

Leon’s gaze softened slightly when it fell upon her.

"Mm. Rise."

Just that.

But the tension in her chest eased.

He had co.

--------

Leon’s eyes shifted.

Cold.

Unforgiving.

They settled on Max, Magnus, and Mason.

A quiet anger coiled beneath his calm expression.

He had left for only a short ti.

And yet—

His students had nearly been cornered by arrogance and power gas.

Worse.

Soone had dared boast that even Mike—Headmaster of Celestis Academy—must show them respect.

His voice ca, steady as drawn steel.

"Just now... you said that even if my Celestis Academy’s Headmaster were present, he would have to show you so respect. Correct?"

His gaze pierced Magnus directly.

"Shall I interpret that as Sky Breaker Acedmy declaring provocation against Celestis Academy?"

The air seed to grow heavier.

Max’s heart sank instantly.

Magnus’s face turned ashen.

He had spoken those words in arrogance.

Now they echoed back like a blade at his throat.

Headmaster Mike.

Peak sage.

An existence brushing the edge of pinnacle Realm.

How dare he demand respect from such a man?

The atmosphere shifted again.

Not violent.

Not oppressive.

But undeniable.

Fiona felt it first.

A tremor within her chest.

Not fear.

Sothing else.

Her gaze lifted toward Leon.

She had t countless geniuses of this era. Saints. Heirs. Sword prodigies who dazzled kingdoms. Even those who called themselves future Martial Emperor seeds.

Yet standing before Leon—

All of them felt like muddy water beside a clear moonlit lake.

It was not just strength.

It was certainty.

An unwavering, quiet dominance.

Her heartbeat betrayed her calm.

Yasmin felt it too.

She had grown within golden halls, surrounded by brilliance, praised as unparalleled beauty and talent of her generation.

But the mont Leon’s purple eyes swept across the crowd—

Her breath hitched.

Not because he looked at her.

But because he did not.

There was no greed.

No appraisal.

No hunger.

Only composure.

And that indifference struck deeper than admiration ever could.

Yasmin lowered her gaze unconsciously.

Why... does my chest feel tight?

Rex Vine sensed the shift in both won and hid a faint frown.

Even he, saint of the Vine household, could not deny it.

Leon’s presence overshadowed the entire scene.

Like a sovereign descending.

------

Jadis leaned closer to Fiona and murmured softly,

"Rember this mont."

Fiona did not answer.

Her eyes remained on Leon.

"I have seen countless strong figures in this era," Jadis continued quietly. "But before him... even the brightest appear ordinary."

Fiona swallowed.

For the first ti in a long while—

She felt small.

And strangely drawn.

Not by appearance.

Not rely by strength.

But by the stillness behind his power.

A sword that had no need to prove itself.

Yasmin’s guardian from the Divine Golden Sect stepped slightly forward, instinctively protective.

Yet even he did not dare speak lightly.

The sword intent lingering in the air warned them all.

One misstep—

And the sky itself might split again.

---------

Below, Rias looked up at Leon with shining red eyes.

That was her Teacher.

Her anchor.

Her pride.

Selena stood straighter, Divine Ice Bones humming faintly within her.

Their Teacher had arrived.

And everything felt different.

-------

Leon’s voice finally fell again, low and asured.

"Fellow cultivator Leon—"

Magnus forced himself to correct, bowing slightly.

"Fellow Principal Leon... this was a misunderstanding."

But the weight of that earlier boast still lingered between them.

And everyone knew—

The balance of Ashford City had just shifted.

Completely.
